  1. Hi!

Congratulations to those who passed their citizenship interviews and to those who are already US citizens! :) I submitted my N400 in August 2018 with pending I-751(July 2017).  I initially got an interview schedule in May for an interview in June in Tampa, but I got a letter from Fort Myers Field Office correcting the letter that it would be in Fort Myers.  They canceled that one, and I got another letter in June for my interview in Tampa on August 13. I will have my interview next week! I am nervous and excited at the same time. :)  I was worrying that they would cancel it again or it was a wrong field office, but I saw this thread. I was relieved that others are also going to Tampa. How did it go for those with pending I-751? My interview is at 7:00 AM. Was there anyone who had his that early, too? Thank you to those who shared their interview experience. :)

  2. Hi, everyone!

I hope you are all doing well! :) I will have my N400 interview next week. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I still don't have my 10 year GC, so hopefully I will have a combo interview.  I had a previous interview schedule in June,  but they canceled it. This time, my interview will be in a different field office.  Any news on those with pending I-751 and N400 interview?

  3. I'm a CSC July 27, 2017 filer-WAC 17296. The last update was on March 5, 2018-Case was received at my local office. Most of the cases before and after me were already approved.

    N-400-NOA1-08/14 and biometrics on 09/07

Has anyone who filed for citizenship got his I-751 approval(without the combo interview)? My friend who is an August filer (CSC) got her 10 year GC almost a month ago-no N-400. I wonder if the N-400 delays the ROC. At least 3 months have already passed since I submitted my N-400. It's just nice to be done with the ROC.

Congratulations to everyone who already got approved! For all of us who are still waiting-let's hang in there. :)

Just want to say thank you to all of you. I have been reading your posts everyday for the last few months. It helps me deal with my stress alot.

    here is my timeline:

    NOA - 07/11/17

    Biometrics - 8/9/17

    Approval - 7/31/18

wish all of you guys the best of luck!!!!

    Congratulation! :)

  5. Guess what? I got a letter in the mail today! I got my biometrics appointment letter. Finally! After 10 months!  I wasn't even expecting one anymore. I thought they would reuse my old biometrics. It's not an approval letter, but it's great to finally hear from them. In a month or so, most of us will be eligible to apply for citizenship anyway. Did anyone receive their biometrics letter this month?

Today, we received in the mail, an I-797 "Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved.  You are deemed to be a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States as of the date of your original admission or adjustment of status.  You should receive a new Permanent Resident Card ... within 60 days."

We were greatly surprised and didn't expect this for another 6-9 months.  The letter is dated Feb 28, and yet, the online status says that our case was transferred to our local office on March 4.  Seems backwards.

Yay! Congratulations! :) Did you receive a biometrics appointment? I still haven't received mine.

Hello cheesecake_A+J! And you are at California Service Center too, great! :) Let's hope! Do you plan on calling USCIS sometime or just wait for now? I'm kind if hesitating whether I should call.

Yes, CSC, too! :) I think I'll just wait, unless it is already September and I still do not have any letter from USCIS. I was hoping I will get a letter in the mail today. I noticed that no one with NOA1 from the last week of July has received an appointment letter yet, unless they are not updating it.

    Hello everyone!

    I'm also a July filer.

07/24/2017 - I-751 package sent to California Service Center

    07/26/2017 - NOA1 date (I received it on 08/01/2017)

I haven't gotten my biometrics appt letter yet :clock:

Hi, Anna51! Same here, I sent my package on 7/22/2017 and my NOA1 date is 7/24/2017. Hopefully we get our biometrics appointment letter this week. :)

  9. I received my NOA1 today! It's dated July 24th. I also got my  new passport in the mail today. It is nice receiving important documents in the mail and not only bills and junk mail. :)

For those who already got their biometrics appointment, how many days after receiving your NOA1 did you receive your letter for your biometrics appointment? Thank you and have a great weekend, everyone! :)

Awesome for you Guys! Good Luck. I hope to be sending ours tomorrow :D It looks like everyone is getting their bio-metrics letters quickly after they sent in the package. Hope it stays moving.

Hi! Thank you! I'm so happy that the ROC packet is out of our house already. Haha! Now, I can focus on other things. :) Good luck to you, too. I hope it will be a smooth process for all of us.

  11. I got my Interview Waiver letter about 2 months ago and today I woke up to this:

    New Card Is Being Produced

On September 19, 2015, we ordered your new card (...)

    :)

    Congrats!!! :)

I saw your post. I checked my status and it also said "New Card Is Being Produced." Our cards were produced the same day. lol.

Yay!!! Thank God for this blessing! We didn't have an interview and we didn't need to wait for a long time! :)

  12. Hey guys,

I haven't been in here for a while, my job is keeping me busy lol. I'm not up to date anymore. ;)

Just wanted to let you all know that I received my greencard this week!! I didn't even expect it, it was soo surprising! I got an interview waiver letter the end of July and I thought it would at least take another 6 months like they mentioned in the letter. I still can't believe it went so fast!

So there is hope for all the people that are getting interview waiver letters! :)

    Have a great evening!

Congrats! Did your status change online or did you just receive your green card in the mail?

  13. Quick update on our progress:

I left to go back to England on the 1st July, in the week or so running up to my departure my AP/EAD card had not yet been approved. I submitted an expedite request based on financial loss (just under $40k, so in my eyes thats pretty substantial) it got declined. HOWEVER we contacted all our local congressmen/senators who agreed that it should qualify. One aide was particularly helpful, calling USCIS on our behalf and eventually the agreed to expedite it and overnight ship it to us so that I could travel! :joy:

It was the old style paper AP document. A couple of days into my trip my EAD card got approved- so I knew i'd have that waiting when I got back. I had the most pleasant immigration/customs experience yet travelling back to the US. I was nervous they would be asking all sorts of questions but the woman behind the desk said "Honey welcome home!" and made a point of addressing me by my married name, not my maiden name on my passport. She led me back to the scary back room to get a special stamp on my paper AP document. While I was in there my husband waited outside with our luggage, 3 male immigration officers rushed out to 'mess with him', they pretended that I had been detained and my husband would have to pay $500. When we were walking off to our connecting flight they all said 'congratulations' and couldn't have been nicer.

Anyway, i've been back a week now and I had a notice of potential interview waiver in the mail. Not sure if I should worry about this or not. I originally got my SSN when I first moved here so I was able to open a bank account etc. I will just need to update it with my married name now that I have my EAD to prove status.

It's great that it worked out and you were able to travel! :) Welcome to the NPIW club.

Just phoned uscis and the national benefits center are currently processing February 4th for AOS - for all those NPIW

That's good to know. :) Thanks! I saw someone from my field office who got approved recently- after 4 months of receiving their NPIW.

I got my updated Social Security card last Friday. I received it after 8 business days.

We've been busy packing and moving. We had to move for my job. My husband and I will start our new jobs in 2 weeks. It's a blessing that he found a job close to where we need to move. We wanted to make sure he had another job before quitting his job now in case we had an AOS interview. Well, that doesn't matter now because we got the NPIW! Errr... :) I told him he could have a vacation for a while. Haha!

Have a great week, everyone! I hope you receive quickly whatever it is you're waiting for (combo card, SS card, interview letter, job offer, baby (lol), etc). :)

  14. Thank you! :)

The only downside is having to pull my daughter from school on the day of (8/25) since it's a Tuesday. Oh well, guess I'll have to tell the wife to make sure that she grabs her homework for the day!

I hope more of the April filers are next to receive their K-1 AOS interview?

That's fine. At least it's only the start of the school year and hopefully she doesn't have any major quiz or test. I won't mind missing work for an interview. lol. :)

    Congrats!

My NOA is April 7, still nothing lol..

    Happy Thursday everyone!!!

I noticed (based on studying the timelines) that most of the filers from California receive their interview schedules fast. There are some who take longer, but most are processed fast. There are also some from other states who get it fast, and USCIS can be unpredictable and totally random. I hope that you will be one of the blessed ones who will get interviewed right away. :)

Have you started working? I hope that you are enjoying your new job. :)

  15. Good morning and happy Thursday everyone. I just received an updated email/text from USCIS stating that we have been scheduled for an interview for the AOS I-485 (Green card). We were scheduled for next month (8/25) at our nearest USCIS field office which I'm assuming will be Fresno, CA. Hardcopies of the interview notice should be received within a week or so God willing. :)

    All the best to all,

    -Gera

    Yay! That's great! :)

You're the first one who got a schedule for an interview among K-1 filers, I think? I hope it goes well! :)
