Cookie Monster 14 got a reaction from TBoneTX in Interview this morning / AOS approved [merged threads]
Just got back from our interview and some "light" celebration. We got approved within about 30 minutes. Our I.O. was really nice and asked only a few questions based on our AOS that was already submitted. She had the complete file that was sent in, which was a big help. She asked about our marriage, showed her our marriage certificate and new joint information (bank and retirement funds etc). She looked through our photo album and talked about the adventures we have had over the past 3 years together. And then she said "she saw no reason not to approve this case for it seems obvious you are fully committed to each other"....It was music to our ears as we both let out an internal scream of happiness. It seemed to help that we had pictures of us together with our families. We took so much information with us that we didn't need to go through half of it. But trust us it is better to over prepare then to only prepare based on the list they give you. Since we have only been married since May of this year we have to do an I-751 in two years. Not too bad, understanding there is MORE paperwork to do but at this point we feel we can get through anything after all of this and besides we have the input of people on Visa Journey too.
By the time we got back home we checked on the USCIS to check both the I 485 and I 130 status and they had both be changed to approved and the I 485 card is in production. Now we just need to sit back and wait for the little green card to get here and in the mean time celebrate. We totally thank and appreciate everyone who has helped us in the process on Visa Journeys and beyond. We hope we can share our experience and things we did with many newbie visa journey folks.
Thanks again and cheers!!!! Love knows no bounds and love is LOVE!!!!!!!!!
