  1. I got notification on March 5th that it was sent and called on March 11th. They still don't have it. She said it takes 35 days for them to receive it and then it will take an additional 4 weeks to assign a case number. Holy hell, why do things move so slowly? I can only imagine it's another 2 months just to get P3 and schedule an interview.

Just called the NVC and got the same message. I'd like to think its BS as well but unfortunately with the way USCIS has handled estimations and things of that nature, they seem to be unfortunately very inaccurate and always seems like its way more then the estimation. Unless there is info I haven't seen yet that proves otherwise, it looks like there is still plenty of battles left to be fought. 2 months just to get P3 Holy Hell indeed

  2. NOA2 at 9:30 sharp!!! 203 days later we finally can move on to the next step. Thank you everyone for your support through this. I did not write much but believe me this group was very important to me. It was on my visa tabs for so long being refreshed everyday to read what everyone had to say. I cannot thank you guys enough. Please don't give up waiting. Everyone's time will come soon. We will all be with our loved ones one day and all this will be a painful memory.

  3. Do you have a way to be notified about petition approval or an RFE?

"Face time" counts greatly in the eyes of the [censored] Guayaquil consulate, which is not a place to trifle with. Be there on the premises when it comes time for the visa interview.

My parents will be receiving my mail so yes I will be able to be notified for either an approval or god forbid an RFE. I just want to spend time with my fiancé and not disrupt our petition in any way. I have read the stories about the infamous Guayaquil consulate. I figured it would work out better to spend time over there waiting for an interview date.

Will the sponsorship be affected? If no then that's fine.

Will you still have a place of residence in the usa? Is yes then that's fine.

As long as you aren't jeprodising the requirements you will have no problem.

Thank you for your advice! This makes me very happy. It sounds like I'm good to go

  4. Hello Visa Journey,

I wanted to ask if it was possible for me, the petitioner, to spend the rest of my finances visa process together in her home country of ecuador. TSC has truly put our relationship through significant troubles and I cannot bear to spend any more time away from my fiancé and our unborn child. I believe I can continue with the visa process but I just wanted to make sure. Would there be any trouble continuing the process because I am not in the US?

  5. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner...... Doesn't this make you want to hurt someone? Their response is so incredibly vague and irresponsible, that if this were a press conference, the general public would assume that we are just a bunch of whiners who can't have it our way. The language that they use so calmly really makes my blood boil.

My fiancé and I can't take much more of this. I've reached the point of considering putting myself through tough financial hardships just so I can spend time with my future wife and unborn child. I am so very sick of this process.

185 days with nothing but the same message hat I have read 185 times from the wonderful and committed USCIS. 26 Mondays waking up excited and happy and hopeful for the coming week. Countless breakdowns because the future is so uncertain. Countless refreshes of this forum which has become one of my top sources for compassion, comfort and most of all understanding. It's hard to stay positive. It truly is.

  6. Thank you all for your kind words and advice. And I have read your story Dizzdemey. Truly saddened about the circumstances that you face but admire your strength and willingness to help others. Appreciate the ear thank you. Tabeak, I truly hope the post NOA2 does not take 3 more months. At least with the Ecuadorian embassy it seems to wrap up fairly quickly taking between a month or two. And msbau764 I know i should make it work to be with her. But I'm in this internal conflict with myself debating whether it is better to be financially secure and ensuring that my fiancé and child have a home, car and savings to arrive to, or if using my savings to simply be with my fiancé is the right thing to do.

  7. My fiancé is approaching 3 months pregnant and our day counter since starting this visa process is at 172. I'm losing my mind because it seems like July is still getting processed. I am terrified that we will have to spend the entire pregnancy apart or that I will have to put severe financial strain on myself just to be with my fiancé. Do you guys think we will hear something soon? I've ran my own numbers and it seems that the average day counter is at 190-210. Or maybe I am eligible to be an expedited case? I can't stand to even think that I may very well not be around for my fiances pregnancy. I don't know what the proper course of action is. TSC has my life in their hands. That is a terrible and scary statement onto itself isn't it....?

  8. This is a truly fascinating thread that I cannot stop reading. I always thought it was just encouraged for me to be present at the interview. I literally just returned from visiting my fiancé almost 2 weeks ago. According to the stats on VJ my NOA2 should be coming soon or I should have already received it. It is so damn difficult to gauge when the interview is going to be and to be able to save money accordingly while saving money for my little angel as well as my future wife for our life in the states. It also seems like Ecuadorian I-129F tend to take longer to process then average, is their anyway to gauge it so I can begin planning accordingly?

Thank you as we'll for showing me the threads! I feel like rereading them now actually.

  9. Hello Visa Journey! A few days ago my fiancé and I received the wonderful news that we are expecting a child. While this was certainly beautiful news, I grew concerned as to how this would affect the I-129F petition if at all. I've read contradicting statements such as I, as the father, would need to type out and sign a letter of acknowledgment and reassurance of sorts, of my child's presence and my intent of marrying not changing due to the circumstances, and statements saying that I don't need to do that as it will raise some eyebrows. I don't know what the next move is in terms of the process. Naturally I want my fiancé ASAP and don't want any hiccups along the way especially now that we are on a timer as I want my child to be born in the states.

My question is: My fiancé is pregnant 127 days into the visa process. Do I need to do anything concerning this change or just wait patiently for my NOA2
