Quick Question"
There is a 4 day gap, my wife stopped to visit her sister in the UAE before she moved here, so I am missing a 4 days on the application.. because she was traveling.
Left South Africa on 06/01/2015 landed in the US on 06/05/2015. What shall I enter? Thoughts?

Also have a letter in the mail. Currently at work but my wife will open it as soon as it arrives.
When exactly does one become eligible to apply for citizenship? Three years right?

Finally got the letter saying they would use my previous biometrics.
Do you mind posting a picture ? I have yet to see this elusive notice that we are waiting for.

Update: I called USCIS and talked to a tier II person about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday, I finally received a letter saying that they can use my biometrics data that's done in the past, and I don't need biometrics this time. Probably, this could be the case too for the people who are still waiting biometrics appointment. Honestly, I don't think the online service request is accurate because I also received an email stating they're still in the process of scheduling my biometrics appointment when I didn't need one...
I called on Friday and was told that I hadn't missed an appointment and that they may be using the previous biometrics as well. I have yet to receive a letter saying the latter. Hopefully we get it on paper too...

Put in a service request on 8/21. Received an email response on 9/5. Still no biometrics letter. Called today.. was told to wait until 10/6.
All for a biometrics appointment....

After calling on the 21st. We received an email today, 9/5 with the following explanation.
On 08/21/2017, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-751/CRI89 to notify us that you have not received an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center (ASC). Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.
Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice for this process. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice by mail once an appointment date has been established for you.

We have yet to receive a biometrics appointment letter, called today and they made a service appointment. Hopefully they will give us an updated on whats going on soon.

We sent transcripts as they are apparently preferred over returns. I have read that a lot of people didn't bother with transcripts because it was "too much hassle", but it took me all of about 10 minutes to do the online paperwork and print them right from home.
Thank you! I finally got the IRS website to work with me. It was not verifying my phone number. My wife's information pulled it up like a breeze though.

Hello, wife and I will be filing on Monday. How many of you sent Tax transcripts instead of tax returns?
-
Green card approved. Good luck to you all.

For the AOS interview, what all did you take with you? My checklist includes: all documentation establishing your eligibility for lawful permanent resident status? (The heck is this?)
And then any immigration related documentation ever issued.(including the entire packet submitted for the k-1?)
Thank you for your help!

Interview scheduled for Friday and tips?
-
Got our interview hard copy. I was wondering those who have already done the interview, did you take all current stuff or did you take copies of what you submitted (for the pay stubs, employer letter, etc.) thank you for your time

Just had my green card interview! Got aproved! Everything went great and hardly any questions were asked. Very excited to be USCIS free for almost two years!
CONGRATS! How was the interview? What did they ask?
-
Interview scheduled for 10-16-15 a day before my wife's birthday!
Still no news on EAD/AP ?
-
Our case was updated today. We are finally ready to be scheduled for an interview!
No update on the EAD/AP. I imagine they should update it soon?

Our DMV isn't very informed on what they needed just for the ID, so I'm trying to prepare myself for their lack of knowledge when it comes to a driver's license. Hopefully they will take the NOA1. Thank you for your response ?Yeah..it absolutely depends on your state. In Missouri I can get my driver's license only when I get my combo card with work permit or with NOA2 (approved GC). Check with your dmv office
-
I'm assuming with your NOA1 for the adjustment of status and not the EAD or AP.I guess it all depends on which state you're applying from. In Atlanta, my permit was for my i-94 date which should expire on Sept 5. But I went in for my road test last week and I got Driver's License for 4 months with my NOA1.
Some states gives up to 6 months or 1 year with NOA1. So just check their website or call them.
Good luck
Thank you so much for your help.
Wow your ID is valid for a long time, they went based off of my wife's I-94.I'm frm WA state, i don't have a SSN yet and i just got my state ID last week which is valid until 2021. We had to go to an interview at the DMV office. I also just got my Learner's Permit about a week after I got my state ID since I don't want to take the Driver's Test yet and I wanted to learn the rules of the road in my state. My Permit is valid for 1 year. In 2-3 months I'm gonna take the driver's test and apply for the license.
What documents did you take with you??!!

So we need some state driver's license help.
My wife got her ID card, which is only valid for the 90 days from the day she entered on her K-1 visa. Now she wants to test for her driver's license. So the 90 days is up on September 2nd. What experiences have you all had with acquiring a driver's license and how long have they been valid for?

Got our hardcopy of the RFE: forgot my signature on the I-184. ??????
Glad it was something that simple!

My wife had her biometrics on 10/17/2018. Her interview was scheduled for 12/12/2018. She passed. She had filed to Remove conditions, more than a year ago...which was adjudicated the same day as her interview. We are currently just waiting for the oath ceremony.
