  1. Hey everyone,

So my noa1 was March 25 2014 and I finally got my noa2 March 2nd. And my case has still not received nvc... Even tho it was supposbly sent March 18. So me and my fiancé are over dealing with this whole process and were thinking we should just got and get married and apply for aos! The thing is I am a Canadian citizen and he is a Canadian/ American citizen! Thoughts?

    Thanks

    Alicia

  2. Hey!

I am to a Canadian and dealing with TSC. We applied march 2014 and are still waiting on his petition. We got a RFE In December wanting proof we were getting married in 90 days... And it says online we should hear back on march 3rd.

Now when it comes to traveling ... I have never had a problem and I go down every 9 days .. I work a 9/5 schedule so I fly there for my. 5 days off and have been doing this for 2 years and have never been stopped. As long as your honest with everything you have nothing to worry about . I have entered thru Calgary , Edmonton and toronto. I also have entered thru Houston taking the red eye . So you will not have a problem.

  3. its nice to see we are not the only CDN/US couple dealing with the same crazy wait times... yeah its super frustrating.. considering the proof is crazy.. our file our lawyer sent was huge.. so really weird we even got a RFE. The thing is my friend used our lawyer and just went ahead and got married and everything only took them from Oct 2014- dec 2014!! so I kinda was like I wish we would have taken that route.. same thing with my fiancé.. he just went ahead and got married with his first wife.. and everything went thru really fast.. its like you do it the right way and it takes sooo long :( do you guys see each other often like us??? I was wondering if they didn't rush ours because they had all the proof of how much I cross the boarder...

  4. we sent in a copy of my engagement ring and our wedding bands .. copy of communication with booking our venue... convo's between me and his mom and me and him regarding the wedding.. pics of my parents coming down to visit over the summer.

yes we have used a lawyer from start to finish.... and he is the same one his parents used.. my fiancé used to become legal and his brother... and they seemed to have no issues. I never have trouble when crossing twice a month.. they never even ask when I am coming back.. they usually just stamp my passport to stay for the 6 months.

  5. so how me and my fiancé met on match.com... all I did was look on his page and he sent me a message ... and we started talking and realized we were both from Canada let alone a province of 900,000 people and that I was related to the best man in his sisters wedding and he grew up with one of my ex's ( small world) this was in july 2013... that july I went down to texas for the first time to meet him... and I work on a oil site.. so I work rotational,... so it give me the opportunity to go back and fourth.. he then came up to Canada to meet my family in dec 2013 and at that point we knew we wanted to get married to we talked to our lawyer then.. and he hadn't brought me a ring yet.. but we knew we wanted to get married and he still wanted it to kinda be a surprise.. so we applied for the k1 in march.. he gave me the ring june 5th 2014 the day we moved into our new house. my fiancé is a dual citizen and its because he married an American in 2003 and had a son with her and then he filed for divorce in 2008 and at that point he had his naturalization ... he sponsored his parents a year ago.. so I wasn't sure if that may have had something to do with it.
