No format. Maybe you could just write about each trip in the chronological order and print it out and then attach the tickets and other supporting docs after it in the same order.

Well good for her.I do not think I said anything different from this. Official name change means getting your name changed in important official documents.
And once a person makes the "decision" like you said they need to, they also need to go change their name in the documents.
Have a nice day.

Ok first of all, please learn some manners. Nobody is "spreading" any "nonsense".
I'll still choose to be polite enough to give you some advice. If you're saying your wife hasn't changed her name in her official documents like SSN, drivers license and passport then better go do it.

You can't just start using your husband's surname and it doesn't become "your new surname" unless you have officially got a name change.

That's because she opted for the name change during marriage hun.. it's a personal choice

That's what I meant by an official name change. You have to get it changed with the SSA before you start officially using it.

Yes. That was the whole point. The question was if they can just start using their husband's surname everywhere after getting married. My answer is still no. You cannot automatically start using your husband's surname after a marriage certificate. I got married few months back too, but I can't just use my husband's surname because I did not get my name changed. Either at SSA or in the AOS application and then at SSA, either way it has to be changed first.

That's great that it worked out for you. I'm not sure about insurance, maybe it worked because in insurance you just add the person's name for now. It doesn't require the person's IDs or documents until the insurance is being applied for. That's when the name would be matched with the ID containing the new name.

Hi,
FIrst of all, congratulations on your marriage!
To answer your doubts,
a) Your name or surname will not change unless you file for an official name change
b) Your A number is written on the NOA2 that you had received during the K1 visa process, it would also be printed on the K1 visa in your passport
c) You check status as permanent resident because that is what you are applying for. Naturalisation means citizenship
d) I'm not sure what you meant but maybe she meant sending in your AOS application to USCIS as soon as you get married. That's what they told me during mine
e) You can write a tentative date when you have a possibility of travelling. Doesn't have to be exact dates

salmuf reacted to KayDeeCee in Letter Samples (merged)
A letter outlining your love story is not required. Stating how, when and where you met is. If it fits on the form itself, then that is all you need. If you want to writ more than fits for #34a, then use a supplement page. Instructions for supplement/attachment pages are in the I-129F instructions.
As for the letters of intent, they just need to be simple statements from each of you that you intend to marry within 90 days of entrance, with original signatures.
These samples work perfectly >
