  1. An explanation of why you were not required to file taxes will be sufficient. Why do you not have any pay stubs? The employer letter by itself may not be good enough, you may need to provide some solid evidence of your income through pay stubs, or possibly evidence of your direct deposits from your jobs through bank statements. Also, if you are at the 125% of the poverty level, which for a household size of 2 you are, then you are fine and no need to include assets.

Thank you so much but how will an employer letter not be sufficient if it is listed in the instructions for the I-134 ? they only stated employer letters but nothing about paystubs

  2. Hello there,

I have 3 questions about the supporting documents for the I-134 form. I just sent out my I-129F packet but i wanted to start preparing myself for the next step.

Now 1st question is that last year I was a dependent on my dads taxes (2013) however I just started working two jobs this year and make around 20,000 dollars a year. I have heard that the embassy may require my latest tax return but can I just write them a letter stating that I was a dependent on the 2013 tax return but will file for 2014 and will be available for the I-184???

2nd question is that both of my jobs I get a direct deposit to my bank account so no paystubs to show (also very long and painful process to get bank statements), will an employer letter only from both jobs work fine ???

3rd question is that I know i am at the borderline with my income so should I also provide information on my assets (extra money in the bank)??

NOTE: one more thing having a cosponser is not an option for me whatsoever, I tried to get one but I have no one able or willing. I'm on my own on this one :)

thanks in advance for your time!!

  3. Hii everyone, I have a small question about the interview but first let me explain my case really quick

I was born here in Oregon, USA and lived here until the 6th grade my parents built a house in Syria and moved there in 2006 (btw I'm part syrian/turkish)

I met my fiance in my first year of high school (9th grade 2010) and we have been together ever since. Around a year and a half after that my fiance moved to Jeddah saudi arabia, and shortly after I moved to riyadh saudi arabia. he visited numerous times but only at my house due to the religious culture and strict policy that forbids unmarried couples being together in public. He proposed to me at my house on December 31, 2012 (it was a surprise :luv: ). Just last year i moved back to oregon for college and I want my love with me now!

Now my question is, even though we have been together for such a long time but in our culture we have boundaries when it comes relationships and engagements, We never really took photos together due of it being inappropriate for our culture since we are not yet married. and in case if you were wondering in our culture engagements are a bit different, the guy must ask the girls father for permission to marry his daughter and everything is done under our parents supervision until we get married.

I have provided in my I-129F packet chat/call logs from different social networks, a sworn statement from me that we met each other, and a letter from my mother that she is aware of our relationship and witness him proposing to me (I wanted to front load just in case) aside from passport stamps and residency permits but I know at the interview he has to provide proof of ongoing relationship and I am worried that lack of photos together will get us denied. Will they be ok if he just explained our situation and gave them other proofs?

he is going to do the interview at the Riyadh embassy in saudi arabia

I know it's a bit early in the process but i want to be prepared.

  4. Hey I didn't the same thing. I called uscis and they were able to fix it. All I needed was my case number. Maybe two weeks later I recieved a letter in the mail confirming that they added my ssn.

Complete a new form to include you SS#. Mail it certified/return receipt along with a very clear cover letter explaining that you forgot to enter your SS# on the initial filing. It might get to your file before they pack it up and send it back to you if you are lucky. Send it NOW! It can't hurt. It might not work but if you don't send it there is no chance they will simply complete the incomplete for for you.

    Good luck and God Bless,

    David

We had the opposite experience, we got our NOA1 9 days before our status updated to say our cheque bounced :P for some reason the bank didn't want to let go of the money! Thankfully our petition wasn't rejected, probably because we already had our NOA1, and my husband was given the option of paying by card over the phone. No harm no foul :)

If anything they will just send you an RFE asking for complete info. Just slows thing down by about 2 weeks or so.

What's done (or not done) can't change at this time.

    So don't worry too much.

With little bit of luck, they will catch your SSN from the other doc.

Or they could also issue RFE to confirm the SSN,

In the worst possible case, let's say they reject right away.

Then you simply correct the document and submit it again.

Ok...it will costs you another $340 and little bit of time...but this is the worst case.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think when a petition is rejected right away, they don't cash the check. Again, I'm not sure but I think that's what I've read here on the forum. It's a different story when the petition is denied.

I can see that...that makes sense...!

I'm not so sure, they cashed my check before I even got NOA1! Government loves their money :P I don't think they'd let it go so easy.

Thank all soo much for your replies I really appreciate it!! I went to the USPS website and fill out an intercept from for the packet and successfully made sure the people in the Lewisville post office located it and return it to me before it reaches immigration. I barely made it but I'm getting it back soon and this time I will make sure to check everything 1 million times!!

  5. Just out of my curiosity. Which form did you use for biographic information? G-325A or G-325? If you used wrong form probably they will rejected your application. Someone here had the experience before.

Oh I am sorry I used G-325A, Thankfully I have everything correct and all the documents they need with all the proof and evidence. Just the social security part is driving me insane.

  6. Actually it may be a big thing. Failure of the petitioner to provide their SSN on the I-129F petition may result in rejection. Refer to page 6 of the Forum I-129F instructions for more information: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I know i just checked it :( I have it on my G-325 but is there a way I can call them and tell them that I forgot to put it and it's available on my G-325? I dont want to wait months to get a rejection and file again that wil take forever. Is there a way to fix it now?

Don't worry. Little mistake like that won't hurt. My husband misspelled my address on I-129F and we did not encounter any problem. We were approved in 38 days without RFE. You should be just fine.

I hope so I am very worried!! and congrats <3 :)

  7. Hi there, my name is Nawal (petitioner) and i just sent in my I-129F for my fiance yesterday (8/26/2014) and just looking through the extra copies that I have I just realized that I was stupid enough not to notice that my social security number wasn't on the I-129F!!! luckily it is on my G-325 but now i have no idea what to do. I swear i checked my papers over 20 times and i cant believe i didnt notice this horrible mistake. Before anyone judges me I am only human and checking over 123 pages is very overwhelming even though what i missed was dreadful. I still havent received my NOA1 yet, but is there a way if I call them and tell them my mistake and tell them that my SSN is on my G-325 for proof will they fix it for me on the phone? I have heard that mailing them won't do me any good because it may get lost. I am scared there is no way of fixing it and after a long wait have my whole I-129F denied and sent back due to improper filing. I really want to fix it from the very beginning and not get delayed.

Thanks in advance and hoping for a reply soon.
