Mines December 29th, when you completed the I 751 form did you write NA in all blue boxes that did not apply to you, for example the multiple children boxes and the interpreters boxes?

    thanks

Hey there ! I am in the mist of filling things out but yes, where not applicable just place N/A and we are doing it for all spots or placing “none” (as it is indicated in the directions ). They are very picky so, don’t give them a reason to be

Hi E-N, you might want to update your timeline, its still on K-1 Status, I can't see your husband's Conditional PR card expiry. Mine ends on March 29th, my window starts on 29 Dec, and I will probably be sending either first week of Jan or on 29th Dec itself.

Here's the link to the guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/751guide

Mailing the Packet & What to do While You Wait

The I-751 form and accompanying documents are mailed to either the USCIS California or Vermont Service Centers (click here to see the filing location for your state) depending on your state of residence. (Use certified mail or priority mail with delivery confirmation, and write "Attention: I-751 petition to remove conditions of status" on the envelope under the address.) You will receive a notice of receipt for the form stating that "Your alien card is extended one year - employment and travel authorized". Keep the receipt with your green card. If by some chance you are not approved within a year you will want to make an InfoPass appointment to go to your Local Office to request an I-551 stamp in your passport. This does happen as it sometimes it takes over a year to be approved. After your NOA extension expires, this is your only evidence of legal status which you are required to have, by law. This happens occasionally, that a case takes over a year, but it's rare. Local Offices will not give an I-551 stamp if you have another type of evidence of status (ie, expired Green Card + extension letter).

To make it simpler for you,

File Removal of Conditions I-751 with USD680 > Wait > Notice of Action aka I-797C or RFE > Waits > Biometrics appointment

Good that you actually brought this topic up, I'm planning for a vacation home after getting extension letter, but now I'm worried that I might miss the Biometrics appointment!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for this info ! I will update all this shortly . Time to get busy !!

No can file at any day after 12/18, just before the expiration date of the LPR card.

Thank you for clarifying for me ! Time to get busy again lol !

  3. One more question ... I am so deconditioned with all of this as it has been so long . So, for the biometrics , I know you include the fee with initial filing but , I don’t recall if he goes ahead and gets the biometrics done and include it with initial filing or if USCIS gave him authorization at a certain point to do it ?! Help I don’t recall the steps . Getting reaclamated lol 😂

  4. one last question. The letter we received states it came from the application support center but, it states "Attention A-File ############" then it has Re: X I130 petition for Alien Relative Re: X I-485. we only filed the AOS (which included the advance parole which he has in hand already since November and his authorization to work permit) Do you think the I-130 is a mistake? don't want them to say we missed something... thoughts?

  5. Thanks Nick-Nich which, under normal guidelines K-1 is not required to have an interview and if so, just for their annual quota records or what have you or training purposes . I know he got the I 693 immunization record filled out because he said he watched the lady do it . Of course , USCIS epic fail with everything so, the left hand as always never alerts the right hand when to work together .... Stupiditis. Now, what makes me angry is we filled in September everything was approved blah blah blah they cancelled his appointment for interview back in November as his interview was 12/17 so now, here we are February yes his original medical expired bc you don't need one if one was done overseas and you file within one year. He did his medical last January I believe so, thanks to them it has expired and yes, a new one is necessary.... Again , stupiditis they drag their foot, forget to do things lose them....

Thanks anh map for your response earlier as well.

  6. Hi all! So frustrated...... I can slap USCIS!!!! Here is our story. We were scheduled to have my husband's AOS interview 12/17 but the genius' cancelled it. well, even online to date still says that as of 11/22. Anyhow, with no status updates I checked the mail and a darn letter came from freaking IDAHO application support center??!!! how the heck did our papers get to ID and why???!!! ugghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Then, says he needs to submit a copy of his original birth certificate in English (He did this already idiots duh! and what language would it be in he's British!!!!) Also, says he needs to submit medical examination form I-693 and supplemental form I-693 immunizations.... hello... did they not get that when they took that huge packet from him when he entered the country that SHOULD have been filed to USCIS? someone please help me understand so that he can get this done. luckily, he is traveling in England right now so he can hopefully get it done there and it would be MUCH cheaper than over here in the U.S. He is traveling on his adv parole. Then they have the nerve to say has to be submitted within 30 days... smh!

to my reply above, Does that mean he needs to do a medical all over again and resubmit his immunization record? That is So stupid when clearly they are the ones that have the huge envelope with everything in it.
