Does the Advanced parole document automatically allow multiple re-enties?
Yes if you request that when applying for AP.
-
Do you think they will send EAD with AP even though only a touch on EAD?
Did anyone else have this happen - ie approval on one and only touch on the other, and then receive both in the mail?
Help! I am desperate for EAD!
I had it happen earlier this week, but the opposite way round. I received emails regarding my EAD approval last week & then on Monday received my EAD & AP in the mail. I didn't even open the AP envelope for a while as I thought it was an approval notice for EAD
Good luck! But be prepared for both outcomes...
Hope your EAD is approved and arrives soon!

I went to St. Thomas (USVI) for my honeymoon in December & didn't have any problems.
I flew direct from Philadelphia. Immigration & customs is in the St. Thomas airport so everything was done there & so when we landed at Philly it was like landing on a domestic flight.
-
I also received my AP today. I didn't realize it has been approved as they hadn't updated my AP profile.
Probably won't even use it as I don't plan to go back home until November, by which time I'll hopefully have my GC.
Also got my EAD today, but I was expecting that after receiving the card production email last week.
Applied for AOS, EAD & AP towards the end of December, so it's taken a little under 90 days.

Hey everyone. Congrats to those that were recently approved!
I got my EAD approved last night, so hopefully it will arrive within a week or 2. Yay!!
So if you could update my info on the 'waiting approval list'.
Oh & btw it's peterg222
Thanks

wow, september, that is definitely a long wait.... does that mean you did not even get your ap?
I arrived in September but our wedding wasn't until November 26th & it took us a month after that to file for AOS, so the waiting didn't really begin until the end of December (see my signature).
Obviously if you get married as soon as possible once arriving & file quickly, then you should be able to work about 3-4 months after arriving.
Hopefully my EAD will be on it's way soon!Looks like I was right. Card production ordered last night, so I can start working soon. Yay!
So it took 83 days from filing.
AP next...

After a few days of touches, I got the card production emails last night. Woooo!
I filed at the end of December, so it took around 80 days.
-
For how long do you all plan for your husband /wife not to be able to work?
I would plan for a minimum of 90 days, as that's the sort of time the EAD is likely to take, but it could be longer.
But it also depends on how soon you marry & file for AOS. So allow for extra time there.
I haven't worked since arriving in September, so that's nearly 6 months. Hopefully my EAD will be on it's way soon!

I filed at the end of December & was transferred to CSC in February.
No EAD yet, but I have been getting a lot of touches on my AOS recently...hopefully good news soon!
-
Sadly a CSC transfer doesn't necessarily mean you are free from any more RFE's.
I can but hope...
-
It's pretty common to receive requests for tax returns & other supporting documents for the I-864.
Our RFE was for tax returns even though we thought we had sent enough. We sent as much as we possibly could & it seems to be ok as our case has recently been transferred to CSC.
-
Can you also add me...
NOA1 12/29/06
Biometrics 01/17/07
Transfer to CSC 02/09/07
Thanks

I heard from them after a few weeks, but only because they sent my P45 back to my parent's address & then sent me a letter saying they needed it to enable them to make any repayment which may be due.
I don't know what went wrong, but my Mum forwarded my P45 to them & I pretty much forgot about it.
However, last week I received my 8GBP tax refund. WOOO! Only took 4 months total...
-
Congrats!!
I hope my AOS is processed as fast as that!

We went to St. Thomas & St. John, US Virgin Islands in December. It was a great trip, the weather was good & only 4 hours from Philly.
-
Glad to hear it went well.
I had my Biometrics appointment in Philly yesterday & had a similar experience. It didn't take long & was relatively efficient.
I guess it helped that I was one of the first there . I had an 8am appointment, but arrived at 7:35, & waited in the freezing cold until they opened up .

I'm trying to put together my AOS forms & I think I'm nearly there, apart from the vaccination supplement.
I have a DS-3025 Vaccination Documentation Worksheet from Knightsbridge Doctors in London, which was part of my medical back in April 06 for the K-1 Visa.
I realise that some people just send in the DS-3025 as part of AOS, but from what I've read it seems a bit risky, as you might get an RFE.
So I thought I'd play it safe and try to get it transferred over to the I-693A by a certified Civil Surgeon, although I realise that prices vary considerably.
I just called the doctors in Mount Holly, NJ, only to be told it would cost over $300(+ lab costs!), as I needed various shots & lab tests.
I thought what was required for the visa would be very similar to what is required for AOS, & it would be a simple transfer of information from one form to the other, but the lady on the phone didn't seem to think so.
She said I needed a HIV test, 3 Hep B vaccines (which my form says "Not age appropriate" & why 3?), a second MMR (as I've only had one) & Varicella lab test (as I had it as a child & therefore assume I need to be checked if immune).
The only vaccine I was actually up to date on is Td, which I had 9 years ago, but will be needing another within a year anyway.
Can anyone shed some light on this, as I'm rather confused.
Does anyone know what vaccines are required for the I-693A Vaccination Supplement & AOS?
Obviously I'm going to try the other doctors in my area (there are 2 about 10miles away).
TIA

I agree. We did some research on this a couple of months ago before booking.
Katrina and I are going to St. Thomas on Sunday for our honeymoon.
Can't wait!

The link above for this form is for an expired form as of 09-30-06 - does anyone have a link to the current version? Can I use this expired version still? I know sometimes they allow you to use past versions in some circumstances.
I also noticed this & after reading the link posted by TucsonBill, I'm unsure which form to use.
I see there is now a I-864EZ (shorter version of Form I-864 designed for cases that meet certain criteria), but I don't think I meet the criteria as it talks about form I-130.

I flew from Heathrow into Newark as my POE on Saturday 23rd Sept.
It went smoothly with no problems.
Immigration was very quiet, after he checked the contents of my brown envelope, I was taken to a waiting room where they looked over my paperwork again, after about 10 minutes they called my name & I was on my way to baggage collection.
The baggage took ages to come out, around 30-40 minutes. But once I'd collected my 4 bags I went through customs, where I didn't have any problems & they barely acknowledged me. I was expecting more hassle as I'd left the declare stuff part of the form blank.
& that's it, my beautiful fiancee was there waiting for me.
Total time from plane to waiting area was probably a little over an hour.
I hope it goes as smooth for your fiance as it went for me.

My family have booked tickets to come over for my wedding in November.
Continental Airlines, Gatwick to Newark direct, £160 return each, inc all taxes etc. What a bargain!!
& I think their sale may still be on.
I found it through Airline Network, but they charged £170, £10 more than Continental.
