  1. I am also still waiting for the interview on the 22nd of January I will be at 5 months :/ i had my E A D approved and received back in Nov. Anybody has timelines update? My priority date is August 22

Sorry it is taking so long, the day I went for interview the office was very full for interviews and we ran more than an hour behind schedule, I guess the Kendall office is very busy, I was surprised we got an interview so quickly, with the backlog there! our first interview date was cancelled and then they gave us back the same day different time slot, guess we lucked out. Good luck guys, hope it is over soon!! I know how frustrating the wait is.

  2. YAY! Congrats! that didn't seem too painful. ;)

EAD is finally in hand! Johan went to the post office early this morning to pick it up (we'd requested our mail be held yesterday, and since we live in a relatively small town, it was doable), then headed off to work to fill out his W4 form and other documents. I'm so happy for him! And relieved for our family. He was getting worried!!! One thing to note: I know that pretty much everyone says to WAIT to work until you have that card in hand, but his valid date is the day they approved it. So there's that, for what it's worth. :)

    Finally yay :dancing:

  3. Yesterday I got a mail with my interview scheduled. And today I got an email saying that the interview was cancelled.

    WHY DO THEY DO THIS????

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGG!

    :ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Sorry! Same thing happened to me but new date came quickly and ended up being a time change rather than a day change Don't stress too much just start gathering your stuff...and honestly time didnt make a difference I did not get in until well after 12 for and 11am appointment. Good luck and all the best with the interview!!

  4. Hi Guys....I'm a bit confused.

The I-485 status today went form "Acceptance" to "Tesing & Interview".....meanwhile the EAD status has not been touched since Aug 28 to "initial Review"......We're with the Nebraska office.

I thought the EAD status is supposed to change first and recieve the card first. Has anybody sene this happen this way?

Mine was in Nebraska too and it went exactly like that! I recieved my EAD about 10 days before my interview..didn,t even get a chance to use it

  5. Update!! Had my interview today at New Orleans Office at 10:20. Showed up at the place where the interview was scheduled in Metairie( 2424 Edenborn Ave) 10 mins early just to go up to third floor and see that the offices have been moved to Poydras Ave deep in New Orleans. My wife and I jumped in the truck and "rushed" to the new office. Close to the Superdome oh what a joy traffic was. We made it 10 mins after the official time and checked in. We placed appointment letter at window the guard instructed us to. The IO came out shortly (idk how she knew) however she called my name after 2 mins in waiting room. We went in and were sworn in immediately. Here are interview details:

She double checked my answers on my I-485 application. Asking me full name, DOB, address basically everything on the 485 sheet.

She then if that was my signature on the 485. She did that same thing for the 130 for my wife.

She then asked if we had any more documentation showing more commingling however we did not. We had no bills no lease agreement nor insurance policies. We did provide a photo book of us throughout the years.

She asked a few non personal questions: how did we meet? Where did we meet? When did we decide to get married? Who proposed? She then started talking about me being approved for my green card throughout the conversation. She Said my card will be received in 30 days. Told us about the conditional timeline of the green card and when to file update.

We were out in less than 10 mins total from swearing in to leaving out the door. On the way back to our car I received update through email saying case was updated. I am soooooo happy. Waiting on tracking number now and glad this is over in less than 3 months.

    Congrats!!

  6. Congrats Herewego-go!! That's a great experience!! Good luck to all those with pending interviews. :) And congrats to all the recent EAD acceptances. Ours is still in "initial review," 92 days Post-NOA1. Johan is meeting with potential employer tomorrow to discuss this problem. TWO inquiries with the USCIS via phone, 2 calls, and 4 emails to our local congresswoman, who I did NOT vote for on Tuesday ( :protest: ), and still nothing. He's wondering if some terrorist shares his name.

On a positive note: we're off to San Diego for the long weekend, so I'll gladly put this nightmare in the back of my mind for the time being.

Wow, I can't imagine how frustrated you hubby must be, I wish I knew USCIS approach to processing applications it is just hap hazard and unpredictable!! I do wish you guys get processed before Christmas.

  7. Just thought about this and thought I would throw it out there... Some field offices accept digital media, our did not.. I had included a sheet with out facebook urls..The nice lady said I saw this but I can't look we dont use facebook here, do you have any other pics (remember she had overlooked our pics included as they were stapled) I had just the night before on a hunch printed out in basic black and white about 10 pics from FB icluding date stamp and comments from family and friends. I then highlighted comments from family members to us and dates and if it was a specific event like a birthday 3 years ago I wrote that in in pen. Ironically she found a pic of a giant homemade cupcake most intriguiing, I made it for my luvbugs bday back in 2010 because we had just moved to another county and was low on funds, her brothers and sis-in-law commented on it :) She took all those pics and included them with out file. So facebook can be your friend even if your office does not accept online evidence. Just a thought for those with upcoming interviews, better to be over prepared, than kicking yourself in the nether regions lol
