is it because your consulate is busy? many didn't get interview scheduled and their cases were complete in july....ugh... i hate this once again!!!!

so excited that i got cc, now im depressed again

not many chinese on the excel. Saylin's wiki said GUZ now opens the case within 7 days after cc and will schedule within 7 days.. ugh... now i doubted.

but good luck still..

Scheduling for October will be starting at the end of next week.. Once you get your's scheduled, and the embassy has received your files, contact them to see if you can get an earlier interview date.

When did you get your interview date? lol I wanna call but then I don't cause I'm afraid I will be disappointed.

I called many times before my case complete, all they told me was 'please wait 30 business days, then 60 days, blah blah blah..." lol :bonk:

I think my husband should get into September interview cause when I check the GUZ embassy website, they still have some august open....but I'm just guesstimating... haha :whistle:

sigh... I will give them till Friday, I will call.... can't wait till this process is over...

Ours was scheduled two days after interview but then we got an earlier date when the embassy received our case and we requested it.

Well they won't tell you 30 business days like before when you call!

So today was the day.

Got to the consulate this morning at 07:10, first received a number and then security. After that I proceed to another building with a big room with several counters.

First I had to go to a reception were the provide a sheet of the different stations and told me to go to the first counter (22) they collected my passport there and asked for the print out of the ustraveldoc side with the registered address for the IV package.

Then they told me to wait to be called for the next counter (either 21 or 20).

After a short time they called my number and took my fingerprints and went thru the details (needed to change our US address since we just moved last week). Then they handed over some information about SSN, the condition green card and the domestic violence brochure.

After that I waited for the interview with the vice consul.

Which called me shortly after. He took my oath and another scan of my fingers and then started the interview.

-Where did you meet your spouse?

-Where was he working then?

-Does his family live there?

-Where will we live now?

-Then specific questions to a picture we provide:

Where was it taken and why did you wear helmets?

Then he handed me over the originals and said that everything is fine and he approves the visa.

I asked how long it will take to get it back since I am flying on Monday and he said that the visa will be issued either today or tomorrow morning and then goes straight into the mail.

I should have it on hand either Thursday or Friday will see.

Visa was issued then later today as he said.

After three attempts to ask for my interview date to be brought forward I finally received an email today saying its been rescheduled and brought forward two weeks!!

New appointment date: September 9th.

Hi everyone my hubby just had his medical today. I'm sure he will write about it when we get out of London! Everything went well. Nothing to stress about . Funny thing- I got a phone call from the NVC for my supervisor call back from a month ago. She asked how his interview went. I laughed and said our interview wasn't for another two weeks! Then she asked if we had any questions... Nope. Then apologised for the delay in the phone call. Um yeah, massive delay lol. I asked if there was an issue with our case and she said it was fine. Ok peeps . silly NVC. Anyways I will catch up with VJ later tonight . Eating now as we haven't eaten all day! Good luck everyone!

I've obtained tax transcripts online while abroad.

Sometimes it's due to the address having to be put in a certain way, and others who are abroad had issues obtaining them due to the foreign address.

It says June 24 2013. Everyone's interview letter subject has the same thing; it's probably the date that email form was first created. Definitely not related to your case though

It's time travel back to the past.

Ok here it goes, I got an email to fill DS-261 thrice and I called NVC to know whats going on??? The rep I talked to was very very rude since the starting. He told me, he can't see my form in their system, AND I NEED TO RESUBMIT IT and I was almost into tears. Its been 30 days already.!! If I resubmit now, It would reset the clock. I just feel so low. Couple of days back a rep told me, I don't need to resubmit it because it shows completed on website and also I have the confirmation number with me. So I called NVC again, hoping for a nicer NVC rep. She told me, don't resubmit it. You need to wait couple of weeks more. It is not showing into our system because it hasn't been reviewed yet. I don't want to share all this with my hubby because he already thinks I am agonizing over this whole process. These reps are giving contradicting statements. I don't know whom to believe. If after 30 business days or whatever 60 days, it doesn't show up into their system, Can I call for a supervisor review? I don't want to resubmit it after waiting for 60 days and waiting again for another 60 days.I don't know what to do...!! I am so fed up now

You can call back and speak to a supervisor if it will make you feel better. The agents on the phones really don't know what goes on. They make things up on the top of their head (my experience with them). My hubby could call them and they tell him one thing, then I call 30 mins later and they tell me something totally different.. XD

help! today i received a checklist

however in the ds-260 shows as complete.. is this a false checklist?

She said it was scheduled yesterday which is strange because I rang at like 9.30pm and was told that it hadn't been scheduled. Thank god for cheap wifi in our hotel - I couldn't just wait for the email to come through!

He's not self-employed is he?, or has filed a 1099 due to an interests/dividends.. etc? Not everyone who files taxes has a 1099 . It's only if your tax return had a 1099 with it, must you provide it with the return you send to NVC. [/quote

haha, we're the same way!! I was so OCD about these documents, and my hubs said that despite all the secondary evidence he took with him to the interview (that I suggested), none of it was needed as our case was already so pack full of stuff I had originally submitted. He said the consulate officer interviewing him was flipping through the pictures I sent and took one out and smiled and showed it to him saying she liked it. I was very proud of him getting everything organized on his end too! I think this process makes all of us stronger as couples since we had to work as a team!

Haha def! It's always good just to be prepared just in case! You learn this very quickly going through USCIS and NVC.. Thankfully the interview is the scariest, but you make it through . That's so cute about the pictures. . London tends be usually quite nice. Never really see any issues with them. I'm so happy y'all finally get to be back together.. Woohoo! . Just two more weeks until your hubby's POE date!

Thank you for the reply. He said he submitted 1040a and he is not sure if there was an attached 1099 on 1040a. He relies a lot on his accountant thats why he is not that familiar with this forms. If 1099 is not applicable to us do you think we will still be gettting a checklist?

Kind of wish I'd been there with mine as well, but he did great! We just went through the list of items for him to bring on interview day about 30 times during our Skype calls, haha. I'm sure you guys will do great too!! London's a piece of cake

I'm quite calm about it, beyond excited that it's FINALLY happening!! LOL! I was teasing my hubby because he tends to forget things . I'm the "over organized/prepared" one.

Just called NVC and YES the interview is scheduled for September 17th at 10:30AM. She told that email has not gone out yet.

No, we did not have an expedite. I can only guess that they just processed all of our documents based on a scan date for items sent a few days before my last packet was sent.

We got CC on the 28th, and got an interview scheduled two days after.. I saw a few people who got CC and quickly after got an interview scheduled.. *Fingers crossed* there's one for you .
