How do you communicate?

Does your husband support you financially, does he send you money?

That was it, visa got approved, but we had all the evidence in a huge binder,

Pictures of our engagement/wedding/honeymoon, chat logs, remittance receipts etc ...

We have been approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And its my son's 1st birthday, same day visa approved :-)

MY WIFE HAD INTERVIEW SCHEDULED THIS MORNING AT THE EMBASSY IN NAIROBI, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THEY TOLD HER THEY ARE UNABLE TO "OPEN HER FILE" THEY MADE HER WAIT FOR 5HRS AND FINALLY RESCHEDULED HER FOR MON FEB 10TH...

HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS ISSUE OF EMBASSY UNABLE TO "OPEN FILE"

Congrats kolewenoik31, wait is almost over, we got out interview coming next week, i cant wait to get done with all this process. Light is finally visible at the end of this very long tunnel. I spoke with NVC rep who said the Interview is set for FEB 5TH @6:30am, do you know if they set interview that early in the morning? I know most offices in Nairobi are not open before 8:30am, so im sort of confused, i guess we will wait for the P4 email to see what it says......

I have another question, My son was born in Kenya, He is US Citizen and he has his US Passport and Born Abroad Birth Certificate. His vaccine shot records is upto date, is there anything else needed for him?

Does anyone know how long it takes for NVC to transfer your case to the Embassy or How long before Interview dates are assigned? One Month/Two months?

1.Your physician will suggest you for vaccine at medical - nothing to worry about it

2.you need to bring the copies of it .Also you need to bring Evidence of Bona fides of Marriage

3.no need if you have already submitted your IRS transcript and recent W2's to NVC - otherwise "yes" you must bring it.

Hello Fellow Interviewees!!! I have several question i need cleared for those with experience in the matter... I GOT CASE COMPLETE DEC 10TH.

1. If your spouse does NOT have vaccine shot records, what is the minimum shots required for Kenya?

2. We mailed in ORIGINAL Birth/Marriage certficate/ police report/ AOS......

What else do i need to bring for the interview?

3. Since my AOS was approved, do I need to bring (w2/1099 or any other IRS related doc to the interview?

Did you just call or did you get the NA first?

No, mine did not change to N/A , i just called them up to check and was told CC!!!

Scan date: Oct. 20th for both packages, TheBigO's calculations were: anywhere between Nov. 30-Dec. 12, probably closer to the higher end. Good luck everyone! Congrats and happy for all the CCs!!!

My AOS CHECKLIST is OCT 20TH as well, i hope BIG O calculation turn out right for all of us, I HOPE NO MORE CHECKLIST!!!!

Sorry everyone I am trying to update our status in the various forums and I forgot this one. Yes we are the one that just got CC today. AOS Sept. 23 IV Oct. 23. I checked our status this morning and it still showed paid. Then tonight I just wanted to check again and it showed N/A. So I called NVC and they said they just finished our review and Case Completed today....Hand in there everyone its coming. PTL maybe I will see my hubby soon maybe even in time for the snow.

SILLY MISTAKES WILL COST YOU 60 MORE PAINFUL DAYS AT NVC

TAKE HEED AND DOUBLE , TRIPLE CHECK YOUR DOC BEFORE SENDING THEM TO NVC!!!

HI ALL, Does ANYONE know how long it takes NVC to require checklisted AOS? i have seen some people waiting nearly 3+months for NVC to review their documents. Other people are saying it takes 30-60days!! so was hoping to get feedback from those waiting on checklisted documents review so i could gauge the durations...

UGRRR got checklisted on AOS PART 5, Q2/Q8 and PART6, Q13A

VERY OBVIOUS AND STUPID ERRORS that will cost me 60+days in NVC

Anyone with AUG 1-10 AOS scanned dates got response from NVC yet?? im curious since my scan date is Aug 1st....
