  1. Aloha to all,

Our question has to do with the information that will be sent to Jenny after we recieve our NOA2.

    1. Copy of packet (she already has).

    2. Second "Letter of Intent to Marry".

    3. I-134 and associated financial documents.

    4. Copy of NOA2.

    5. Proof of on-going relationship since NOA1.

The question relates to items 2-5. Do these items have to be physically sent or can they be prepared

and made available to her electronically (via Dropbox)?

Mahalo and good luck to all,

    Jenny and Bill

For us, 99% of the documents (beneficiary side) were shared via Dropbox and printed out. Most of the documents you listed, your US embassy already have them (in the I129f package you sent for the petition). So you can see why we did it via Dropbox. And my visa interview is successful without a hitch ;). You can still ship the originals to your beneficiary of course, I'm sharing how it was for us :D

  2. So we applied for K1 fiancee visa, submitted all relevant documents for the petition two months back. Last week we received letter that petition have been approved and will be forwarded to the NVC. My dilemma is: when should I be applying for my Malaysian Police clearance certificate? (since it is required for the visa interview). Do the certificate have a validity period? From what I have gathered, it took about 2 months for the certificate to be processed. What I'm afraid is that my certificate would expire before the visa interview (I have no idea at all when they would schedule for it either!).

    Little advice, please?

  3. Hello, newbie here. So we're gathering all the required documents for the K-1 visa. We're trying to get some affidavits from friends as well even though it's optional. Better be safe than sorry, right? It seems the affidavits need to be notarized, and since I'm getting some friends (in Malaysia) to write for us, so I went to a commissioner of oaths, but he advised me that I probably should get the affidavits to a public notary instead of a commissioner of oaths, since the documents are to be submitted to US government.

So...question: is it true that I have to go to a notary public instead? I can't wrap my head around it lol, since I don't have much knowledge in these legal stuff. Any help would be much appreciated! And any tips & tricks for our visa process would be good too!
