  1. Hey sweet heart yes but had to send a new AOS and my parents marriage certificate so new scan date is Oct 22 :( . Thank you so much for the information still it looks like NVC is getting faster thank God. :D t5063.gif

Yes! I heard they changed the rules about originals. It's so unfair after they gave people such a hard time :ranting: hopefully now they speed up super duper fast!

  2. I believe Soloenta sent her checklist document on Oct 10th so her scan date is probably around Oct 15th. :star::star::star:

I'm still waiting for the visa! It's been 3 business days (6 calender days) since I got approved at the interview. :dead::dead::dead:

Some Canadians reported that they got their visa in 1-2 days. :wow::wow::wow:

I should have known that I haven't been that lucky in the immigration process.:oops::oops:

I thought the nightmare was over when I got approved at the interview. :bonk::bonk::bonk:

I really hope to get it this week since we're currently staying in Ramada Inn with our moving boxes!:rofl::rofl:

:wow: have you gotten it yet?

  3. HELP REQUIRED

I have an interview on 23 dec at ISLAMABAD. I am trying to schedule my medical appointment online for tomorrow but it gives me an error that the appointment date should not be more than three weeks earlier than the interview date..........has anyone completed their medical more than three week earlier than their interview date...thanks in advance

It's better for you two wait until three weeks prior to the interview or else they will delay giving you the results back. My husband took his medical exactly three weeks before the interview and they didn't give him the medical reports until a week before the interview. It's better to wait.

  4. I got a checklist. I was wondering if I could send the necessary document to a friend in the USA and he to print them out and mail them to the NVC. Because if my husband and I sent them it would take two weeks for them to receive it. Is it ok to do it?

Second question, is it ok to print out our papers front and back or do they need to be single printed?

Depends on what you're sending. If the checklist is for an original certificate then that cannot be printed and mailed out; you'd need to send the actual document. If it's related to AOS form, then the signature on that needs to be an original one, so it cannot be printed. If it's AOS related documents such as tax transcripts, pay stubs or employer verification letter then that stuff can be printed; single paged.

Wrong thread my friend, I don't think Dwheels comes here. :(

Praying there is good news for Samreen, it's about time we get a lot of good news to last us the long holiday. t4582.gif

Yeah but are we chopped liver? crossed-arms-smiley-emoticon.gif

Awww ofcourse not sweety! Maybe his phone ran out of battery with all the phone calls and text messages he probably made

I can so imagine him calling everyone and screaming on the top of his lungs :rofl::rofl:

  6. Just called NVC. We have an interview date of 23rd December.

Now, I wonder how long it will take them to issue the Visa and get it to us. Mmmmmm. Am super excited. Once they get my file I might email and see if I can bring it forward although I am sure they won't. Still, worth a try.

    Guess they are still scheduling.

dwheels, can you add me to the spreadsheet please?

Congratulations!!! Which means samreen must have gotten her interview date too!

Austin is busy celebrating his approval. I just congratulated him on Facebook.

He was super excited for it so no wonder he's still very busy celebrating it.:rofl:

  7. I know this likely gets asked a lot and the wiki says you can start calling a week after USCIS ships your case to find out if they've received it, but I am wondering if it's actually worth calling yet? My case was shipped on October 31st (NOA2 on the 26th of October) and I'm wondering if, with CURRENT wait times being what they seem to be, anyone has actually gotten an answer a week later that NVC has received their case or if I'm better off waiting another week. I WANT to call them all the time, but I don't want to get too weirdly obsessive.

They're different with each case, some cases had their numbers assigned the day they got to NVC and some had to wait a week or two. I would suggest to call every other day, or every 2 days. :)

  8. hello, this is my first time posting and i have a question about a checklist we received on our IV docs. the checklist stated that my birth certificate was not from the right government dep. (although it is). my husband called and the rep told him they want a certificate from a "sharaeih" court. this court DOES NOT issue birth certificates. when my husband told her so she said if we keep sending the same certificate they will keep rejecting it :ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting::ranting:

i went to that court and asked if they could validate my birth cert. with our marriage contract (on the checklist as well) but they said they don't notarize documents issued by other departments and the only thing i need is the official stamp from the ministry of exterior affairs which i got along with the official stamp of the department of justice (i got that just in case) my question: do i need to go to the US embassy and ask them to - i dont know add their stamps to the collection of stamps i got-?? has anyone done this? i called the embassy and whatever 3rd party call center they have told me they dont know!! I emailed the embassy and should get a reply in 2 days. my friend didnt send her IVs to the embassy before submitting them and she received her CC 10 days ago.. i just hate to get a 2nd checklist  any ideas?

I'm sorry you had to go through this, I honestly don't know :( I hope whatever you got is enough.

  9. One you get your medical done in Pakistan, do they give you two packets of your medical or only one? Someone told me they got two packets, one for the interview and the other for Poe. Hubby only got one when he got his medical done. Is that a bad thing? :bonk:

  10. Greetings from Boulder, CO my dear friends,

A very hectic daily schedule have kept me away from my VJ friends, but I'm hoping it won't be so anymore. Have been so busy the last couple of weeks that by around 7:30 p.m., I would fall asleep on the couch within 5 minutes of grabbing the TV remote from my kids. No wonder they don't fight me over it anymore.

I only managed to go through a few past pages only to learn of a CC no show for a friend, a missed December schedule for another and an AP for a third. I hope the good news I've missed far outweigh the bad.

Welcome back!!! Guess the time zone difference has you falling asleep so early  even If not, jet lag can be next in this blame game ;)

Hope the wife and kids are adjusting with ease, as well as yourself!

  11. Hey everybody, today was my interview at the Mumbai Consulate, India and extremely pleased to say that I have been APPROVED!!! Whole interview process was over in one hour. I will post a detailed experience later. It was a tough interview because we had lots of red flags, which meant lots of questions.

Congratulations dilmera!! The long awaited journey has finally ended! I'm very happy for you, wishing you a smooth POE!

When are they usually done shipping files to embassy after interviews are scheduled? I see that so far they have shipped files to only few countries.

Online status still shows "At NVC"

They shipped my file about 8-9 days after the interview was scheduled; some countries had it shipped a couple of days after and some even 2-3 weeks after. It varies for each country btw. Don't worry, it'll get there before your interview ;)

  12. Sorry Soloenta....just trying to keep a sense of humor in this crazy making process.I created my own acronym...for my checklist...CCWC...sounded good since that is exactly what is happening .

Not a happy camper today as my mom is back in the hospital...the docs cant do any more for her and she has another blockage in her heart . They cant fix it because she wouldnt survive the operation. Her heart is is giving out and her pacemaker is kicking her several times a day because her heart stops. NVC refused my expedite in September...and I am not able to travel alone to be with my mom ... :crying: I am so done but trying to keep the faith. It is a cruel twist of reality to have a checklist when things are so desperate...what a joke.

This just breaks my heart  I am so sorry for everything NVC is putting you through, this process is so not fair but there's very little that can be done about it. Soloenta is right, please try to contact your local senators; as well as any other government official you know of. Keeping you and your family in my prayers. (F)

  13. I am all set for the interview except for my joint sponsor she is only willing to give me a copy of her 2013 taxes not the originals I'm fine with that but I don't know if it is ok at the consulate and a copy of her birth certificate as well she can't provide the pay stubs is this ok as well ?

    my packet is my I864

pay stubs ( I have only worked one month)

    copy of my birth certificate

    her I864

    copy of 2013 taxes

    copy of her birth certificate

    Is this enough???

I would say to also include a copy of the w-2. Also, Proof of her citizenship (if she wasn't a born USC) like her passport copy or naturalization certificate copy. If she's married then you need to make sure her husband also files the form.

  14. hi,

i posted this couple days ago but i didn't get an answer, so i try to ask here, maybe someone can help me cuz this is REALLY stressing me out...even more than the uscis process :(

My hubby filed I-130 for me and my daughter, USCIS assigned two case numbers. My case was approved couple days ago but i still didn't hear anything about my daughters case, send a e-request and got this for an answer " Thank you for your inquiry. Your case is currently being adjudicated. "

Now i'm confused, does it mean my case is shipped to nvc but my daughter is still at USCIS? How does it work? Maybe someone can help me out here, i'm so stressed out :(

    PLEASE HELP ME

I would suggest to give USCIS a call, only they can give you a better explanation.

Does anyone else find the guy who says "all of our representatives are busy with other callers...." Who always interrupts the other hold people really rude and annoying? He's louder than the others, and always seems to cut in while someone else is giving their speech. Seriously, they can't even manage to have a courteous hold message. I wish they just had music, every time I hear that they "know my time is valuable" I want to throw my phone. The first time I heard that, I laughed.

Yep, I had to keep adjusting the volume each time at work. but for me it was the lady, maybe they changed it up :bonk:

Does anyone know how long does it take to review the NVC documents? I know the nvc are swamped (at least thats what they said) but its ridiculous that they cant even give me any info about my petition other than I have to wait for 60 days. Today is my 55th out of 60 days since scanned date and the operator told me to call them back next month! So mad right now!!

The reps just say this! Some are just so tired of their jobs, they don't wanna talk to people so just give out absurd advice :bonk:

Just call back and a nicer rep will give you an answer. I did that a few times myself

Soloenta and everybody. I m shaking with excitement and shivering. My AOS has changed to n/a!!!!! I was crying and shaking when I called my husband. We just confirmed it with Nvc. I called them and the girl Carla I think was so sweet. I almost started crying and she said we r still scheduling for dec and I have my fingers and toes crossed for u that u get a dec interview.
