I never done a K1, I did a CR-1 for my ex wife 11 years ago, the process for a K1 is easier than marrying in Morocco and doing a CR-1 but if it comes to that then that's what it is. If things do move forward

It will be up to the CO to review your evidence and question the new fiancee about her about the relationship and how much she knows you

the CO will look at how long u have known each other,  how  much time u have spent together,  your ages,  income and any red flags that come up  

and marriages do fail but if she's here and divorced ,  Morocco does not matter as u don't intend to marry there 

BUT again, u could not consumate after a zoom marriage as her family would consider u married to 1st wife

We will not be doing a zoom marriage, I was planning to go to Morocco at the end of February to meet her and the family and we have been talking now for a few months

IS your former spouse still in Moroc?  If so,read the following

 

u can register by going thru the Moroccan laws for divorce in Morocco giving the Moroccan freedom to go with their life

And don't know who told u divorce was a pain in Moroc / it's rather easy and quickly/ people file papers , go before the judge (within a week) and are divorced .  

Its not fair for u to be divorced and the Moroccan  to be in limbo as still married

If former spouse is in the US, u could  still responsible for the I 864 

 

would US embassy approve a new K1 for another Moroccan?  u do know K1 in Casa is already hard 

 

And if u do not want to return to Moroc to file divorce there,  how will u meet after a Utah zoom to consumate the marriage understanding the culture and the Moroccan family will consider u still married to the other person?

My former spouse lives in America now and she doesn't plan to move back to Morocco, everything I am asking about has come up because I may marry someone else that is in Morocco now and I was just looking for clarity and as it is still early I will figure things out as they go along as I normally like to plan things before hand just to be ready(I plan my days by the hour so that should say a lot of how I go about plans lol)

the I-864 ended when she become a US Citizen so I am not worried about that.

2 of my friends have told me the process for divorce in Morocco is a pain, as one of them did go through it. I will see how things play out but I was hoping to just do a k1 visa and avoid anything with the Moroccan government.. getting married there was one of the worst experiences in my life and don't want to do it again but will if it ends up coming to that.

I am not from Morocco only my ex-wife is and she now lives in the states and I did not know the current person before as I got married 11 years ago in Morocco and remained married for almost 10 years

Long story short I married in Morocco and got a divorce in America. I was introduced to someone for the possibility of marriage, I was wondering if there would be a problem if I file I-129F and get married in America since people told me that I am still considered married in Morocco. I don't really plan to go and file for divorce in a country I don't live in or will ever live in and I heard that the process is such a pain to do, I can only imagine since the process for getting married there as an American was just the worst dealing with the Moroccan government..

The I-129f instructions only states "If either you or your beneficiary were married before, submit evidence that all previous marriages were legally terminated. Evidence of termination of previous marriages may include a divorce decree, annulment, or death certificate issued by a civil authority." which my decree was issued by a civil authority where I reside.

I received en e-mail from NVC with a checklist stating that I must submit the following financial evidence:

[x] Proof of current employment (examples: a recently dated job letter, pay stub, or a copy of your business license).

When I looked over the copies I made of what I sent them turns out that was included.

I work as a freelance tailor, but at the moment i'm currently only working for a small company with many stores in my city. He pays me as an independent contractor 1099, as I don't have a set hourly/salary pay, or a set schedule If my service is needed I am contacted. The work, I do it from home, sometimes at his store if it's minimal work and has the required machines. On my I-864 the lady who I went with to get it filled out put on my application that I was employed. The letter of employment that I sent with the packet stated that I worked for him as an independent contractor. Could this have been what caused the NVC to ask for "Proof of current employment"? I called the NVC and the guy said that he can't see the paperwork, I told him how I work and he said to make my own Letter and to get an updated letter from the company.

Should I do exactly as he said? or should I take another route? I really don't want to wait another 60 days to hear back because I didn't send the proper paperwork.

Has anyone been in the same situation or can someone give me some advice?
