Howdy!
Here is the situation:
- Wife obtained B1/B2 visa - clearly stated at the interview that she's married to a US citizen.
- Visited me in the US in February as a tourist for 10 days
- Got an offer for summer research in the States
- Asked to apply for J visa to be able to work on research
- Obtained J visa - once again, clearly stated her marriage to a US citizen at the embassy.
- Planning to enter together and stay there for 2 months
We don't yet plan to immigrate to the States, as she's working and half-way through her Ph.D in Egypt.
My question: Should we enter together, or separately? I'm inclined to stand with her in the visitors' line (to ensure fingerprinting), but is there a risk in doing so? Anyone here done that before?
I've briefly searched the forum and read about this case, but I'm yet to hear back from someone who actually went through it and provided feedback.
Please share your $0.02
Interesting scene. I don't know the answer. But I do know at airport they say "families stay together" and she is your wife so family stays together.

My kids and I are all US citizens, we're moving back to the US And although we do 'have money' while my dh is still working, it's only enough to live on and not enough to cover medical emergencies! It would only be till dh came over and one of us got a job and health insurance, which we'd of course want asap! Mainly I'm thinking of it for the kids.
Good news. States are barred from placing length of residency requirements for Medicaid.

Hey gusy, why don't we make this a petition at the white house website and ask more people to sign it! And if it exceeds certain number of signatures the gov has to address this issue!!!
They have to respond to your petition. They don't have to address the issue. Two very different things.

Does ages matter a lot like 16 years ? The woman older than the male , what if at the interview the person that's is interviewing you ask you , what do you think of the age diffrent , what will you say ?
When they ask you that question they already know what words you're going to use. What they're really looking for is your facial expressions and body language while you answer it. You have to look like you mean it.

My kids (ages 7 and 4) and I are moving over from the UK while dh sells the flat and waits for his DCF to go through and get his Green Card. Can we get Medicaid? Or CHP for the kids? Dh will still be working and we have joint accounts, so since I have money, although in another country, can I not get Medicaid?
Read this, it's interesting look but kind of inconclusive.

Except our air and water. Other then that. She regularily complains that she wants a divorce and wants to go back to China. I'm about to oblige her.... She is not adjusting well. And from reading on here. Our life is pretty decent. She really doesn't have to do anything , Anything she wants I get her. Were holding our own, the neighborhoods nice, quiet, works ok. sex, ok. we just got her combo travel, work card. Even have a Chinatown here. I like her cooking. I love her , really. She don't like anything.
All comments are welcome.
Sounds like my first wife. Let her go.
