  1. If he has a tax return and W2 you best have them, both are listed in the embassy instructions letter. Not having them will result in a 221g... requiring him to produce his most recent tax return and W2 or show valid cause not to.... being afraid doesn't cut it.

Psst!! Tell your fiance... the U.S. government already has his vital information. ;) And the embassy already has his SSN.

Thank you so much for mking it clear. :) i will explain this to him.

  2. Please read the instructions for your consulate. Manila has them online and they state everything required for the interview, including the financials >

    k. EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form with original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioners ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioners most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134.

Thank you so much for making it clear :)

  3. The process has not changed, it's the same. You will see reading these forums that people are getting a 221g for not submitting a recent tax transcript or recent 1040 + w2. You must provide these along with paystubs/letter from employer/bank letter.

That attachment does say submit duplicates of evidence, one letter from his employer is not enough.

Thanks much for the help. I will explain this to him.

  4. No, that's not okay. As per the supporting evidence requirements for Affidavit of support I-134, your petitioner MUST provide either 2013 tax transcript, or 1040 + w2. On the day of your interview you will not be approved until you provide these.

You do not need originals mailed for these, they can be scanned and emailed to you then printed out as photocopies.

Hello my petitioner said that the process has now changed. And sent me this
