  3. I double checked my other immigration documents . I didn't do my FPs at the JFK . I had my biometrics done at ASC 170 Portland street this time and a few years ago when ROC. But I had my GC interviews at JFK building .

My mistake I meant to write 170 Portland st not "170 Atlantic ave".

From reading other forums in other websites most people who live near boston & were sent to do their FP's at 170 Portland st had their interviews at Lawrence field office.I' m not saying its a 100% rule, but something I noticed.

  4. Boston filers, bstngrl quicksand ect..

my priority date may 23rd been on line since July 18, most people who filed early this year get the interview notes within two month of being in line for interview and I thought I would have my interview notes by now. Lawrence ma may filers already had their interview done and even oath. I don't know why the don't send some of the cases from boston to Lawrence it is only 30-50 miles from boston and I am sure most of us won't mind. At least we can drive there and get free parking.

Bstngrl's field office is Lawrence, her priority date is june 2nd and she has no interview date yet . I think the whole state is in a deep backlog.
  5. Hi , I am from Boston, I have early walk in biometric finger print on July/15/2014 and got inline interview on July/18/2014. have not heard anything from USCIS since .

but I did have 40 days out of the country so am thinking i need to wait up the extra day not in the united state ??? :help:

Boston is right now busy processing files with march priority dates, and as of july 31 the average processing time for boston is 7.2 months. According to an IO i talked to over the phone past monday.

have u been in line for 2 months without receiving a yellow letter? The yellow letter is usually an indication of a near interview notice.

  6. Today I received the notice says : ( upon receipt of all required record checks, you will be schedule to appear for an interview at your local USCIS field office.)

But the problem that I noticed it here in this notice that they wrote my last name wrong, should I contact them to correct it?

    Please any advice.

    Thank you

    Call 1800 375 5283.

To get a hold of a human press 1 then press 1 again then press 2.

First person who answers your call tell him/her you need to speak with a level 2 immigration officer.

They will put you on hold ( the wait is long ) but you can chose to leave your name and case # and they will call you back.

Make sure they send you some kind of a confirmation letter or email that they did correct the mistake.

    Good luck.

  7. We need to expedite our N400 case since I need to move out of US for a job. Right now the case is in-line to be scheduled for the interview. Do you know of any way to make it faster? Would be helpful to call National Benefit Center? If so, how can I find their number?

I think it's almost impossible to expedite a non Military N400 application, unless your application has been pending for longer than average processing time.

    But good luck anyway!

  8. Congrats DanTes! :dancing:

I received my US passport today exactly 2 weeks after applying at the Post Office (paid for expedited service and overnight delivery) So, from my experience, applying for a passport at the Post Office isn't that bad at all. Mine was 2 weeks door to door. My naturalization certificate should also be returned in the next few days via mail.

Congratulations for completing you citizenship journey.

I just hope they don't double fold your certificate of naturalization when sending it back to you as they did to a friend of mine.. He's so mad that he is looking into getting a new one even if its going to cost him around $400 cause the one he has now does not look like something to be proud of showing .

  9. Her, FaZz, thank you for your input. It would be awesome if I could be at this oath ceremony, I would be done very soon as you said. I really appreciate you shared this information, I will try to check with them when I have my interview. Once again, thank you for sharing this. :)

    You're welcome!

I hope u get scheduled for that ceremony in Mechanics Hall in Worcester, that is the earliest ceremony close to you interview date.

Usually Lawrence field office oath ceremonies are held in one of 3 places: 1- Lowell U.S DISTRICT COURT 2-Lowell MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM 3- WORCESTER MECHANICS HALL.

Usually the oath in Worcester is attended by at least 700 new us citizens so there is a good chance you may be one of'em.

    Good luck.

  10. Yayyy! Congrats, alix! :)

    Hey justar...

Something i wanted to share with you since your interview will be in lawrence.I found online that there is one oath ceremony in worcester, Ma on October 9th 2014 from 11 am to 3 pm .... Since your coming interview is on October 1st you could finish your citizenship journey very soon after your interview...

    Just my 2cents ;)

  11. "" Any ideas why would some have yellow letter before being in line for interview ? Will that affect their timeline? ""

A friend of mine forgot to include his tax papers to his file, received a yellow letter even before his fingerprint appointment letter was sent to him ... The yellow letter is usually a reminder of a close interview date or a request for more documents needed by USCIS to process the case....I don't think it s something to be scared of.

  12. I just got the letter with the interview date. It will be on October 1st, 9:30am in Lawrence, MA. Washing a speed processo to everyone still waiting.

Congratulation justar, glad to see aoplications from Massachusetts progressing it seems Lawrence is picking up some speed but Boston is still in hybrenation mode.

Good luck with your interview you still have plenty of time to study the 100 questions. ; )

  13. I still want you to have faith.

At Boston, it says 4,342 apps were received and yet, 4,747 apps were approved - meaning either they are quickly approving incoming apps or approving older apps.

In my local field office which is Tampa, 3,616 apps were received and yet, 2,892 apps were approved - meaning they are regressing...

Best analysis would be to see how other filers from previous months are doing...

Pending apps are pending for a reason - lot of variations and if your case is pretty straightforward you can expect that your case will follow close to the 5 month completion goal that USCIS has set for itself.

There are not too many applicants from boston who share their time line(there r only a handful including me ) here in Vj.com, but in other websites i have seen May & early June 2014 filers from Boston still stuck at "inline for interview scheduling" ...that makes me think the whole process wont take less than 6.5 to 7 months as an average for boston filers knowing that boston is notorious for slow oath ceremonies scheduling too...

I just wish i can get my us passport in hand by end of january 2015..i'll be happy if that happens. I thank you for the optemistic reading of the boston field numbers. your point is wright, more files proccessed than pending.. but the huge numbers thow make me take that fact with a pinch of salt knowing that everey week hundreds of applications are added to the already backloged process.
