  1. Hello, i have a Question we sent our package out Sep.22 arrived and sign by CHYBA need to say we sent it to the Mailroom with UPS

so we still didnt got any NOA, so my husband called today and they told him , when you send it to this address

    USCIS

    Attn: FBAS

    131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor

    Chicago, IL 60603-5517

they dont even look at it before the 30 day mark and after the 30 days they start an investigation

im kinda lost, why is the address on there if they dont even look at it before or why they dont said anything like that on the website we would have it way cheaper with USPS and the PO BOX

    anyone have experience maybe??

I don't really understand what the problem is, are you wondering if you shouldn't have sent it to that address? Because we sent ours to that address via FedEx and did not have any problem. Our notification texts came promptly and our filing date is the day it arrived.

Did you file form G-1145? Have your checks been cashed?

That being said, sometimes the paper NOAs are just a little slow. They have to check the packages for completion before sending out the NOA.

  2. Ok guys, so i had my immigration medical exam done last week (yes I did not send it with the AOS package) and I was wondering if I should send it to USCIS right away or just wait for an RFE?

I am no expert, but I am the kind of nervous person that would wait for the RFE, especially as your goal was to expedite your EAD. I don't have any experience in the matter, I have just been overly cautious the whole time.

  3. OMG why is yours approved so quickly? thats amazing congratulations. did you file an expedite or is NYC just so fast?

We didn't ask to expedite, and actually - does anybody know the answer to this? - Is the I-765 processed at the local office or at one of the larger service centers? Our case in general was sent to the National Benefits Center (MSC number)

I always assumed only the I-485 was processed local but I actually have no idea.

NYC is actually on the slow side, we could be waiting a while for an interview appointment.

  4. We haven't been scheduled for our interview yet, but we are bringing recent and updated bank statements to show further co-mingling of finances, as well as a copy of our will showing each other as the beneficiary, etc. These are things we didn't have when we submitted the package, or things that will need updating - if our interview is in 3 or 4 months, we'll bring the most recent statements. We're also bringing more recent photos and a box of cards we received at our wedding from various family members and friends.

  5. If you're out of birth control, find a planned parenthood and explain your situation, they should be able to help you on a sliding scale. I used them for birth control during the brief period I was uninsured and they were very helpful.

Once you are employed, many employers offer insurance through their company. If not, you should be able to get on your husband's insurance. There's always the option to also buy, but through your employer is easiest.
