Then keep checking the status. Friday or monday could be you lucky day inshaAllah. I sent documents on Thursday and next Friday it was ready for pickup.
-
No, my husbands visa is not issued yet. it still says Administrative Processing. I was only asking because up until now everytime I checked the status of the passport it always said " no status available for the passport number submitted" and now it has changed to "your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate" and "Delievered to Post"
They will send it when website says Issued.
Did you submit the documents already? They usually Issue your visa after you send them the required documents within one week

imtiaz & A ,i received interview letter by email and my wife also receivd the same email. is it neccessary now to call nvc to doube check ??
No need to call NVC, NVC part is done. Now call medical guys and schedule your medical.

So I have a question...
I just checked the status of my husbands passport and on the US travel docs website it says "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate"
But when I email them it says "Delivered To Post"
Does anyone know what this means?
This means your passport is still with embassy. Is your visa issued? If it is what it says? Printed?

Your interview should've already been scheduled, because they schedule it one month before the date is going to be current(even before the Visa Bulletin is out). So according to October VB your date is current. So you should call, maybe they already scheduled it, if they didn't then you will have to wait until 28-29 September and call again to get your IL because they usually start scheduling from 28-29 till 8-9. My wife called them and they told her that date is not current yet, she called next day and they scheduled the interview.

April 2014 or 2015?

according to my research and observation, now a days AP for Pakistanis are not that long, and I've heard that now they try to resolve most of the cases within embassy. So submit your passport and medical as soon as you can, hopefully they will issue visa in a week or two.
-
Medical guys usually give you one(or a few) documents that you should have with you. Nobody asked me about those but someone can ask. It's usually about the vaccination. So you should keep that too.
-
Did you submit DS-261 form? Because it's only taking a week or two these days. I know two people who got their IV invoice withing a week.
-
I had that too, but nobody checked it. Even that yellow card given by Aziz Medical center wasn't checked anywhere. But you should keep it with you, in case they ask. I've heard sometime on Pakistani airport they ask for Polio certificate from Govt. hospitals and if you don't have one, they will charge maybe 2000 to get one from airport

I don't think they are gonna ask much questions. Because it's a straight forward case. Sometimes interview for spouse or fiance visa is a little difficult, but I see no reason to ask weird questions. So be cool. maybe remember the name of company your parents work, address and phone number etc.

mine was 11300 back in December

They asked me to submit joint sponsor, after submitting they issued after a week.

Asalam o Alaikum,
My name is Umar Lateef. I am a silent reader of this group,
I've been reading since start of 2014 because I was going through the visa process and was afraid to stuck in to AP but alhamdulillah passed through but I am not here to show off or to make you feel bad. I am just here to encourage you. This is just a try, if it's not helping, I am sorry.
So I've been reading here almost everyday to see whats happening here. Believe you me I feel a strong attachment with all you guys. Sarfaraz, Ayesha, Sarah, Kaleem and all others. I am here to see if anyone got their visa today. And then I pray for you guys that Allah make it easier for all you. Being a Muslim and Pakistani there is a certain attachment between us. I know it's a bitter truth but being a Muslim, one should strongly believe that if it's not happening now, it's not a good time for this. I've been through this process and it's very intense. But keep the hope up. Once it's over, you'll not even remember how difficult it was. Another suggestion is to pray 2,4 or any number of nawafil everyday for all your hard times. I will suggest it to do it everyday even if your problems are solved. I think it helped me, and inshaAllah it will help you.
So cheer up. Have faith that it's going to be over one day. And keep talking to your spouse and keep their hope up as well. InshaAllah soon you guys will be with your family.
And Sarah, your letter is beautiful. I am sure it will help you inshaAllah.
Happy Ramadan
Allah Hafiz.

English translation doesn't require to be signed. You just need copy of urdu nikkah nama and English translation.
-
You can take phone records, engagement pictures, her air tickets for the last time she came here etc etc with you
-
If your fiance is your relative, then it's not gonna be a problem. Just a few questions I think, how you met, how you communicate, when did you guys meet last time, pictures, chat logs etc etc. But if you guys are from different race and religions, then you should be ready for any kind of questions which you can find on different posts.

Call NVC. They schedule the interview by collaborating with embassy. You can't do anything with the embassy directly.

Use the bellow link to track your passport. This is the best way.

Or
you can contact them here. Online chat is also available.

Same here ....
My POE date is 30 April n today its been 28 days adter arrival n still not received SSN. We have check mark the box in DS 260 & went to SSA office too. But they told us to wait for 3 weeks,if not received then only give an application. Not received yet so,gave application on 26th n still waiting.
After submitting application she told me to come back tomorrow, and she told me my SSN next day. Card usually arrives within 2 weeks. I submitted application on 19th, still didn't receive my card. I think you should go to their office, they will tell you your number.
-
Its 3 weeks of arrival but not received SSN yet...
Go to your local social security office, show them your visa stamp, they will enter your record and will give you SSN next day and will deliver card within two weeks. That's what I did this week
-
No need to get copies attested , however I will suggest you to make two english translations of Urdu documents e.g. Nikkah Nama and/OR birth certificate, and have those Attested from notary public. and send one copy to NVC and take one with you at the time of interview.
-
NVC do not ask for Original documents. Just send them photocopies and take originals to the interview
Certified copy is another copy from the issuing authority. Like Union Consul to get a certified copy of you birth certificate or Nikkah nama. It's not just a Attested copy. As you have originals, you don't need to get Certified copies. Just take originals to Embassy.

Normally it takes 1 week, but I think delays are because of some shifting US embassy is doing. They also rescheduled interview from this week to next month. So inshaAllah you guys will get your visas next week.

There is a trick to track your packet, I tried it and it worked but I am not sure now how it works, you can google it. But I think you don't need to worry about that, mine even didn't change to ready util last week before interview.
