  1. This is my understanding about NICOP and Pakistani Passport. Correct me if I am wrong. After you become US Citizen and have US passport, you either need NICOP or Pakistani Passport to enter Pakistan without a visa. Either NICOP or Pakistani Passport will do. If you have neither of these valid at the time of entering Pakistan, you woule need a visa for Pakistan on yout US Passport.

I am not sure but I think after becoming US citizen, your Pakistani Passport is no longer valid, you travel using your US passport I think they take over your Pakistani passport on oath ceremony. So your only ID is your NICOP. And if you don't have NICOP then you need a visa.

  2. Yes your are saying 100% right.. If we know the condition never ever waste time and money... Today my brother put up his petition and assigned isl case #...Thanks to Allah we know on the time otherwise we lost other chance also...

can you tell me how can I withdraw my mother petition or before withdraw should I mail to embassy tell them about all condition ? they already know but may be they want to take written statement... My all original documents also submitted there, how can I get back?

Yeah you should send them an email about the current situation. And ask them if they are not continuing this application, send back you original documents.

  3. Hi friends who got k1 visa approved. I want to know if getting a NICOP (National ID Card for overseas Pakistanis) is mandatory before travelling to US? I just got my visa and making travel plans, not sure if I must get NICOP from here first before traveling. Is it mandatory before I travel?

    Thanks.

Not at all. NICOP is for people who got citizenship. As your friend is still a Pakistani Citizen, and will get a green card and will hold until three/five years. After becoming a citizen he/she needs NICOP to travel back to Pakistan.

  4. it is not USCIS' fault that your mother did not withdraw the petition when she moved back to Pakistan. How on Earth were they supposed to know she moved 5 years ago unless they were told?????????? Stop blaming the system for something they had NO knowledge of!!!! SMH

They know that her mother moved back to Pakistan, that's why they ask her to explain when her mother has plans to move back to US and what's her intended address. And not everyone knows that they need to withdraw the application if the petitioner is not living in US anymore. So relax, she is here for help. So tell her what's best to do now rather than just criticizing about the things she wasn't sure about as she told everything they asked during the interview.

  5. Yes you are understand my situation exactly so can you suggest me what should I write in mail?

You can tell them you had an interview with embassy and that your mother is no longer living in US and her green card is expired, and she have no plans living in US(if she really don't have plans(if she have plans moving back to US the what is the prodecure?)). And ask them if you can continue with this and provide them the required documents? Or you need to file a new application? (I think you should't tell them about the petition your brother filed.)

  6. So now you have 2 cases now.

    1) Your case petitioned by your mother. You can send email to embassy about your confusion.

    2) Your case petitioned by your brother. If your brother call NVC today, then you have one year, he can confirm this with them.

Then wait a few days to see if embassy replies, then you can decide what you want to do.

But at this stage two cases won't conflict with each other.

And the first thing you guys should do on priority is to contact NVC regarding case 2, so that you still have that option.

  7. they will reply me and suggest me what should i Do???? I have only 10 days... they will not reply me soon

So now you have 2 cases now.

  8. You are first 1 who are saying like that but i know my luck is so bad.... they will refuse me ... and my brother petition approved 3/4/2015 , Its reply time is 1 year ...so we haven't time for wait...

But I am too much worried that what should I do..

Well then you should continue with your brother's petition, and withdraw the one your mother applied. Your brother can call NVC and I think just calling them will give you guys another 1year. Because you need to stay in touch with NVC

  9. My parents green card expired. They had been living overseas in Pakistan for last 5 years and they have not come to USA for 5 years. She filed a Petition for her daughter when she was in USA, after 10 Years Now I got interview call I am her daughter, after the interview they mailed me
DNA test between applicant and petitioner. Please review attached sheet, DNA instruction.
Please review the attached sheet for assistance on the matters pertaining to your petitioner’s domicile in the United States. Petitioner is required to submit a signed statement explaining exactly when she intends to return to U.S. and at which address she intends to reside.
now question is that if i take DNA test but they can object about my mother visa status?
please help me I am worried

I don't know exactly but why not give it a try by providing them DNA test and your brother's address as their intended address and some intended date. Because you came this far, you should give it a shot.

  10. Hi Everyone,

I'm posting on my cousine's behalf. She is US national and submitted i-130 for her husband like 5 months ago. They asked for additional proof of Marriage certificate in native language which she had already provided them in the beginning that has both languages on it (local and english). She called them to clarify and they said send us the same again with cover letter.

She sent them again but now status says that i-130 has been denied due to insufficient additional prove.

Now what option she has ? should she still call them and ask to send another translation copy or file a new i-130. She has already lost 6 months.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I think she sent only NADRA Nikkah Nama(which contains English and Urdu text). What USCIS want is to send them the one issued by local Municipal Committee or Cantonment Board. With it's translation in English attested by Notary Public.

Bellow is the link to the information about appeal, If she think she already sent the required document.
