Yes, both of u have to write that letter , in my case after I did my letter I scanned it and sent it to my husband as a pdf

Big question here, please let me know if somebody had a similar case.

Im adjusting my status from K1 Visa, everything went well till a couple of days(a week ago) when we got notified for our interview appointment (22 dec) after 4 days or so they sent us a new notification that our interview was cancelled due to unforeseen reasons... ok.... after less than 48hr my status changed in " card is being produced and it's gonna be mailed to the provided address.

What should I think? Could be a mistake? My husband works for the government, would that be a reason?

U should contact the Embassy as soon as posible, they will tell u what to do and if they have ur case

Originals are need at Kingston interviews, however ppl should be aware apply

for extra BC going thru this process so they will always have original in their

possessions....If OP has ID#s at top of BC the application can be made online

i did need my bc for my ssn, why did he gave the originals on the interview for the visa, u r supposed to give them normal o certified copies, they wont give u back those papers. im so sorry maybe there is a chance with ur husbands embassy here in usa, I think he can ask for certified copies but is gonna take some time

I booked our flights today but there are no direct flights from Tokyo to Raleigh.

So I'm flying to JFK and have a connecting flight to Raleigh from there.

Will I be processed with immigration at JFK or in Raleigh? I have to change terminals at JFK and the layover is 3 hours 10 min.

We had our interview today and were approved!!! Cant express how happy and relieved we are!

The interview went smooth, I was nervous and the fact that our number was 13!!!!! didn't help at all. I lost my baby's pacifier while going through security so had to hold him for the two hours we waited, to keep him quiet.

By the time we got called for the interview my arms felts like they were about to fall off and I was hot and sweaty...

We had a female CO that was very nice and polite. Questions asked:

How my fiancé and I meet

When did he propose

If I was surprised when he proposed

When is his birthday

If I thought of a gift for his birthday this year- Its this month on the 20th, to which I replied Im hoping it will be us! that made her smile

If I met his family

How many siblings does he have

How many times I was married

Where does my fiancé live

What does he do for a living

She congratulated me and said we will get our passports in a week and that was it. And we found the pacifier waiting for us at the exit gate

Hi VJ family... my fiancé is flying to Phoenix in a few weeks with a connection through Charlotte from Jamaica. His connecting flight is only 1 hour and 10 minutes away. For me to get thru took like 20 minutes but I assume with the visa papers it will take a bit longer for him and his son. Can someone please share with me the process and what he can expect and if he might miss his flight? do they question him there as well as to why he is coming to US? any solid help would be appreciated so that I can pass it along to him. He will not be traveling with much luggage either one carryon one checked bag. I know when I had a checked bag I picked it up and they rechecked it for me right as I left customs. Any ideas? thanks.

Minors on K2 can only aply for US citizenship after 5 years after adjusting their statuses ....so they will need their romanian passports, if u need to renew them u have to go to Romanian Ambassy and do the paperwork , I repeat after a K2 has a green card is not a dependent of a K1 anymore, just because the K1 is now a US ctz it doesnt make a K2 a US citizen

what i dd was to send an email to the Embessy requesting the K1 visa instructions via email(pack 3), they answered me right away, after that, sent ds-160 confirmation page plus passp scan via email, after 10 mins called embassy to make the appointement , done!!! btw i also had 2 case numbers, Good luck!!

in my case AP was after my interv not before, they were printing my visa, prepare the envelopes...etc

Update ur timeline, maybe is a country problem and people from ur country can answ to ur questions! Good Luck!

I have read post about k1 guide i am confuse on following requirments any help would be appreciated.

I've sent everything scanned, nothing original, and yes u need to send the photos, I sent a digital one and my fiance printed and sent it along with all the docs, so good luck with ur process!!

my expr was: sent email to the Embassy stating my desire and provided my case number, our names and birth dates, after that in 10 mins they answ and sent me the visa instr, after filling the 160 sent them the conf page plus passp scan and they answ as well back thanking me and when I'll have all my papers to call for the interv

just send an email to the embasy, thats what i did, after that fill 160 online and send the confirmation page and a scan of the passport after that u can call them for the interv, the medical u can do it when u want as long as u have a case number from nvc

My fiance and I are waiting for the embassy to contact him so that we can fill out the D.S. 160 ONLINE form. We are getting paranoid because they have had the case for about a month. Do we absolutely need to wait until he hears back from them (via email, via mail , via phone) until we complete the online form?

What are the typical wait times for others?
