Patience paid off. Letter arrived today. Interview is next Thursday.

We returned the checklist, D-to the Belgian Embassy and they updated the website Monday, October 6th. It is unclear if we have to call and make an interview appointment or they will send a letter with the interview date and and time.

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. I've notice that in some cases the time between the embassy receiving the documents and the interview varies from weeks to a month.

My fiancé is getting very impatient.

Any feedback would me greatly appreciated.

Our documents left the NVC on Monday and we are having a difficult time getting a live person at the embassy to verify that our documents were received. The email address listed on VJ in not a valid email address.

Calling the embassy hasn't worked either. They don't understand the question or tell us this is not the correct department. Has anyone successfully contacted the US Embassy in Brussels with any success? If so please advise. I'm know we need to be patient during this process but a status update would help to ease frazzled nerves.
