Yep. I know. I was being funny in my reply post about a confused LPR .. at least I thought it was funny !! .. but the explanations of PLR and  LPR  that we’re stared weren’t correct anyway 😁

A lawful permanent resident is someone who has been granted the right to live in the United States indefinitely. Permanent residents are given what's known as a “green card,” which is a photo ID card that proves their status. ... Permanent residentsremain the citizen of another country.

  2. I did my Medicals last October 1, 2014, they said 3 vaccines but they only gave me 2 because the other 1 is out of stock, and told me to come back after 1 month and I am from Davao City. My vaccines weren't completed,Went to the US last March 7, 2015.. No question at POE about vaccines :), I tried giving my CD and Vaccines records to the I.O he said I need those for applying for Jobs.

  3. Got a checklist last November 6 for AOS, sent back the correct one on November 7, scanned date is November 14, Got our CC last January 8, Got our CC confirmation January 14, up to now.. No Interview schedule yet.. You are right... this waiting game drives me nuts too.. but don't worry, it's already February you might get your CC in the next weeks :).. Have faith :)

  4. An illegitimate child having the mother's middle and last name will not mean they are siblings. An illegitimate child may have a middle name (mom's) or not. It's entirely optional. My son was previously illegitimate too and he has my middle and last names on his BC and it wasn't an issue when he immigrated here in the US.

That is what the LCR and NSO told me... It wont be an issue for the US... but you know how Philippine government works :).. been dealing about this since November :).. Takes 3 months to get his BC corrected.. luckily it's not that expensive. Middle names serve to identify the maternal lineage or filiation of a person as well as further distinguish him from others who may have the same given name and surname as he has. There is nothing in our laws or custom that allows a child to adopt the middle name of his mother as his own middle name.
