Ok.. I had my naturalization interview yesterday the 18th.. My file was processed super fast and ended up being scheduled a little over 3 wks before 3 yrs gc anniversary.I think in general my interview went well, but My questions are as follows

1) Can I possibly be denied over an early interview which is not in my control? (I filed within the 90 days so thats not an issue at all)

and one more thing: Towards the end of the interview, the IO mentioned about my fingerprints expiring. And I was like, "how is that possible miss officer, I just had my biometrics last month, in July. And she goes saying, "it looks like they re-used/re-uploaded the one you had from last year for your ROC".. now my question on this one are

1) If they re-used my fingerprint from last year and sure looks like the case, OR they upload the one from last month or if they send me in for another biometrics, will that mean being under background check waiting game again?

2) did they even run a check on me considering how fast my case was processed? I am not worried about something coming up, coz my record's squeaky clean - just the wait game is a killer.

Right now, i really dont know what to think.. i wanna be positive, but im kicking myself for applying too early within the 90 days..Thanks y'all, please advice.. and to those who might have experienced same case as mine, please please chime in..

WRONG..My interview is 25 days before my 3 yrs anniversary. To say, they cant schedule you for an interview date before anniversary is plain misinfo. Khamsa, from this batch is also having his interview prior to residence anniversary.. Hang in there y'all.. and please dont attempt to do the math for everybody, it will only keep their hopes up - let the chips fall where they may.. There's an end to this.. God bless everybody!

What types of background check do they do?

@khamsa, yay! That's great! Hopefully we get the favorable on the spot approval, i won't keep my hopes up on that though considering all I've read so far, the approval being delayed. But approval is approval, and that's what I want lol! Glad I'm not the only one here with early interview God bless, everybody!

@khamsa, yes I called initially and they gave me an idea of when my interview was going to be, and said mid August.. but I did receive the letter yesterday and I guessed right, the 18th. I believe you'll receive your letter today!

Do not hesitate to ask for a tier 2. If they insist they can help you, tell them nicely that you have right in front of you the very info they're relaying to you and wish to be transferred to a tier 2, who could see more than just an online update.. just insist, but be calm and nice.. that's how I found out my bio date and even my interview date. I just tell them, I don't wish to miss an appointment due to lost mail..I'm always calm when I do this, and always successful at being transferred

Looks like it's official. I will be having my interview more than 3 weeks prior to anniversary, should there be no rescheduling on the part of the USCIS. Can somebody update my info please, it is for August 18. Thanks

I sent tax transcript for the last 3 yrs, and other docs like you said, e.g insurance, some bills, bank stuff but only after the ROC docs..so definitely not as thick as my roc but still covers pretty good documentation..

@khmasa, me too! my interview has already been scheduled and I am not eligible to take the oath until sept 12.. and i called the uscis yesterday and got to speak to a tier 2 / immigration officer, and i asked to be given an idea when my schedule will be, and he said it's set for mid august.. so that's atleast 3 weeks early! happy?? nervous?? worried.. mixed emotions really, but we shall see.. although, i kind of asked him if it would be a problem having the interview prior to my anniversary date, and he said, I can definitely still go for the interview, just can't be sworn in until after the anniversary..

oh definitely no issue on early filing, atleast I hope so.. I used the early filing calculator in uscis.gov, and posted it here, and somebody responded with the same eligibility date i came up with which was june 14th.. I signed everything on june 15th, and sent it out on the same day, and was received the 17th (priority date), it was close, but definitely within.. I took pictures of my file too, and what date I signed it, and screenshot the tracking when it was received at the post office here and there in Nebraska..so i guess I have all the proof i need in case that ever comes up as a problem..postmark date, signature date, priority date - all after June 14th..

Im happy that its moving along, but worried till the day comes I guess..Maybe they'll reschedule it, I dont know.. Unless they do, I suppose I'll go by the scheduled date and can only go from there..

What to do? I walked in for my fingerprints last week, on the 8th, original schedule is July 15th, then in line for interview on the 9th..then today, scheduled for interview.. I am not eligible to become a citizen, or that my 3 yrs mark is not until september 12.. I know for sure im within the 90 days, because I used the calculator and added 1 day to it, and thats when I sent it out / or postmarked as at 89 days..I dont have the letter yet, but its a good chance it'll be set before my 3 yrs mark.. too fast too soon, I wanna be happy... but? what do i do if indeed its before my 3 yrs mark?? Anybody experienced this?

It's scary when its so fast.. especially when you filed early in the 90 days window.. Its hard to be happy, if worried at the same time.. Can one really be denied if interviewed earlier than anniversary date in spite of filing within the 90 days window? I had my fingerprints done yesterday btw, walked-in

Ok.. Today I received my biometrics.. Thank God, no more wondering I filed early in the 90 day window, You guys think its advisable to walk-in? I know Indy office allows walk-in, not a problem..I did that last year, no question.. Any disadvantage or is it at all possible to be denied if interview is scheduled prior to 3 yr mark? and also, any tips on how to avoid a repeat fingerprinting? like particular lotion or what not

So I called 3.Times and 2 said they see nothing scheduled for me, but atleast 1 said I have an appointment.. what do you guys think? I think it's safer to assume I will have my bio.. Thank God!.. still, there was no consistency in information

My noa 1 letter sounded more like I am skipping biometrics.. standard letter has that line "upon receipt of all checks..." Which by the way is referring to biometrics..

My letter has this paragraph.. "you will be notified of your interview to be scheduled by your local uscis.. you will be notified within 60 days of this notice"

Today I called regarding this, and got to speak with an IO. THE 1st one told me there was none scheduled for me yet.. I called again later today and requested to be transferred to tier 2 again and I was told I have bio appointment on the 15th.. obviously that confused me so thought I'd call again, and I was told they don't see nothing scheduled for me yet... Now what about that?

Yeah.. there are only 3 locations, 2 lockboxes which are the Dallas and PHoenix lockboxes, and 1 service center which is the one in Nebraska

I personally wish I won't have to skip my bio though so it won't be such a drag-On worry for me, wondering if towards the end I'd have to do this and be on the waiting game again

I will definitely stay on top of this.. I had walked in early for my bio last yr and applied early for my roc last year.. my husband is just a normal military guy, nothing of high rank or anything unfortunately heheh..I applied on 6/16 last yr and had my bio on 7/1 and was approved 7/14, so yeah.. I swifted through my ROC luckily within just 28 days.. won't happen on n400 though - well coz my earliest possible citizenship is not until mid September and I filed early in the window this year too..

That's the thing, our notice doesn't come from nbc but the Nebraska service center or nsc... I am a military spouse.. I'll wait till this Friday and see what happens

in most cases - Receipt date is the same as priority date

Of course I'll do what I'm told to do and not force anything. But I won't sit around wondering, I'll seek for an answer.. I will ask.. me personally wanting to do it doesn't mean I'll force what can't be.. it's a want.. as much as you WANT this journey to end soon.
