  1. Hello, my fiance and I have come across a theory and I wanted to see if any one else has heard or experienced this too.

The theory is that if part of the AP message (in the body) changes from "processed and mailed/available" to "...processed and mailed or available" after a recent status update, the update means they are getting read to issue the visa.

I have read that for K-1 visas the really good change is when it goes back to "ready" status, then goes back to ''AP" with the title saying 'Nonimmigrant' and then it should change to "issued".

    Any thoughts?

hope its a good sign that your soon going to be approved!!

  2. I can now report that my visa has been approved and ISSUED!

Automated email just arrived from the Sydney Consulate.

    AT LAST!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! So happy for ya!! :dancing:

I'm in Administrative Processing since like 30 June, cannot wait till its over..

Let us know when your visa is in your hand so we know how long it takes you to get it after its Issued because apparently there is a backlog at Sydney.

  3. Hello, Sara and I recent relieved an email from the Sydney Consulate asking to create an account on USTravelDocs and to reply to the email with my information.

I've made the account on USTravelDocs and paid the fee, but we weren't sure what to put in the subject line for our email containing my details and we know better than to leave it blank. Can anyone help us here?

You need to reply to support-australia@ustraveldocs.com with the subject line:

    Case Number: SYD***************

    and your details.

Did you get an interview date already?

    Goodluck! ;)

  4. Do you get an assigned date for the consular interview or do you get to pick the date? If you get it assigned is it possible to ask for a later date?

I'm asking this because we (My Fiancee and I) already had a trip planned thinking the process would take a lot longer, but it's taken 7 weeks from the day the CSC received it to the consulate receiving it.

We don't really want to cancel this trip because I don't get the money back for the tickets ($1,400AUD).

I paid the fee online today, which is the same day they notified us of them receiving it. So I'm thinking it won't be too long before they contact me again.

    Thanks again guys,

    Ben and Sara.

The interview date is assigned as you receive Packet 3 and 4 altogether in an email from the Sydney consulate. You can ask for a later date by emailing them on support-australia@ustraveldocs.com

Goodluck on your journey ahead ;)

  5. Hey everyone

sorry i remember someone asking these questions, what is parket 3 and 4 and the embassy just received my documents so should i contact them or i should wait and what about the medicals? should i go ahead and do the medicals on my own,at these stage i dont know what to do?

Packet 3 is the instructions you receive from your Embassy/Consulate for documents such as your police check, birth certificate, a copy of your passport. Packet 4 is your confirmation for the interview date and a list of what you should bring to the interview. Have a look at your embassy/consulate website, it will tell you exactly what those 2 packets are. Every embassy/consulate works differently so its best to contact your embassy/consulate about those packets. And yes its about time you get your medical examination done! Goodluck! :)

Good morning VJ family. The Consulate replied my email this morning, telling my fiancé to use his visa payment receipt to make an interview appointment online and follow the instruction for fiancé visa applicants @ htt://us travel docs.com. If he encounter any problem accessing or using the online appointment system to email or call them. I thought they give the date I guess things have change.Wow! Things are moving.

Very soon we will be with our love..

. I hope the waiting ends for you soon and you get an interview date soon!!

    :time:

  6. Its almost 2 weeks and NVC still have my documents, so how long does our documents have to stay with them before sending it to my embassy

Your not the only, my case has also been there for nearly 2 weeks too since 2nd of April. It should be out to our assigned embassy or consulate soon later this week or maybe next week. Keep your head high, it'll come around soon. Maybe you can read up things on how your embassy or consulate deals with K1 Fiance Visas and get the required documentation ready.

  7. When is a good time to call NVC, and which number do you call?

The number is +1-603-334-0700. A good time would be in the morning between 7am to 9am. I called the first time and got through, was on hold for 20 minutes. Just follow the options the recorder says..Also make sure you have your own date of birth and fiance's date of birth and your USCIS case number ready. Goodluck

We really didn't' have a choice, packet 4 came with an interview date assigned, April 30th, and it just said show up then. I guess if we really had to we could of called, but we just want to get the interview over, done with, and be together already.

Congratulations on getting your interview date!! Good luck with everything. Its so good to see everyone happy here and close to being with our loved ones soon. :)

  8. Hi all, I had my interview today for the K1 visa at the sydney office. My express post envelope was not taken by the officer, even after I went back upstairs to check why. They said the envelope was not needed for the k1 visa, which I am puzzled by.... I have read everywhere else that it is? Has anyone had this problem?! I am now currently freaking out that my visa will take forever to reach me! Thanks in advance!

    Hi there Ezzface,

I think you should email the Sydney Consulate and ask them how they are going to mail you your Passport along with your Visa so they answer your question as to why you don't need an express post envelope.

Don't freak out, they usually reply within 24 hours.

    Goodluck! :D

  9. I'm on day 211. Received my NOA 1 on August 27th. I got to visit my fiance for 2 months. The rest of the time we have been separated, which is especially heartbreaking since we cannot even Skype due to the limited internet access in Cuba. I hope everyone who is waiting gets approved soon!!! Hang in there!

You're very lucky you got to visit your Fiance, I haven't seen my fiance for 7 months and its really getting to me now..I hope you can find a better internet connection to stay in touch..If it wasn't for Skype, I don't know what I'd do. Best of luck, it'll come around soon!!

I got my NOA1 on 8/25. No NOA2 or RFE yet. It's been a terrible wait. I'm glad I made the decision to move overseas and wait together with my fiance at the time.

Your very lucky, enjoy your time together!! Wishing you all the best and I hope this terrible wait ends soon for all of us.

  10. Got the notice in the mail yesterday. No text or email. Approval date was March 9th, 2015. Not as happy as I thought I would be though, to all of you still waiting, I hope you get your approvals soon. It's an incomplete celebration knowing that you all are still waiting for your approvals.

Congratulations!! You should be happy after such a long wait that you've finally received your approval!!

Goodluck with the rest of your journey :)

  11. Hey guys! I traveled back to go be with my baby on 3/10/15 so I just decided to check the USCIS website now and it says we were approved on 3/12/15.. My fiancé is not here with me right now he stepped out. I can't wait to give him the good news. I will be back next week to the US. Will it be too late to start the next process? Good luck to those that are still waiting for approval.

    Congratulations on your approval!

  12. Okay, so I went back to my local police station, explained that I needed fingerprints done and that I needed to add the address of the sydney consulate so it could be sent their straight away by the AFP, but they then told me that the form I filled out wasn't processed by the AFP and it was a state check or something.

So, where am I supposed to go for this police check?

    The AFP, or local police?

Also, where do I get the forms.

I am so confused, I wish I had my packet 3 instructions :ranting:

Hi Cardinal, Congratulations on your approval and I hope your journey ahead is smoother and faster! :D

Packet 3 looks a bit like this if you go to this link, its a form called DSL-1076

    http://photos.state.gov/libraries/australia/39176/pdf/dsl-1076.pdf

except you don't need some forms like DS-156 and DS-156K - although you may need DS 230 which is the Biographic Data Form, I'm not really sure

If you already have your Case Number from the NVC: You can start filling out the online form DS-160.

And I suggest you also book your Medical too

With the Australian Federal Police Check have a read of this forum:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/527738-australian-federal-police-check-issues/

I just got mine recently done because I know it takes about 2-3 weeks to receive it. You need to go to your Local Police Station with the AFP police Check FORM with all your ID attached certified if you can't show originals to your Local Police. Also take a pre-paid envelope with you when you get your fingerprints done because the Local Police Station posts it out the Australian Federal Police.

I'm sorry but I'm not aware about the Queensland Police Check as I live in NSW. An easy can be to email the Sydney Consulate:
