  1. Hope everyone is having a great day!

We had the combo interview a few days ago and had the same day Oath ceremony. Everything went smoothly. Now I am a US citizen.  However, today I received 2 letters: 10 y green card and a letter noticing me that my I-751 was transferred to National Benefit Center.  I have no idea what that means. What should I do? Anyone had the same experience?

I remember during the interview, the officer told me that he already noticed USCIS not to produce my 10 y green card. But, he said that doesn't mean I won't get one. Oh my, so he is right!

I went back into case status to look at all our uploads, but since filing it shows everything in "Other" category except thr Greencard which is in "Proof of Residency" category.  Again odd as they were filed under the separate areas, guess the system just bunched them post filing.

There's 14 in "other" category now

oh, then Ill just leave those files in the "other" category.     I tried one more time, it still does not allow more than 5 files.  I found an old thread which said you could upload 5 files at one time then click "saving evidence" button. Then you could upload more than 5 files. However, I do not see "saving evidence" button...

BTW, how quickly did you receive biometrics notice? Would they send me an email to notice me?

That's odd, we uploaded more than five.  Never more than five at a time though

Try logging out and back in.  There were days when we tried to upload and it was "Broken" then worked fine the next day.

That is odd.  Tried logging out. Still not allowed to have more than 5 files in one section. I tried to upload files to "additional evidence" section. It worked since there are not 5 files under that folder yet.... what is going on here lol

We filed online and were really happy we did.  Within two days my husband received notification of his biometrics appointment.  I'm not sure if it is available to you, but I'd definitely check it out.  Because we did file online, there were several things that we didn't have to worry about (it already calculated our eligible filing date, it allowed us to upload our documents, when we filled out the application, it didn't show us the questions we didn't need to answer and it charged us  the correct amount...).

To answer your question, though, yes the date is 90 days prior to your three year anniversary of being a permanent resident.  We have a pending ROC and have read in many places on this site that it is completely acceptable to have two pending applications (ROC and naturalization).  Yes, we paid $725.00.  Being online, we paid with credit card.

I believe the two identical color photos are only if you live outside the US.  The rest of your paperwork looks good.

Thank you for the information.  I will definitely check online filing.

  5. I hope you guys are having a fabulous day! Thanks ahead for the help!

    Here is our story:

My ROC is still pending and we are running out of the patience. Since this year July 25th will be the 3rd anniversary of the green card, my husband and I decide to start the journey of N 400.  We are planning to send the package on 26th April. I kinda remember we can apply 90 days prior the anniversary date. Is that correct?   Also, will pending ROC be an issue here?

We''ve collected quite a bit of evidence and documents during these years. However, as far as I understand, we do not need to present all the documents until the N 400 interview ?

Anyways, here is our checklist, please let us know if we are missing something!

    · My completed form N-400

    · Form G-1145 E-notification of Application Acceptance

    · Two identical color photos

    · A photocopy of both sides of my Permanent Resident Card

    · A check in the amount of $725 made payable to US Department of Homeland Security

    · A copy of my spouse birth certificate & passport photo and signature pages

    · Our marriage certificate

    · A copy of the divorce decree from my spouse’s prior marriage

    · Joint IRS tax transcripts for years 2015, 2016, and 2017.

    · Joint health insurance since 2015

    · A copy of joint ownership of our current address: property deed and annual property tax assessments since 2015

    · 6 official joint bank account statements of XXX from January 2015 to the Present

    · 7 monthly statements of our joined credit card account from 2016 to present

    · 4 monthly statements of our joined XXX BANK account from 2015 to present

Okay, I can use some feedback from the participants in this thread, and specifically those who use the April 2017 i-751 tracking sheet in my signature.

Specifically, I just checked on the sheet and someone had renamed it "August 2017 n-400 filers". I have no idea why this change was made since the data relates to 4/2017 i-751 filers. Maybe it was a mistake.

I've changed the name back to its original name and made a backup copy to my local drive.

I want to keep this sheet public. Some participants have made good improvements to the formatting of the sheet. But with the public sharing means anyone can change the sheet, data, etc. There doesn't seem to be any partial editing privileges. Should I keep the sheet public? The new entries have sort of declined to a trickle in recent months. But I hate to make it private because if someone shares the good news that they got approved, then it would be great that everyone could share in that as they update the sheet.

    Any ideas?

I agree, the sheet should be kept public. But last week when I was checking, CSC sheet didn't look right.

Maybe, red bold notice on the top?  something like "please do not unnecessarily edit the sheet! " One more thing, there is not "RFE" column in the sheet.

Did your guys' myUSCIS status change from "Received" (... we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number EAC1715650389, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case.)... to something different after you did the biometrics?  I sense these online updates don't mean a whole lot, but I have gotten extension letter and did biometrics since that time..

no updates at all. still "we received..."

I doubt they would ever update the information

  8. I don't think anything is a must except for the form i-751 and tax transcripts and $ :).

The point here is to prove that the marriage is genuine. Whatever documents we collect are served for this purpose.  To be honest, just in my opinion, you are overthinking right now.  And I totally get it as I am on the same boat... long waiting drives us nuts sometimes...

Still, RFE isn't the end of the world. But I seriously doubt you would get one according to your list of documents.

That sucks! And yes, these sorts of things are exactly what makes this process so frustrating. USCIS believes that since we are never "out-of-status" they can make the I-751 the very last priority. However, their own information is so unclear that every individual field office seems to interpret the rules differently, never mind border control, DMVs and employers.

If USCIS is going to continue taking this long to process applications (which I think is ridiculous, but it is what it is) then they need to be much more transparent about how it works, including making it easy for their own people and other government departments and employers and US, the actual applicants to clarify our status, travel, work, drive, and generally, continue to enjoy the rights we are entitled to as legal permanent residents.

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. So far, the processing hasn't affected me in any major way, since Oregon gave me a regular driving license and I'm self-employed so I don't have to prove my status to an employer. And I've arranged to do my travelling prior to the "grey area" between the date on my letter and the date on my green card.

But I'm as aware as anyone that if I needed to travel unexpectedly (for a family emergency, say), after mid-August, I might wind up in a situation where I am detained while I explain USCIS' policies to border security. This is unacceptable!

Oregon here as well.  Looking at your timeline,  I suddenly realize I probably at least got a year to wait.  The application fee is up 20%. Can they speed up 20% as well?

I thought higher price is equal to better quality...

  10. You got a RFE for affidavit? I checked your timeline, you just had an interview 2 days ago? did the officer require affidavit during the interview?  Sorry, I am just a little confused.

Regarding the format of affidavit, you can just search on this site. There are some sample forms right on this site.   Some people choose to notarize it, some don't.   I didn't even send any affidavit. I heart it's not as important if you have plenty of other evidence.

Thanks for your reply! May I ask what else you submitted with your petition? I've read on here that a lot of people sent out a bunch of evidence that I'm afraid I'll receive an RFE

     this is my list: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/632039-removing-conditional-residency-application-checklist-feedback-please/

Wish us both good luck. :)
