August wedding sounds almost impossible, unfortunately. And we can relate to you because we also had everything planned and had to make adjustments recently.
We submitted our petition/got NOA1 in late August 2014, and set a wedding date for mid-April 2015 considering the processing time wasn't supposed to be longer than 5/6 months. Unfortunately, TSC is very slow and they're still processing June/July cases. IF we're lucky, we may get a NOA2 in late February/March, so a few weeks ago we decided to move the wedding to July.
I know they tell you not to plan anything before getting a visa but honestly 90 days to book everything is a little too crazy, so if you want to just go ahead, be prepared for at least an 8 month process and plan around that.
