We met in a yahoo chatroom in 2000. We talked quite a bit for the next year and his family came to Florida for 2 weeks vacation in 2001. Our families met because obviously we were young and meeting people from the internet can be dangerous and you want to make sure that person is who they say they are. Anywho....We really clicked and continued to talk ALL of the time. His family came back the following summer in 2002 and Nick came on his own that winter. He came the spring of 2003 and then came back that summer, Spending anywhere from 2 weeks to a month with my family. I finally went over to Scotland from Dec. 2003 - March 2004.
We were obviously really serious because all that traveling isn't cheap! He came back across for a month in June, and we started planning for my next visit. Nick graduated from university in July. I found out I was pregnant in July as well and by the end of July I was back over and within 3 days of being over, I miscarried.
In October we seriously started making plans to be married because we were tired of going back and forth, we just wanted to start a real life together. Our wedding was planned over the period of 6 WEEKS, during which I found out I was pregnant again. With such short notice, none of my family was able to make it. So we were married on November 28th of last year. I went back home without my husband a month later to start working(which didn't go to plan) and to start the whole process for him to immigrate to the U.S.
Most of my pregnancy, I was without my husband, but he came back across for the birth of Ava and ended up staying the full 3 months he was allowed on the visa waiver. Ava(our daughter) and I came to Scotland at the end of September 2005 in hopes of Nick receiving his interview and all 3 of us flying back to the states together. Well...Nick was APPROVED on January 11th, 2006. I'm so excited to settle down with my wonderful husband and our precious daughter!
