Here they are! However, they are in Spanish! I am fluent because I lived in the DR with hubby for 4 years. Maybe yours can watch and keep you updated. if you don’t speak the language well!

    Good luck!

Thank you! And not a problem, el español es mi primer idioma. Will keep you posted on any updates.

We are also waiting DQ 9/2/2020. Does anyone know what month was the DQ where these spousal visa interviews that are currently been held?

I follow a few people on youtube that say maybe still doing March/April backlogs 🤬 Makes me want to scream

I completely understand. For us, everything went so fast and smoothly and now the long wait. It does make you want to scream!  God willing it will go faster. I’m also trying to figure out how far out. I would appreciate it if you could share the YouTube channels so I can follow.

    Hi all!

Just wanted to share the good news that today we got an e-mail form the embassy that they have been working on rescheduling interviews. We got our new interview date as well!

We didn't expedite or anything. This is in Santo Domingo. Couldn't be happier!

Congrats!!! When did the schedule your new interview for? Hopefully, it will not be a long wait.

  4. Hello All!!

I am a US citizen and my husband a green card holder. My husband’s child is in Dominican Republic and we will petition her but later in 2021. In the meantime we would like her to come visit. Her birth mom told us today that she read a child of a green card holder or citizen doesn’t qualify for a visitors visa.

I would love for any of you to shed some light on this topic.

    thank you!!!

  5. So today I received an email through ceac to send my 1099 and w2 although, I sent in an irs tax return transcript. They approved our aos and I864. I am petitioning my stepdaughter.

ee justo submitted the docs last week, I’m happy and amazed by the fast response.

I don’t want to start celebrating yes but, all on ceac say accepted. Does that mean we are now only waiting for an interview date? Is there anything else I should be doing now?

    thank you!

Just went to the DR Consulate website and saw this, so yes they are closed.

The Consular Section in the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo and the Visa Application Center (VAC) are processing nonimmigrant visa applications eligible for interview waiver cases only. The VAC and the Embassy are still closed for all routine cases that require interviews. To determine your eligibility for an interview waiver nonimmigrant visa and schedule an appointment please see: www.ustraveldocs.com/do

Yes, I see. Wondering if it also applies for immigrant visas.

Each petition is evaluated separately.  Unfortunately, you cannot request to transfer to a different service center.  Luck of the draw.

Did you get your interview date? Is your interview in Santo Domingo? I’m trying to find out how and for when they are scheduling since all I hace read is that the consulate in DR is closed.

  8. I petitioned my stepdaughter and our case is already at DOS but, I am worried about the timeframe for the interview in DR.

Has anyone schedule an appointment recently at the US Consulate in DR? How far away is it?
Any info on this is greatly appreciated!

The Embassy website usually updates their COVID-19 info weekly (Tuesdays), yet this week there is no update. 🤔

Do any of you know if interviews are being scheduled for immigrant visas? And if so, any idea if the timeframe?

    Thanks!

Your stepdaughter will get an IR-2 immigration visa.

Did USCIS send you a receipt?  Has your filing fee been accepted?

These are all approximation.  Your time could be longer or shorter.

USCIS will take 7.5 to 9.5 months to approve the I-130.  Then, it can take 2-3 months for USCIS to send the approved I-130 to the NVC to generate a fee letter.  Once you pay the fees, you will need to upload the required paperwork.  How long for this step depends on you and how fast you can get the police certificate. Then, it's about 2-3 months for them to review your documents and schedule an interview.  The entire process from filing the I-130 to getting a visa after the interview is about 15-18 months.  Essentially, expect things to take 6-9 months after the I-130 is approved if everything runs smoothly.

    I sm

extremely happy to say our case is at the NVC. It was sent over on 10/5/2020. Just wondering if anybody knows how the consulate in the Dominican Republic is working the interviews and the timeframes.

Hi! Yes, I received the NOA1. I filled online and is says it’s been accepted and under review since 7/7. Filling fee? I paid for the I130

You don't need to worry about that.  The US Embassy will issue the appropriate visa, you don't get to choose.

It will not be a K-3 or CR-1.  Both are for spouses, not stepchildren.

Did you file an I-130 directly for your stepdaughter with yourself as the petitioner (and not the biological parent)?

    How old is your stepdaughter?

How old was she when you married her parent?

Hi! Thank you for responding. I’m asking because I would like to follow up through here and the correct timelines. Yes, I filled for her online. She is 15 now but we married when she was 5. I haven’t heard back and I filled on 5/31/2020. I would love to have an idea of the timeline. Per USCIS the process is taking from 7.5 to 9.5 months. Any feed back is greatly appreciated.

  13. Hello everyone!

I submitted the I-130 for my husband in 4/14/14. I am a US Citizen and I live in Fl. My husband is In the Dominican Republic. I reveived the first NOA on 4/22/14. Case was sent to the Nebraska Servicing Center. Since then we havent heard anything. Is there something we should do aside from just waiting? Any docs that need to be completed or submitted? Im worried of missing something and making the process longer. Thank you!!!!
