  1. Our submitted documents were not enough for them, so I added more solid proofs of joint ownership of assets and financial accounts. We don't own a  home nor lease  cause we are living with our in laws for free and we are taking care of them. that was a big deal for them I believe. I sent an affidavit that was signed by my in laws stating the Rent free residency.

  3. Hey guys,
I have a question regarding annual income. My husband (the petitioner) is a salesman and his income depends on sales and therefore its unpredictable. In addition he does that thing only for about 3 months so it's really hard for us to estimate his annual income. However he is not going to be my main sponsor. I'm going to have a joint sponsor with hourly job and pretty clear situation.
So in that case, should we put much thought into his annual income? Should we explain it in part 11 "additional information"? Or can we put there whatever and just focus on joint sponsor?

for your annual income, based it on your last income tax return as stated (2014), if you are filing now. you cannot just put an estimate. they need actual income. this is both from your spouse and other joint sponsor. for his current income, based it on your (2015) on your sponsor's current paycheck/paystub. you will need your sponsor's current income too for USCIS to assess their current financial capability.

  4. NVC will send you a letter containing your Case Number. NVC Letter, she needs it to proceed with her Medical. But if no letter arrives from NVC, she can print the Status "Ready" as proof, her case is ready for medical and interview. USEM don't send letter for beneficiary here in the Philippines. She's good to go.

  5. it varies to the kind of system the Consular Office is doing by country. In the Philippines, they don't send anything to the beneficiary after the case is sent to the Consular Office. The Beneficiary check the status online using the case number, then proceed with the medical and interview scheduling. The NVC letter containing the case number serves as the source of document here to proceed with the process.

Check the system your country is doing.

  6. USEM Manila don't sent notification. As soon as you have the manila case number, you can proceed with the process here as soon as your case status is READY. Ready for medical and interview. NVC forwarded our case last dec23 here, were already done with medical and interview but no letter received.

    You are waiting for nothing.

Check your case in www.ceac.gov (manila case number is needed) if it says ready, then you are good to go.

  7. Hello, most people working at US Embassy are rude!!! Yes you guys are approved! Congrats on that! I just got a heart breaking call from the US embassy today, said they can't print my visa cause my passport cover is dettached. Which was funny cause it was in a good condition when I hand it to them and they even accepted it on the day of my interview!!!!

When was your interview? and how did it goes? can you still remember the consul who interviewed you? That was so disappointing, sorry to hear that.

  8. I guess I'm no where as long as the TSC folks on here but it's been a little over a month (1mo3d) since receiving the notice from the NVC saying they have sent the paperwork to the Manila embassy and my fiancee still has not received her packet 3. How long does it (past/similar experience) from notice to consulate receipt to packet 3/4 to interview? Mid-October filers here.

Have you tried calling up NVC about the transit? Or checked status online on where is it currently right now? It will tell you at NVC, in-transit, or Ready.

TSC here too, we got our case in-transit on Dec30, and consulate received it Jan5 and ready.

  9. You will put his current annual salary on the I-134 form. This is the amount he would receive had he worked an entire year. You do not put just what he earned in those 5 months, you will put what he earns in a year. If he is on salary, you will put the annual salary. If he is paid hourly, then the annual salary = hourly rate X hours worked per week X 52. Get an employer letter to also verify the annual salary, and the few pay checks will help. More than likely, since your tax return already shows your fiancé above the poverty guidelines, USEM won't even ask to see an employer letter or paystubs.

Thank you:) now I feel better!:)

  10. Hi! I have this situation for filling up the I-134 form (Affidavit of Support) for K1: Fiance has earnings of $46,450.00 last 2013 per 1040 return. For 2014, he transferred to a new company and worked only for 5months (Aug-Dec) but already earned $27,477.32, way up high for our required income of $19,662.00 per poverty guidelines (2household). We are about to show this affidavit this Jan29th interview at the consular embassy. On the item#7 page 2 of I-134 form, we filled up his current employer obcourse, but we are confused what amount to fill up on the total annual income, since question#7 pertains to his current employment. If we filled up the 2013 total annual income (this pertains to his previous employer with corresponding 1040 form to confirm the earnings) OR , if we fill up the 2014 (current income w/ current employment) this is only for 5mos income of $27,477.32. (with corresponding pay stubs, to support, since 2014 tax forms is not yet due). Which we will use? I hope somebody can enlighten us. Thanks in advance:)
