Congratulations!

Our interview is in 10 days and my wife just received a request to get another set of fingerprints taken. The biometrics were taken on 01-30-07. Does any ne have info on why this might happen and what it means? The appointment for fingerprints is actually a week after the AOS interview. We could just go down and have it done but I'm not sure what to do.

We were able to have the civil surgeon transfer the vaccinations from the booklet because we did not have the ds-3025.

Ours arrived on Saturday and was picked up by Monday. All was noted on the USPS tracking page.

In Phoenix our I-797c for AOS worked.

We received this notice:
Current Status: Case received and pending.
On January 10, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
When I check the processing dates I485 is not in the list. Only I765. Has anyone else had this experience?

I read some where that you need the EAD before you can get a SSN... but I may be mistaken..
K1 does not need EAD, we just did this yesterday. I do not know about K3. My step son is a K2 and he must get an EAD before they will give him a SSN.
So you will apply for the EAD for your son at the same time as your spouse? How old is your step son?

Hello!
We finally got an appointment for the interview in Frankfurt. The appointment is settled for 9:30 a.m.
but I have read that some of you already went there at 7:30 a.m. Does anybody know if it is better to be there that early or if it is just as fine if you get there at the time proposed ?
Looking forward to hearing from you...
Flea
We showed up at 8:30 for a 9:30 appointment. The medical was completed a few weeks in advance so there was no need to go to the dr before the interview appt. We were out by 11:00am.

We used the citizen line and had no problems.

I bought our ticket when we knew the interview date. I did have to reschedule the flight. His interview was on Tuesday and the flight was that Saturday. The problem was that he recieved the VISA on Tuesday not Friday like I was expecting. But I had checked on the change fee before, we booked it. It was only $60 to rebook.
Thanks
Rhonda
We booked the flight for 11 days after the interview but didn't realize there were 2 holidays. We received the packet on Monday and flew on Tuesday. Pretty stressfull.

Hi there!!!
Guess what, Im holding my visa in my hands!!!!
I was kinda worried after the approval at the interview cause the officer forgot to make me sign DS-156 and I completly forgot to ask him about it too.
Im glad that I did ask the officer if I can pick up the visa in person as I work really close to the consulate. (normally they mail it) He agreed and gave me a paper with the pickup date 10/04/06. I went there this morning and I was in there for another 3,5 hours. I had to sign DS-156 and then I got my visa....Im so happy. Now Im really ready to go!
I thank you again for your great support and I wish everybody waiting all the best and good luck on their visa journey!
Mimi
Congrats!

Frauke Julia and I went to the Frankfurt embassy last Friday. Everything went very smooth. There was still some tension due to the immense amount of paperwork to handle but everyhting worked out fine. Thanks to all for the info posted here. It really helped us to be prepared.
Thanks

We had the same question at the end where it said to bring all of the documents. We just sent the docs back like it said on the first page and will bring all the rest for the interview like Jen said.
Frauke, how did you mail your packet 3? We have the same dates for this piece! David mailed his as 'registered' and phoned the Consulate today... they had not received it yet and he was upset, thinking he should have mailed it differently. I had no idea how he was planning to mail it back....
Jen
Frauke sent packet per dhl express. She had a tracking number and was able to look it up on-line.

Frankfurt requested ours to be sent with the other forms... the supporting docs for the other form(s) (forget which one now) is what's taken to the interview.
Jen
From what I can see,my documentation from Frankfurt says to bring evidence of support to the interview and not to send it to there office along with the list of other supporting items

I was wondering the same. The only thing I could find was that the embassy in Colombia has a web site that will show the appointment time, but not much else.
Perhaps for the Netherlands, there is something at:
Thanks Jen. Thats good info!

Thanks for the info! Our case was received at NVC on 8-7-06 so hopefully the Frankfurt consulate will have it on Monday.

I checked this AM and NVC still has not recieved our case. I was also touched yesterday. This I find interesting.........
John
Called the NVC today. They received our paperwork yesterday and we were touched yesterday. Had to change fiancee's address. They said it might be 2 to 4 weeks for the paperwork to reach the embassy but I feel it will be by the end of the week!
Thanks for everything!

We received our green cards this past weekend. I just want to say thanks again for all the helpful information found on this message board. It really made an uncontrollable process easier to understand. I don't know how things may have gone without it. Best wishes to all and good luck!
