I think that "awake" concept is subjective... in my case anyway. The lights are on but nobody's home. Its very tempting to crawl under my desk and go to sleep. Life seems to finally be calming and down and settling into a rhythm. Now instead of 2 of us there are 3. We take the little dog everywhere and Moh just loves him. He's been busy training him. Its a good way for him to kill time waiting for his EAD. I sure hope it comes this month. We are kind of starting to miss that extra paycheck. Hope everyone has a great day.

It could be a huge revelation to some individuals I've encountered here that "if you act like a sh*t people generally don't like it." He has encouraged reporting as a means of controlling the board, whether or not you agree with the whole concept of reporting.

I would think that if he found the number of reports to be excessive that he wouldn't have encouraged people to report problems.

No, antagonizing other posters...meaning say one thing that could be construed many different ways and then the other poster is all 'I'm reporting you'

Sarah takes a lot of flack while others can say similar things without being reported. I just think there's a disparity...just because something is reported does not mean that person was the one in the 'right'. It's all subjective, I suppose...but get a bunch of people who don't like a poster...and multiple reportings could have the possibility of giving E an inaccurate picture...

I completely agree that that happens. I don't have any good solution though.

A big congratulations and best wishes for a happy reunion and new chapter in their lives. I know this wait was becoming difficult for her and I'm glad there are happier times to focus on now.

Right after my husband arrived from Egypt, he snagged a job at a movie theater near our home. He requested they put "Moh" on his name tag because he was afraid of people seeing "Mohammed". Well, they printed "Mohammed" on his name tag anyway and one night, as he was taking tickets, a teenaged girl and her boyfriend walked to him with their tickets. The girl read his tag, "Mohammed? Oh my god! Are you going to blow up the theater?" Then she just squealed with laughter thinking it was the wittiest thing she'd ever said.

My husband has also had many Mexicans here confuse him for Mexican. He was in line at the grocery store and two Mexican men started talking to him in their native tongue. Mohammed told them "I'm sorry. I don't understand you." One of the guys became very irrate and accused him in English of being ashamed of his native tongue and being less of a man, and blah blah blah. Mohammed told him "Dude! I'm Egyptian!"

Never and end to it I guess.

Our's was in and out. Depends on what time you get there and how busy the office is, but the time for the actual biometrics is only a few minutes.

Well, since y'all are going to start in on the food thing... tonight we're off to Shepherdsville to our favorite Chinese Buffet. Its a beautiful drive in the country to get there and just makes one heck of a relaxing evening. We will also be heading away from the Kentucky Oaks/Derby madhouse and that is also a lovely prospect. The Queen of England is in town. Everyone is buzzing. This is the weekend Louisvillians live for. I'm one of those who loves the calm after the storm though. lol

okey guys, i just finshed call with a lawyer asking about EAD

anyways, she is telling me, NOWAY to get approved on k-1 visa while u been transfered to cali without interview!!!!!!

so i dont belive her, but need people with k-1 visa that transfered to cali and had no interview answer saying what happen with them!

Michael, I also had a lawyer tell me there is no way my then-fiance would be granted a k-1 visa and he is now here and we are married and I did it without any lawyer. It was my impression that several folks have been approved with k-1s and no interviews.

When we did our K1 we didn't translate anything either and had no troubles. You will, however, want them translated for filing AOS. Good luck!

I will reiterate that you are very close to being finished with your wait. Try to maintain your patience a wee bit longer and contact the Department of State to possibly make an inquiry for you. You are past 6 months so they will be willing to do so. I wish you the best luck.

I believe there is something in the TOS about not making remarks such as accusing another member of fraud and such. I'm sure this will get me flamed too. I would happily tell any of these posters what I think of them without holding back, however I don't see much use in it. It's them apparently feeling more and more like they're entitled to be legalized and forgiven for their unlawful and criminal acts that makes my blood boil. It's like thieves marching in protest when smone wants to take the loot from them.

I watched an interview on the tv news last night where an illegal immigrant was quite upset stating she "felt like a criminal" here. Um.................. duh?

Have your wife contact the Department of State and make an inquiry. Usually if you are beyond 6 months of your interview they can make inquiries for you and let you know what is going on.

Maybe someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you have anything to worry about just yet. It took the Embassy over 2 months to issue my husband's visa after everything was completed. Patience at this place in the game is very hard, I know, but I'm sure it will be forthcoming soon.

i had my interview june 7 2006 at 7.30 am as adoctor i was dressing classic and looking nice i had my interview with abalk girl and she was not nice at all she asked me about things she do not have the right to ask about and she was looking at me like i,m adevil and everything was completed she did not found any mistake in my papers my interview was over 5 hours have aset and then she call my name and ask me something and then have aset again at the end she asked something and i answerd her and i said whats the problem about that ? she said u do not have the right to answer me by question i told her ok and thenk God this day i catched my temper then she said u know what i will take ur ten finger prints go pay 85 $ for finger prints and then come i came after i paid then she was taking the finger prints the matchine did not work she said i must come another day for that then she print apaper and asked me for aproof of name change for my wifes ex husband lol funny huh from were i will bring him to give me this certificate but beacause God knows this is unfair and he never accept it after the interview my wife called and i told her about what she needed she said for me when u go home u will found this certificate in the box at ur office i left it there in the papers before i leave Egypt i told her are u sure? she said yes i,m sure then i found it and i sent it i had to back again to the embassy june 29 and the suprise was there the girl who interview me she was not there and i figured out i was not needed the finger prints the girl on the window she told me u do not need finger prints who asked u for that? i do not know even her name u must know the people names so when ur asked something like that u can answer then she told me to go home i told her i,m not astudent at aschoold and ur not ateacher to tell me to go home and then u will call me and say please come back for finger prints and pay another 85 $ lol well i told her i,m not gonna leave before u take my finger prints she said ok have aset i had aset for over 2 hours then i was asked to go to window 11 or 10 i do not remember and there i found acute girl she was nice too she said morning sir i was wondering theres someone there call me sir or at lest say morning lol sorry to make u wait so much and then she take my finger prints and said in 2weeks the security clearance must be finished and u got ur visa then i figured out this girl was the immgrant visa unit chief her name is jackquline i think and she was so nice to everyone and she gave them thier visas in even 2 monthes thats why they take her out from the embassy coz i got her e-mail address and i was in contact with her about case and one day she said she left the embassy to another place anyway after that my security clearance was cleared from the depratment of state in washignton dc on octo and was forward to the american embassy at cairo and the girl i think she is consular officer she sent it back to washignton dc for more security clearance i was approved and cleard at dec for the second security clearance and was forward to the american embassy at cairo again and then they answerd me said ur case is under the final review and it onley takes from 2 too 3 weeks for ur visa to be issued till march 2007 i did not got my visa then they called and send me apaper from the consulate they needes amovement certificate in order too issued my visa till now i did not got it no comment and i do not know what to do we called congressmen no one hlep i even sent the congressman aletter from egypt and he did not replay i even asked to meet the general consul and no one answer about this.

I feel you. We had almost 9 months of AP/AR to wait through. I know how hard it is but be assured one day it will come to an end and you will be planning your reunion and new life together! Keep your chin up.
