  1. Wow! Waht a bummer! I guess some of us just have to endure. Stay strong and just pray they appove you straight and you don't have to deal with an RFE. I'm sure your case just fell through the cracks but at least by contacting them, you bring their attention to it. Good luck and hopefully you hear something reall soon.

Did you request a name change? If not, you may want to call immediately and find out what's up with that. Are you sure it not a status change or the A-number that was changed?

  2. Hey guys! :energy:

Today is one of the best days of my life! :) I'm SOOO happy and excited!! :D I had my K-1 visa interview today (11/25/2014) at the US Embassy in Budapest, Hungary. I arrived 10 minutes early and spent no more than an hour inside altogether. First, a Hungarian lady took my fingerprints and my documents, and I was told to wait a little. After waiting like 10 minutes I was invited to talk with the CO who was a professional looking, nice lady. She asked me some questions about me, my fiancé and our relationship. She didn't ask for any proof of ongoing relationship (not even photos). Then: "Congratulations Miss *my name*, your visa is approved, welcome to the United States." Then the Hungarian lady told me that I'll receive my visa and my passport in 2-4 business days. I was walking on air all the way back home! ^_^

The questions I was asked are the following:

    1. When and how did you meet your fiancé?

    2. When and how did you meet your fiancé in person?

    3. How many times did you meet him in person?

    4. Did you meet any of his family members in person?

    5. What are you planning to do in the U.S.?

    6. What are your marriage plans?

I honestly can't believe that this was the interview that I was so nervous about!! It was so easy and short. After reading a lot of horror stories here on Visajourney; I started to stress about it non-stop. At least it made me to pay attention to every little detail when it came to documents. Reading Visajourney interview stories can be deceiving though. Obviously having a visa interview at the US Embassy of a European VWP country (like Hungary) is a whole different story than having an interview in a third world/high fraud country. I think that if your case doesn't have red flags and you're from a low fraud country (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and European VWP countries) then you will likely have it this easy. :) My advice is to be prepared for everything, have a lot of proof and evidence, keep having faith and hope for the best! ;) It's better to be safe than sorry! :)

Let's get back to my interview experience.....

Congrats. The colored folders are a great idea. Unfortunely, we were not approved. I believe there's more to this and the denial was deliberate as the decision was already made 15 days before the interview. I'm not sure what my options are at this and I am still pondering what to do. I just feel for my poor fiancee who is being tortured by all of this and they won't even allow her to come and visit and it's almost impossible for me to visit. But God is still on the throne and the light will cover the darkness. I strongly believe this is all deliberate. I don't want to add fuel to the fire by saying anything here.

  3. Called again nothing new.

Congrats to those of you on VJ progress, good luck and God bless you all.

Any updates? Please tell me there's good news for you. If not, try calling again. Tell them you know it's just a few days to five months, but something should have happened by now. Ask if they can try to tell you, at the least, what is happening right now with your case. Where in the process is it now, besides the general response you get from the website?

Also you should send an e-mail to USCIS-CaseStatus@dhs.gov

    with the following information

    Receipt Number: WACxxxxxxx

    Petitioner: Axxx-xxx-xxx

    Beneficiary: Axxx-xxx-xxx

  4. Thank you bother; I will call them this coming Friday; I will see what they are going tell me again.

Good luck for the rest of your journey as well.

  5. I called USCIS today to ask my status and they told me to wait until the 5 month reach paired time. Does anyone have any experience if you called USCIS different than mine from what I have been told?

    Thank you for your help!

The only thing I know is to be completely polite and never lose your temper or get frustrated. I called NVC last friday and was told they had not received my documents from USCIS. They said I should wait 60 days and call back. I called back 3 days later on Monday (1 working day, really) and my documents were already at the embassy. So, it would seem that sometimes, the info has not been updated or depends on who you get??!!?? Don't really know. But I would call back Friday again. Was in this position last time, I spoke with someone who had no information for me and later someone else who somehow was able to update me on the status of my case. So, just try again Friday. Most of the officers will go the extra mile for you while others may just be too busy with heavy workload to help you.

  6. This is for Keley & Demola (Keldemo). Have you not hear from the embassy? Or is it that you have not updated your timeline? If you have not heard from them, then you need to send them an e-mail inquiring the status of your petition. Be sure to send to LAGOS,IV and be sure to include all your information, exactly as it is on the letter from NVC.

I was going to wait until next week but sent it off yesterday anyway and it turns out they have received it and they sent me my packet 3. So now I just need to pay the fees and set up interview.

    Good luck to you!

  7. Congrats its time to get those documents ready

Well, like I stated a few posts back, I submitted all the documents with my I-129F, so there's really nothing else except the medical forms and exam. They already have everything. However, I sent a copy of every document and the originals to my fiancee also and asked her to make sure she has them at the interview, just in case. So I just need confirmation from the embassy to schedule the interview then we're off to the races again.

Thanks for your well wishes and I pray your's resolves just as fast.

    Hiiii

We get approved in 22th october but till now we didnt receive hardcopy can we call nvc or we should wait?

    Can u answer me please

First Congrats!!! You should have received your I-797 by now. If not, you need to call the TSC or CSC where you were processed and let them know you have not received your NOA2 (i'm assuming that's what you mean). If you are talking about a letter from NVC, then just wait, cos we were approved Oct 9th and have not gotten anything from NVC. Which is why I called them today, just to get some information though when I called last week, they told me to wait 60 days before calling. Hope this answers your question.

We got our NOA2 5 days after it was approved.

  10. Wow that sounds good.

Congrats to all!!! Seems the train is chugging along CHOO-CHOO!!! I have not received anything but I called NVC and was told the petition was send to the embassy on the 29th of October. I'm so excited cos it means, going by others with similar timelines and country, the embassy should have it by now or should by this weeks end. I'm also glad the interview wait time is just a few days instead of almost 3 months the last time. I was also able to get a case number, so at least I have something when I call the embassy.

  11. Here's statistics I got from the USCIS website for CSC only. They received 1,667 petitions in June. On VJ, we only have 113 June filers...just 6.8% of all petitions received at CSC. So we are just a very small representation of the total statistics. There is really no trend here except to say CSC has completed less petitions than they have received in July and August, whereas in May, June and July, they completed much more than they received. There are no data yet for September and October. But I assume they have completed more than they have received judging from all the approvals here at VJ. Good news is that from April this year, the number of petions received are on a downward trend. For those at TSC, if you look at the statistics below, you will understand why yours is taking longer to approve. Just look at the number of petitions for TSC (12,000+) versus CSC (2,000+ - 4,000+). But the good news for TSC is that, with all the transfers to CSC starting from August, they have evened both to the same now (7,000+). I am happy for the TSC people though we at CSC paid the price. So, for you TSC people, rejoice and be glad, for good news is on the way for you. But all is good.

  12. There are at least 20 June filers without their NOA2 and of the 20, only 2 have RFEs. So you are not alone. It just seems so lonely when you are in any phase. When you get your NOA2, then you will start waiting for NVC and the embassy/consulate for interview and that is another anxious moment, if not the worst of all as this is the final leg of this journey. 13. Thanks for your wish, I thing I am the only one remain from June filers who doesn't received NOA2, i have seen a lot of July and September filers received their NOA2. I am not sure if they are non- philipino or for those who got qualified expedite for whatever reasons.

Good luck for all of you!

There are at least 20 June filers without their NOA2 and of the 20, only 2 have RFEs. So you are not alone. It just seems so lonely when you are in any phase. 14. I'm just curious if anyone that got their NOA2 in October has scheduled their interview, attended their interview or has their documents received by embassy/consulate.It would seem people get their NOA2 and abandon the visajourney website without updating their information. Please try and update your time because it helps us who are still waiting, just like it helped you when you were waiting.

I see two people with similar tiimelines, both got their NOA2 approved same day and NVC received same day and sent off. But only one has record of consulate in Nigeria receiving documents. I am curious because I am on the same timeline and NVC has not even received my documents. Please somebody(s) respond to this. I need to know. Thanks all.

  15. Still waiting for NOA2, I don't know what to do beside counting the 5 month due date,

You should have received your NOA2 by now. I would call them today and see if you can get any information from them. They will tell you the 5 months is not yet over, but I usually say in a very respectful voice that others on my timeline have received their NOA2. Hang in there, it will happen, probably by this coming weeks end.

  16. RIGHT... which is exactly what I said. :goofy:

Obviously, there is a lot of frustration from the long waits and people missing their beloved and lonely. Just like me, it did not take long after posting about the TSC thread before the world started crashing on me.

Before you respond and crucify me again, please understand that I am only trying to save some people pain, and I believe that was what some were also trying to do. This thread is for June filers regardless of where your Service Center is. HOWEVER, a lot of TSC filers started getting frustrated at CSC filers being approved faster. Somebody now suggested to set up another thread for June TSC filers and they did that and I cannot tell you how many people moved to that thread since I don't have that information. When this frustration continued, I posted to inform people about this and unleashed the wrath of many who promptly tried to tell me this thread was not for CSC filers only. I never said it was, but I did not respond because I understood the tension and frustration and people will see only what they want to see.

Here's the bottom line. If you are constantly or seriously getting frustrated by the approvals here, I think what we are trying to tell you is that we feel your pain and you can save yourself from the pain by going to the TSC thread. That way your are with people who are getting approved at your pace and the frustration may not be that painful.

Note that there are CSC filers who are frustrated as well because they are waiting also. If you look at Igor's list, you will see people all the way from 2013 who are yet to get their NOA2. Also, the timeline is November 2014 for us June filers (according to USCIS website), so we are still within that as I was constantly reminded by the call centers. So getting frustrated at this time may not be so wise as you may be setting yourself up for more pain and suffering. The point is to read these posts and try to understand where people are coming from, both those who are frustrated and those who are trying clarify things.

I'm pretty sure the people who set this forum up did so to assist us all on our visa journey. I believe this site has helped me a great lot. I believe knowing there are others in my situation and some sharing their frustrations here has made me know I am not crazy when I get frustrated as well. Let's honor those who set this up and air our frustrations and try not to be critical of each others' frustrations. God's speed to us all!!! :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing:

  17. I hate it when people who are not getting processed at TSC or even the ones who are getting at TSC but are from the Philippines post their approval on this thread. Gets the hopes of filers like us who have been waiting a long time up. I hope others are respectful of our agony and stop posting wrong things in this thread! Sorry just venting out of frustration.

Some countries just process faster for whatever reason. I see people get appproved and within a few days their documents are at the embassy, whereas other people takes months to travel from NVC to embassy. Phillipines is just one of those contries that get approved faster. I don't know why. I share your frustration, but you can't blame them if they are processed faster. Some people don't understand the threads and just post. I got in trouble here when some people were complaining so much and so I have learned to just let people vent, even when they are in the wrong place. A lot of us are frustrated...at least, I was until yesterday. Frustration leads to venting and confusion.. We will all get there eventually, I pray. Getting an NOA1 or NOA2 is just a part of the journey. The interview is the key, as I found out last time around. If you are frustrated now, Imagine how I felt to get to interview stage and be denied for my stupid error and having to start the whole process again.

And let me just put this out there. No matter what anyone tells you, your approval expires after some time and if the embassy has not finished with you and it's about to expire, apply for an extention immediately. If they say you can't, then get some documentation of who you spoke with, when and when, IN WRITING.. Don't make the same mistake I made.
