  1. Send your requested document as soon as possible. I sent mine the day the NVC rep told me I would be getting a checklist. The sooner the better to lessen your 60 day wait time.

    And I did not ever submit a letter of employment...and was not RFEed for one...

    Well.... I guess it depends on which side of the bed the reviewer wakes up :) ...

    BTW : any special instructions to send the document ? Thanks !

  2. On a follow-up call with NVC we were told that our AOS documents were reviewed recently and only thing missing is the Letter of employment, however, as my wife (sponsor) won't have the same job when we move to US, so we showed our assets for financial support, we did not submit this document.

    We were told we should see RFE come our way in a few days:

    Two question:

    - can this we discuss with a supervisor at NVC, and mention/ explain the above.

    - we got the employment letter yesterday from her work, can we send it before we get the actual RFE to avoid further delay. If yes, any special instructions.

    6. What is the reason for your residence: Married to Canadian.

    7. Did you list your foreign address on all forms in I-130 package? Yes

    8. Did you send I-130 package from abroad? Yes

    9. Did you include evidence of your residence abroad in the I-130 package? Yes, bank statements, birth certificates for our daughter.

    10. Did you mention the fact you reside abroad in the cover letter or write a letter describing your current situation and the evolution of your relationship with your spouse (mentioning your residence abroad)? No, just in the forms.

    11. Has your case been "auto-expedited"? How long between NOA1 and NOA2? 12 days. Processed in California.
