    There is a possibility that you might not need to have your biometrics taken. My wife never received her biometrics appointment letter and after calling USCIS and speaking to a Tier-2 officer, we received a notice in the mail that USCIS was able to re-use the biometrics from her AOS petition so there is no need for new biometrics. The letter also stated that there would not be a refund of the $85 biometrics fee, unfortunately.

    Oh yeah? If that's the case when do you think is the best time for me to call the USCIS? Your input is appreciated. Thank you! ☺

    Don't worry, you will probably get it very soon. I know (as we all do) what an anxious time it is to go through this whole process but,  with the benefit of hindsight, patience and don't stress too much would be the best advice I could offer. The wheels turn slowly at uscis but they get there eventually.

    Hi there. I appreciate your prompt reply. Thank you very much. 😘

  3. Happy new year VJ'rs! ;) l was just curious aside from marriage license, valid id, court house fee/s and copies of our birth certificates; what else do we need to complete before our civil wedding in California Court House? Do we also need to submit my fiancee's baptismal, first communion certificate and confirmation certificate from her Catholic church? Thank you.

  4. @ chaedaria & brynz safe travels to you both and congratulations to all of us! :) My flight will be on the 3rd week of January. I still have more time to be with my family in the province and l can't wait to see my newly born niece! Another blessings again yay! :)

  5. @brynz yea right God is good all the time! :) I haven't received a text msg yet from 2GO, so l was thinking if it's okay for me now to leave and pick it up personally. How about you, what are your plans? Or maybe just wait til Friday?

  6. @ Chaeradaria & brynz Hello and Merry Christmas to you both! :) l checked my visa status just now and it says there, "it has been received in the consular section and is currently being processed for delivery". So hopefully, it will be soon forwarded to 2GO later this afternoon and then praying for ready to pick up on Friday (MOA). :)

  7. The CO only asked me 4 basic questions; petitioner's name, his address, his job and where did we meet. While other CO's did ask many questions to other applicants such as the previous divorce of their fiances, kids, wedding plans etc.

  8. @ greenbaum hello there thank you! :)

    @ hank honestly, l thought she was an immigrant applicant and that her US Citizen daughter/son who did petition her (old lady) , and l've almost of asked her that lol! Good thing l've seen her supporting documents that looks familiar to me. Hihihi. I told that to my fiance and he was laughing out loud lol!

  9. Oo0opps! I meant to say *my interview with the CO went well. ;)

    @lobo1369 thank you and you too congrats in advance! :)

    @manilaraf it was thursday, thanks!

    @hank thank you always hank! :) other windows for the final interview took them more than 5 minutes ayayay! I just feel so blessed for an answered prayer and got so lucky because the CO was really nice and seems to be always in a hurry to finish the entire interview. I won't forget the way he laughed and smiled at me lol. Oh btw, during my oath taking there l met this old lady (maybe in her 50's and also a k1 applicant), she got emotional while doing her oath hehe. And the american consul asked her, why are you crying ma'am? And she answered, nothing ma'am tears of joy l'm just happy right now. The american consul was touched and said, aaaawwww... :)

  10. @lobos1369 just keep praying. :) You know what l did while am inside the USEM? I prayed a lot and after praying l was imagining that l was already inside the airport boarding for California just to lessen my anxiety lol! And it worked haha because l was smiling during the entire steps! ;) ;) ;) when l called my fiance to tell the good news he was laughing at me lol! :) again wishing you good luck!

  11. I had my interview 3 days ago and l had no problem with my scanned affidavit of support. Yehey! :) Only the pre-screener Filipina consul asked my w2, 1040 and affidavit of support then gave it back to me. She only got my nbi, bpi receipt, cenomar and birth certificate. My final interview with the consul went went. He didn't bother to see my photo album and my supporting documents; only asked me 4 basic questions, after that he said have a nice day ahead ma'am because you are now approved! Congratulations! To my surprise l said huh? Wow! That's all sir??? Lol and he started laughing at me, yes! Why you want more questions? I replied, no sir! Thank you and may God bless you! And he smiled at me. :) :) :) the interview took only in LESS THAN ONE MINUTE! That was a fast interview approval! Due to my excitement, I wanted to give a hug to the CO but l couldn't hahaha!

  12. The Filipina consul when she did pre-screening my documents, she was surprised when she noticed my DS-160 that my mom is in the States and verified to me about her status and l said she is legal permanent resident. And she replied, oh okay. In your case surely the pre-screener Consul might also ask or verify about the status of your father in the States during your pre-screening. Just tell them the truth. Good luck!
