did u try to call them last year?))))- all lines are busy, please call later.---end call---
No I didn't call them last year. I sent them a message 2 months ago when I thought that my PD will become current inquiring about my IV date but unfortunately there wasn't enough movement. Yesterday they replied to that e-mail with some automated e-mail saying that my case is complete and awaiting a visa number. I don't think there is a point in calling them before May VB comes out. Besides, it is really difficult to get hold of them anyways.

Hey I just want to update you guys. The NVC just responded to an e-mail I sent them 2 months ago inquiring about my interview date saying that my case is on their list of completed cases awaiting availability of a visa numbers....LOL, nothing new here I guess

I'm a doctor and I want to tell you that the tests they run during the immigration medical exam are designed mainly to detect infectious diseases. Still, I strongly urge you to get a mammogram especially if you are older than 40 years old or have a history of breast cancer in the family.

I did my aunt's case and I received her interview letter this evening. She filed for her two adult children with 4 grandchildren as derivative beneficiaries. Here are the details:
Priority Date: August 8, 2007
Embassy: Kingston, Jamaica
Interview Date: May 21, 2015 @ 8AM
My PD is 1 Aug 2007. Does this mean that there will be a forward movement next month? Will I receive an interview letter this month in your opinion?
Is your aunt F1

Bro I am very new to this forum. And I couldn't find any F3 thread. Please guide me and refer me how can I find the F3 thread ?
-Thanks
Here you go...

My case is F3 and my PD is Janruary 2002. Our case got suspended in 2007 for 5 years.
Your PD is current and you should have gotten your green card a long time ago. Contact your lawyer or the NVC. This a an F1 visa thread, there is an F3 visa thread also in this forum, maybe they can help you better.

Hi friends,
I am just new to this forum. And I was viewing some posts on this forum and all the members are asking about the interview letters. I am also waiting for my interview letter. Is there any specific date when do NVC send the IL's to everyone ? If anyone is reviewing my post please reply me.
-Thanks in advance
What is your PD

You don't do AOS unless you are physically present in the US. If you are outside the US you should undergo consular processing.

I'm a medical graduate applying for medical residency in the US in September 2015, and in case I get accepted a medical residency program will sponsor me for a J1 visa in March 2016 - the thing is that, my parents, who are US citizens, have petitioned my green card, and now my documents are getting processed in the NVC. From my PD (category F1) you can tell that I was expecting to become current this month, but assuming a worst case scenario and saying there was a retrogression in the coming months which would prevent me from obtaining my GC by March 2016 . Will applying for a J1 visa and having J1 status, cause any disadvantage on the green card processing, or getting permanent immigrant status granted. Am I even eligible for a J1 with a GC being processed by the NVC??

No, nothing so far and I'm really getting worried.

Did anyone receive anything?

The new visa bulletin is out guys
Aug -1-2007
Now this is my priority date but I still haven't heard anything from the NVC....is this normal, I'm starting to get worried :-(
-
ceac website finally saying 'in transit - Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center'.
haven't gotten my interview date as yet but progress.
I haven't received anything and CEAC says "at NVC" Do you think I should call them and let them know.
-
Now when my PD becomes current this month, will someone please provide me with a timeline explaining when I'm supposed to get my IL letter and when will the NVC schedule my interview.
-
I still haven't gotten anything yet. I have a question though, what is usually written in the invitation letter; do they actually specify a date and what if I want to postpone for a few days am I allowed to this?
-
you have to be in legal status when you PD will be current, if yes you may procced with AOS, but it extra costs and time
http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/nvc/immigrant-processing-faqs.html
I am in the United States and would like to adjust my status. How do I do that?
When a visa is available for your petition (or if the Department of State believes that one will be available in the next several months), the NVC will send you a letter asking what you plan to do. If you respond that you plan to adjust your status, the NVC will hold your file until a USCIS office requests it. If you do not reply, after 30 days, the NVC will begin processing your petition.
Requests for adjustment of status are processed by USCIS not by the NVC. You should contact the USCIS office nearest you for adjustment of status information.
they take time to procced upto 60 days
Thank you Hura for the reply, I think I'll go back home and attend the interview. I'm done waiting

Hey everyone I have a question. I'm currently in the US legally on a B1/B2 visa and my priority date is 1 Aug 07, which in my estimations will become current in March. Now, when this happens do I have to return back to my home country and attend the visa interview or can I do it from here
