  1. Hi I’m signing up as the joint sponsor for my sister’s who got married here thru K1 visa. They got married in September and now trying to file for adjustment for status. Her husband’s income didn’t qualify for the income requirements.

I’m now a US citizen and they asked me if I can sign up as the joint sponsor. Me and my husband files our tax jointly. My income alone satisfies the income requirement. I can provide all the tax transcript and W2’s if needed. my husband has too many jobs (5/6job) in 2016 and 2017 and I have to get over through our files for his W2’s ( which I really don’t have to do cus of my busy schedule). I only work for one company and I can easily download the needed docs.

They had hire Rapid visa to assist them with their paperwork. My question is can I just use my income to joint sponsor? I know I have to provide 3 years of income,2016-2018. ( We haven’t filed our 2019,  still waiting for my husband’s W2’s). Rapid visa says I have to provide me and my husbands W2. I want to someone had the same experience.

     Thanks for all your responses

    question guys...

is it ok to take vacation to the Philippines for 3 weeks while N400 is pending?

I had my biometrics las Monday (july 1) and I don't have interview schedule yet.

Yes I did, as long as you have valid GC or stamp in your passport. How long are you staying? Just make sure you will be back before your interview

Hi @anikkandtim please could you share your interview experience so that we all may benefit from it? Thank you :)

Sure 😊, I would be in detail as much as possible, but I might forget to write some stuff 😊

My interview was about 30 mins.

My husband came with me but they never called or talked to him, the officer said she will just  note that he went with me. The officer was real nice, she said we dress nicely...

When I entered the room, she asked me to raise my right hand (about telling the truth).

Then she mentioned she will be adjudicating my removal of conditions and n-400 application, I saw the documents I submitted during my I-751. She scanned through it, i saw she was looking at the pics. She asked personal question, and asked about the trip I have taken. She told me to bring my passport out but hold onto it.

Then she said, we will be doing the civics test first, I can’t remember all the question,

    1. What are the 2 political parties?

    2. How many House of Representatives?

    3. Name the war in 1800

    4. Name 3 original state

    5 and 6, I can’t remember 😔

Then she asked me to read the sentence and write down what she will be saying.

Then we went over to the long list of questions, it’s the YES/ NO question that determines your eligibility to become a US citizen.

When we went to the question about “are you willing to take the full oath?” I answered NO, she did not ask further question since I already explained it when I filled up the N-400. She showed me the modified oath and asked me to sign.

Next she told me to relax since were almost done. Then I reminded her about my passport. She said she doesn’t need it, she knows I’m telling the truth and she SMILED like this 😊. LOL

After that she told me I passed and she’s recommending me for final approval. She asked if I have any question, I said yes and asked if I need to get a new stamp for a temporary green card since the recent stamped I got will expire in Aug (my GC was expired since 02/2017- my I-751 was pending for more than 2 yrs). She said I should be fine, my oath will be around July so I won’t be needing it.

Congrats. I’m in charlotte nc too. Do you know when is their next oath ceremoney? I’m still waiting for mine :(

Hi the officer said it the oath taking will be in the middle of July.

  4. I travelled to another country (Canada) with my passport expiring in 2 months, no problem coming back... the officer  at the airport (in US) told me I should come back before it expires... Going back to US, again no issue, they just checked if it’s still valid.

i just renewed my passport and they took mine. I explained to them that I needed it but they told me they can’t release my passport if I don’t give it back...Well I did and they sent it back along with the new one.

when my friend renewed it, they never took hers. I guess it will depend on the officer renewing your passport

Hi.. It's my first time here, in my hopes that someone could enlighten me..

My questions are about the advisory on marriage, do i have to get 2 copies of that? 1 is for me and the other is with my husband's name? Or ok lang po ba kahit sakin lang?

And my second question is about my birth certificate, merun po kasing letter dun na namali and then tinapalan nalang ng correct letter. Like for example my name is Shiela, and then the letter “L" was kinda blurry since tapal lang siya. I wonder if it will cause problems on my upcoming interview.

Salamat po sa makapagbibigay ng idea!

    What form are you filing?
