Hi all, Updating my interview timeline. Also sharing my interview experience from today. My application was submitted online. I went to the interview with original documents and some photos as additional supporting documentations (filed based on 3 years marriage). The office in San Jose is very understaffed (This was verbally expressed to one of the applicants that got his interview cancelled at the time when the interview was supposed to happen). I was called half an hour later than the scheduled time by an older gentleman (early 60s maybe) that compared to everyone else who works there (that I encountered), was not very pleasant and polite (he literally called my number and started walking to his office yelling "follow me!", even without seeing who I am) The interview itself was fine (generic yes/no and bio questions). The thing that was unusual was his competence to operate the software system required to complete the case. He kept complaining how nothing responded to the actions he was taking. He even complained that he had to go back and change that i actually have selective services number (he never asked about it, i gave it him because he mumbled something about selective... (mind you this is all uploaded electronically). After the civic and English portion of the test he explained that he will take a look at my supporting documentation and if he is "sattisfied" he will approve it. I nodded and said that I understand the process. He was reviewing the documents that were in electronic format. He opened a file and said "What is this? - Oh it seems like a back of your driver's license" I had no idea what he was looking at and confirmed that i do have that in the uploaded files. So this continued for the next 3-4 files where he always started with "What is this?". He also said he doesn't need the original documents when i offered my husband's birth certificate. So i got the message that he doesn't want anything from me at that time. He acted surprised when he found that I have selective services letter attached there, which just showed me he never looked at the application prior this. Somewhere in that process he stopped to explain to me that its difficult to make a decision especially for gay marriage when there is no children involved. In that case he needs more supporting documentation to be able to make a decision. I nodded again and said that i understand. So he started typing something. I thought he was still reviewing the files (I have quite a bit of files attached). When he finished he gave me a paper that stated , decision could not be made at the moment and that more supporting documents are needed. When I asked what else is needed he responded with mortgage and will and tax returns. I responded back that i have all of that uploaded and he simply said it's not there and he could only see one photo of us (i have definitely more than 10). He explained that this was sent to him by another officer and thats all he has, so I guess they "filtered" it. I would understand if it was paper application but some files in digital format lost? I understand this is a process but i feel this has nothing to do with lack of documentation. The officer was clearly cranky and annoyed. His every second word was "shoot" and "rats" when he seemed to make a mistake with something (or simply the software platform was not behaving as he wanted). I really want to believe that the lack of experience with online applications was the reason for this outcome and not that this marriage is a gay marriage as he stated. So this Monday I am sending the same documentation in paper format (because literally more than enough documents are attached there - basically everything he stated he needs is there). Fprints: Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.
Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview. You can determine your field office here.

IOE: ELIS (efile)
ECD: Estimated completion date as reported in USCIS website for your case
