    Why did I need I864EZ if we have a Joint sponsor?

    He turned in the medical and passport on September 17th.

    Hi, hope you get aproval soon. Officer said everything looked good and gave my brother  a 221g blue letter to only send medical exam  and passport  to Cargo Expreso. We submitted before interview a Joint sponsor  since my father's 1864 states that he has no income.  The day after the interview the website said to submit a 1864ez and instead we resubmitted the Joint sponsor.  We are so confused of that sin my father doesn't work. I just hope we didn't make a mistake by not adding 1864ez.

    We had the appointment before medical exam on August 27th. September 14th we had medical exam and turned passport September 17th... There was an update on September 21st with still refused and another last update October 27th and same refused...

     

    After Interview on August 28th we got a request for I864EZ On CEAC website, We submitted a Joint sponsor on August 23rd since household members didn't meet the poverty requirements because of Covid19 furlough. On August 30th we re uploaded the Joint sponsor info on the I864EZ request... We are so confused on why they asked for I864EZ because we submitted my father's letter stating that he doesn't work with his i864.  

     Is there anything else I can do? I thought this was a 3-4 week wait.

     

    During interview the officer told my brother everything look good and that he would take the passport but he still had the medical exam pending,  he got a blue page saying to turn In medical exam and passport asap. The officer also acknowledged the new Joint sponsor.

    I had interview date at September 8th 2021.I was approved by officer.

    It took almost 5 weeks to get my passport back with visa due to delays in embassy (usually it is nearly 2 weeks). My medical exam was done in July, before Interview. Mostly they were very busy with DV 2021 visas.

    My brother was DQ IN July 2020. Visa interview date was given in July 2021 and scheduled for August 27th 2021

    "Hello,  I received a letter in the interview that all I need is to drop off my passport to Cargo Expreso after my medical exam is complete. When I log on to ceac.state.gov it States my application is incomplete and is requesting an   I-864EZ. I have already submitted a Joint sponsor and was verified during the interview and it does meet the requirements.  I uploaded my father's I-864 with an explanation letter why he cannot meet the above poverty letter. Could the I864EZ form request be an error? I already have a joint sponsor.

    Do I still have to submit I-864EZ even with a Joint sponsor? Or is this an error from the system.  So lost now.

    Hi, on the interview notice I received this as important information...

    "Important Information:
    You submitted forms and supporting documents to the NVC in electronic form. You must present the original forms and documents for review by the consular officer during your interview."

     

    Original forms for I864's are not with my brother.  He only have copies. He does have all original civil documents.  Does this mean he has to bring all forms like the I864s?

     

    Help. I don't want to travel just to drop them off..

    The embassy is taking appointments without the medical exam done because the appointments with the doctors are all booked for the month of August. So they will make a decision once they receive the medical exam results.  

     

    My brother's interview in El Salvador is on August 27th and the doctor's appointment is September 14th.
