  1. Annoyingly, we thought this would take so much longer, so we possibly did not impress upon my parents-in-law in New Hampshire how important it was to get the documents we need into the mail ASAP. I will have my husband email them to ask them to send express. I feel bad because it's SO expensive to send stuff from the USA! Darn the NVC for needing originals. Weirdly, postage is one thing that is much cheaper from Australia.

Crazy journey for those docs. They will travel from new Hampshire, all the way to Australia, just to make a come back again the US. would've been nice if they can just send them direct to NVC, in the perfect world.

  2. I am not an LLc but am self employed.

I wrote a letter on letterhead attesting to my income.

I also provided 4 recent invoices.

I highlighted in my bank account the amounts that agree with the invoices to show ongoing income.

Now, I don't have AOS approval yet, but that's what I did. I also provided an accountant letter, and a cover letter to explain my income. I felt I'd rather fully cover myself with documentation of current income than roll the dice and not give them proof.

thanks for responding. I have my accounting writing a letter for me with his letterhead testifying that I am the CEO and what the projected income for this year will be. Hopefully that will seal the deal. Meanwhile, lets wait for what VJ members have to say about that.

  3. I also didn't realise that it's not usually the case that the DS-261 is immediately available so I guess we got lucky there too!

It is now saying that very very scary 'case in process of termination' thing and I am taking deep calming breaths because jeez that's a scary thing to be faced with! Lucky I read Saylin's amazing wiki. I swear I sleep clutching that thing like a security blanket!

Same here. I was able to get case number and invoice number the same day. I completed DS-261 late that night( last Friday). I couldn't help but kept going back to check to see if I can pay the bill. and OOPS, I did it. I opened the ds-261 the next day. the message almost freaked me out. But I already saw in the wiki that's normal. Thanks Saylin.

  4. I have recently send my AOS package, I was also confused. By calling NVC in multiple occasions and asking questions here in VJ, I think as long as you can make over the PL last year and going to make over this year, you will be fine.

But then again, I am not an expert, you should also call NVC or Waite for someone else to reply your question.

    thank you for your reply

I hope someone more knowledgeable comes by to answer you but I have seen people post that they only sent the 2013 taxes and it was accepted. But I would rather someone who has done this reply. So just give it a little bit this is Sunday so you might get a good answer tomorrow I'm sure. Good luck to you and yours. :D(F) (L) (F)

Thank you Soloenta for your reply. ana solo too. haha :)

  5. I have been reading around and still haven't seen the answer to my question. Please if anybody has the answer, share and shed the light on the issue. My current income is well above the P.G. Last year tax return, which is the only transcript I'm planning to send off, is well above the P.G as well. However, the 2011 is way bellow that guideline. That year I was still going to school and I made only 13,000.00. Do I have to send the transcript for all 3 years or only the 2013's?

I see so many people ask similar question but no one really answered that.

Can some one please take the talking stick? I'm all ears. :)

  6. Hey guys. A little help here. So my i-130 was approved JULY 25. On August 5, 2014 I got an email saying it was shipped to NVC. After calling them again yesterday which was the 16th they still have no case on file. How long will it take to receive case and case number??

It took 23 days for your I-130 to be approved. what's the secret?

My I-130 was approved july 14th, shipped July 22nd, and was arrived Aug 4th, and then was assigned # the 15th.

So, it took 9 business days to arrived and 9 business day to assign a number for the case and invoice.

You should expect somewhere around that.

  7. it takes 3 seconds to print the transcripts from the website. If I were you, I'd send them with another AOS barcode coversheet. I would bet you're getting a checklist. You don't have to send W2's with the transcript HOWEVER, the embassy asked me to bring mine to the interview. But NVC didn't want it . and I only sent my 2013 tax transcript . I never provided 2012 /2011 income amounts not even on the AOS.

Interesting. Did you file tax return for 2012 and 2011?

I'm gathering as much info as possible on that subject. I had a low income for the 2011 tax year, but above the poverty guideline for the 2012 and I don't want it to show at all. So, I was hoping for info that would give me a peace of mind and convince me that I could put n/a or none for the 2011 and 2012 w/o a problem (checklist).

    Thanks .

  8. I called nvc this morning to find out about my case, they have it since the 4th. I was on a well worth it 30 min wait. A rep gave me a case number and the invoice number. So as it is mentioned in the WIKI, I was expecting couple days to be able to log in and submit the DS-261, but by the end of the day I was able to log in and completed it. it was nice feeling really. next week I will try to pay the fee hopefully. Wish everyone good luck, we all need it.

  9. hi all !!

we have been approved today !!!!! YAY

I am travelling right now and my husband called me with this great news !! :)

I hope you are all going to join me soon !!! I an waiting for you ;)

congras nanana. I mostly come to this forum just to check on you, and the rest. I'm truly happy for you and I feel your pain. It took more than usual for mine to be approved too.

    Good luck with NVC process.

  10. yes sure! my husband and attorney forgot to complete the part 8 (1b) ,they forgot put the date! yeah sounds stupid! because is something easy! , but my IV package and ds260 were approved! my scan date ( aos and iv package 25/06 ) but i don't know if it is ok send it tomorrow with the first coversheet or wait and receive the email :/ , i don't want to lose more days ... :(

I would wait just to be sure.

  11. Thanks for your answer!

I'm also hoping to hear from another Moroccan that traveled like this.

I think his concern is not getting back into the USA, but the airport officials in Morocco not allowing him to board the plane with the passport and green card. Hearing from someone that traveled through Morocco with just a passport and green card would ease our minds.

    Hi there,

If your husband has a green card in hand valid for another 2 years (or so) he has nothing to fear, unless he has issues to solve with the immigration. For the Moroccan side, a valid passport and a visa are the only needed docs. If you don't mind to answer, based on what he's got his 2 year green card? You can email me @ moebenben@yahoo.com if you don't want to put this info in the open.
