Yesterday, I checked the status and it said ISSUED!! I am happy and relieved that after 4 years of heartache and torture we will finally be able to be together. When I told my fiance, he did not believe it, he had to look for himself! This site and its members have been so much help and support! THANK YOU ALL and good luck everyone!

My interview was one month ago, interview only took about 5 minutes, the consular said everything looks good, we will contact you in case we need anything within one month, otherwise you can expect the visa through Aramex, we will currently do further processing,

Ours went the same, except they asked me questions instead of asking my fiance...she also gave us the same answer...expect in one to two months. You are in ap, it is normal. Anything we need well call your fiance.

We had our interview on 28 March, my son and I were called in to talk with the CO, she did not talk with my son, only me. She asked what happened With our first application. Then asked questions about my work, our relationship, if we have met each other's families. If I felt safe? (Didn't understand why she asked me that) How and when we meet, if my fiance and I still have facebook, when we decided to get married, what our plans are once he arrives, my hobbies, his hobbies and how the first meeting between my son and my fiance went. After all questioning, she looked over her papers and said everything looked good, if they needed anything they would call him, we would be going into ap n we should find out the answer in one to two months...no congratulations or instant approval lol. Anyone else in ap? If so, how long?

Our k1 case was received by the embassy in October, our interview is scheduled for March 28th. It may have been earlier if we did not have all the trouble with printing the deposit slip to pay the fees.

We checked it daily and kept up with the liaison....our interview is now scheduled!

They FINALLY fixed our problem and there is an amount! We should be able to schedule our interview by friday!

We had problems getting past step 8, so the embassy informed us that due to technical difficulties my fiance would not be able to print the deposit slip and we would be allowed to pay the fee on the day of the interview. They would upload our case to the system and we could then schedule the interview. However, after our case was uploaded we were able to print the deposit slip. My fiance went to CIB bank and tried to pay the fee, he was turned away. The bank teller informed him that it must have an amount printed on it or it cannot be used. We have asked the tech department and they tell us to try a different web browser, we've tried 6 and none show the amount. We asked CIB Bank tellers and they tell himto take it to the embassy to have them write it in, when he went to the embassy they tell him that it is not their business, it belongs in the consulate??? That makes no sense to me. Right now the congressman's immigration liaison is inquiring about how we are to schedule without a receipt. They are taking FOREVER to respond.

We faced the same challenge, we filed K1. My congressman's liaison contacted the embassy and we were told, "due to technical difficulties" we would not be able to print the receipt. Also the embassy would upload our case and we would have to pay the fees on the day of our interview. They uploaded our case and we can print the deposit slip but there is no amount in it, so we cannot use it. We are unable to schedule an interview, and the liaison is in the process of finding out how we are to schedule without a receipt number from CIB Bank. Is there any progress in your case?

We are now able to print the deposit slip, however, there is NO AMOUNT on the slip....what do I do?

I would also like to know how to extend. Our k-1 petition expires 12/28 and we havent even returned the aramex docs yet because we never received packet 3. With the way they say and do ine thing with one person and another thing with another person i'd be afraid to risk not extending. What did you mean when you said "would've helped with the first" ?

Our first petition was sent back to uscis for further review (they confused my fiance with another man who was married in 2011, my fiance is single...never married) and we could not submit proof or appeal their decision because our petition was expired when it was returned.

We are currently waiting for interview, and the petition (k1) expires on 24 this month (12), would it be wise to extend?...would have helped on our first if we had. And if yes, how?

i dont know what live support agent knows, truly!, i even talked to them to ask about the new system they told me they dont know anything about the new system!

Grrr that's not right! Will they now use this new system as an excuse to make mistakes? Btw...my fiance told me that when he enters the case id n hits continue, the deposit slip will flash briefly on the screen and then disappear! Does it matter any if you are on mobile or laptop while viewing the site or creating an account?

He asked the online tech support and they told him they dont know the problem....he was told to send an email to the consulate lol

there is a new system that u can schedule the interview yourself instead of waiting for a call from them

i don't know about the new cases like you,because before u dont need to u dont need to go after step 8 or even we do not reach step 8 to go to the fee page.

Our office schedules a certain number of appointments on a first come, first served basis each month. we are now scheduling applicants who prepared their documents beginning of April. . Below is the standard instruction given to the applicants to prepare for the interview:

Please prepare the following documents for each person applying for a visa and send them to our office via Aramex courier service:

1. Photocopy of passport (the original to be submitted on the appointment date)

2. Photocopy of birth certificate

3. A copy of your divorce certificate (If previously married and divorced)

4. Police certificate from your country of nationality if you are 16 years old or older

5. Police certificate if you lived in a different country for more than 12 months and you were 16 years or older at that time.

6. An Affidavit of Support (Form I-134) signed by the Petitioner and notarized before either a notary public in the U.S. or a consular officer at the embassy.

7. Petitioners most recent year of federal income taxes (form 1040 only). Please also bring the most recent W2 form and a job letter indicating current salary and length of employment

8. Medical exam for applicant as attached, medical examination report should be submitted on the day of the visa interview. Applicants are advised to schedule their medical examination 3weeks prior to the date of their visa interview.

This is what I received, on November 15. Do we pay the fees first?or after returning packet 3?

Hello all, I need some help. We are having trouble printing a deposit slip to make the payment at CIB Bank. We can get to step 8, but once he enters our case ID (CRO20########) it tells us that the ID is not valid and to wait and be patient for it to be updated...our case has said ready for scheduling since October 28th, 2015. Can anyone please help me find and print this slip? We have been trying to do it for over a week now without success. Thanks everyone!

Is this for Egypt?? Our pack 3 email tells us that we have to pay at CIB bank. That we must print a deposit slip (found in his profile? Cannot find it there), and after payment is made we will receive a payment receipt, this receipt will have a number needed to make our interview appointment.

How n where can I print the deposit slip for the visa fees to be paid? It tells you to get it from your embassy profile but my fiance cannot find where and I only use my phone. Any help would be great! Thanks

they have been saying that (April completion dates are being scheduled "now") since at least JULY. I can't speak for K1 applicants, but for CR1/IR1, visajourney data shows interviews for people with CCs through the end of June. I believe K1s that finished their paperwork through May (possibly even June) have gotten interviews, too, but I can't remember where I read that. The Cairo embassy will say "We're processing April 2015 CCs" through 2020.

How long did it take everyone to receive the email with packet 3 after NVC sent their Petition to Cairo? My approved 129f Petition was sent to Cairo in September and we still have not received a packet 3 email. Our case status has shown "ready" since October 1. We went ahead and completed the DS 160 and paid the fee at CIB bank but still no packet 3 email. I sent and inquiry on the account page and the reply referred me to another email for immigrant visas. That email referred me to a Q and A list to try to answer my question. There I found yet another email address that I have sent 2 emails to and haven't gotten any reply. Any suggestions on what I can do to get packet 3? What is the correct email address for inquiries on K-1 visas and what is the normal wait time for a response? I am getting very anxious because I don't think I can send Packet 3 until they first send me the email. And the wait time for the interview doesn't begin until packet 3 is received by the embassy correct? Has this happened to anyone here? What did you do to get them to send packet 3? Thanks!

I have this same question, but I have not been waiting as long as you have been. Some of the best advice I have received from the awesome people on VJ is to involve your congressman's/senator's immigration liaison. They may be able to obtain information you won't ever get from sending an email. Emails usually only generate generic responses.
