  1. So my Wife today passed her citizenship test and she also received her certificate of naturalization. I've noticed that they didn't change her name in the certificate, even though on the application N-400, she stated which name she would like to use. The officer told her she couldn't change her name on the certificate because that was her legal name, she couldn't make any alternations to name because she made  a name change during the 1st Green Card application process, which removed her last name. So what does she do now? With the name she has now on her Certificate of Naturalization can she still make a name change and start the process for an american passport? Need HELP!

  3. My wife, yesterday received her N-400 Interview Appointment. On the notice there is a "Who Should Come With You" section and one of the bullet points mentions
"Your Attorney or Authorized Representative may come with you to the interview, or be available via phone".  Because I filed the N-400 application on behalf of my wife, the correspondence has me as the C/O, does that make me the authorized representative? If so, can I go with my wife to her interview?

Please let me know, it would be a big help.

    Thanks

  4. So my wife applied for form I-751 after months of waiting for a response she got an answer today. She's scheduled for an interview, she hasn't received a letter yet for the interview date.

I have a couple of questions I want to ask, and if anyone can help me that would be great.

    - in the interview letter will it say what we will need to bring and state why we she was picked for the interview?

    - how is the interview process? How long does it take?

  5. My wife is currently studying for her citizenship test. Some questions you have to give one or two answers too. Some other questions they don't define how many answers you have to give, but there are multiple correct answers. Do she only have to say one out the two correct answers or say them both, even though they don't specify how many to give?

They file separately. It’s two completely different applications.

They have to fill out everything or write N/A or None whichever applies.

Im curious as to why you would think they wouldn’t have to mention their children..

Yes of course they have to answer about registering for the selective service.

I didn't know if they had to mention me or not. I didn't know if there was a specific age.

They are going to put no for selective service because we lived in brazil, and when we've came to US they we're past the age range for selective service.

  7. Hello all,

    - Do my parents have to fill Part 6: Information about Parents even though their parents a deceased?

-Do my parents have to fill Part 7: Information about children?

-Do my parents have to fill information about registering for the selective service?

  8. Couple of weeks ago, my wife's application form i-751 got rejected because we sent it early before the 90 day period.

Attached was letter from USCIS to re-submitted the application and related documents.

When we received the application and documents back on the bottom of each paper it had a time stamp on it.

Wanted to know when i re-submit the form again and fill out a new form, can i re-send it with the previous documents that got returned to me with the time stamp or need to re-make copies of all the documents again?

  9. Me and my wife got in the Mail a Request for Evidence letter, on the letter it says" The Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, that you submitted is incomplete. We need additional information to complete the case." - what does this mean? Can anyone reply. I know before she came to states she updated her medical and vaccination records in Brasil, would she only need to translate to put it on form? And who has this I-693 do i need to fill it out again? What is the process? How much is it going to cost? Please help!!

  10. yes i've included my rent lease of how much i pay per month. i don't collect money from rental property.

    You included "Your Rent"?

Do you collect money from a rental property? Or do you mean you showed them how much you pay for rent for yourself each month?

As long as you provided the W2's, and a good statement from your new employer that even states you'll be making so much a year, and can show that with the pay stubs also, you have established that you can adequately support the beneficiary and yourself. I know some consulates don't care for "new" jobs or short term ones, but you just graduated as you stated so you also have the "potential" of better jobs later on.

I think you'll be fine with what you supplied.

  11. I need your help and need someone to respond fast and quick.

I sent my Fiancee the Affidavit of Support form signed, that my self signed it and didn't do a co-sponsor.

My tax return for last year was low due to i just graduated out college and was trying to find a job. Luckily this year I found a perm. job, and my employment letter states i make 40k annual salary. i've also sent my paytubs from the work that im employed now and my current bank statements, plus i also included my rent. Would that be enough for the affidavit of support or would need a co-sponsor, because these days its hard to find a co-sponsor regardless of being family or friends .

  12. Can someone respond to these question, it's really important to me

    1. What should I put for question #7, "I derive an annual income of" I just started my new job six months ago, and they provided me a cover letter of acceptance with how much i'll make annually. Should i put that or should i put how much i made annually with my previous tax returns?

    2. Still under question 7, "I have on deposit in savings banks in the United States" question, if i have a really small amount in savings should i still input how much I have?

3.Question 9 "I have previously submitted affidavit(s) of support for the following person(s)", I should input None, because im the primary sponsor. I assume this self-explanatory, i never had perviously submitted and this is my first time.

    4. Question 10 . "I have submitted a visa petition(s) to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on behalf of the following person(s)." I would put my fiance, is that correct.

    5. Question 11 for the i Intend or do not intend, do I leave that blank or should i write something?

    6. During the Oath or Affirmation of Sponsor section that says "I acknowledge that I have read "Sponsor and Alien Liability" on Page 2 of the instructions for this form, and am aware of my responsibilities as a sponsor under the Social Security Act, as amended, and the Food Stamp Act, as amended." I would write yes is that correct?
