Question here. My husband filed for me and im here in the states 4 months now. Im actually going through a rough time. My husband doesnt want me to work and we barely can afford bills and stuff. I've come to find out he's cheating and he treats me like #######. Im so fed up right now and considering leaving but he threatens me saying i cant take our 1 yr old son. Im worried on what to do.. because im afraid he gets to keep him because im unemployed. Who can i contact for help in my situation and what r how long should he be responsible for me after coming here. I have nothing here and I'm scared of losing my son.

How long after posting for the green card should I expect it in the mail?

Finally.my family is together. Arrived at Orlando I international on Tuesday February 24. Spent over 3 hours waiting for them to process my papers. My son got do restless.. thank God it's over. Awaiting my social security card and yet to pay my green card fee.

Visa picked up Friday February 20.. interview was February 12.. it's over.. Trying to get a ticket to Orlando for Tuesday February 24 from Jamaica but too much connected flights. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone. Wish those waiting hood luck! :-)

Good morning, when do you register for dhl? Do you wait until you have an interview date or can i do it know while i wait for a date? Also once i register will i be required to notify the embassy

My interview review!

Had a 10 am appointment. Got to the embassy little after 9 and was sent in immediately. Waited around an hr for ny number to call. This is where I submitted my medical and outstanding documents and did fingerprints.

Sat and waited for another 45 mins for my name to call for the official interview. Questions asked were:

How long have I known my husband?

What kind of job he does?

How long we married?

Is this mine/ his first marriage?

Do we have kids?

How do we keep our relationship going?

How old is our son?

Where is our son living?

When did we started dating?

She responded saying, we seem to have all your documents so that's it! If u havent registered for dhl plz do so but I have registered already! I was well prepared with all sorts of proof but they asked for nothing. I didnt even know how to express my joy!

Omg I am so happy for you tdier, I have been checking vj constantly to see if you had posted. It's always good to see an approval but it just means something more when its someone from the same country/consulate.

Worst case scenario, you'll need to provide her marriage certificate as proof of name change.

I have my interview tomorrow morning at the Kingston embassy.. I was told to bring joint sponsor documents however today I received those documents including her tax transcripts for the last 3 years but those taxes were filed in her previous name but now she's married and uses her married name.. her certificate of naturalization is in her married name. Im just wondering if this will impose a problem. Help plz?

And that is where I read that u need to register your appointment? Which u didn't answer whether I needed to?

And if I live extremely close to the consulate do I still need to register with DHL?

When you go to the medical they provide you with the form there. There's not much to fill in so u can do it before you see the doctors. You still have to register online for dhl because they dont do pick ups at the embassy. All passports are sent to dhl so thats where you would pick it up. The website is provided in the link Dwheels sent u where u should register.. congratulations on your interview date!

Help plz.. embassy called me saying im gonna need a joint sponsor and that my husband need to fill out the i864 instead of the ez form but what is needed from the joint sponsor.. less than 2 weeks for interview!

A page in my p4 letter came blank. There's nothing in it about medical scheduling but I scheduled it already because I have knowledge of how to. There's also nothing about registering for passport delivery. Do I have to register online. Kingston embassy.

I called Friday hoping I would have gotten my interview dated but didn't.

I received my CC email on Dec 18th.

I see other persons getting there date for the Kingston embassy and I'm kind of worried. I no that I might just be worried over nothing, after all.... there is still one more week of scheduling left. But after a year of having to go through every set back imaginable, I'm never optimistic when it comes to these people.

Using the spreadsheet is it possible to say when and if i'll get a February date?.

Congrats on your CC but it seems Kingston is behind. I waited a month nd a half for my interview date.. I got cc on November 14.. got interview on January 2.. but wish u all d best

Got my P4 this morning.. scheduling medical Monday... Thank God this is almost over.
