me and my wife had successful interview last Thursday in Doha, but I believe its totally difference than other consulates.

we got the 2NL on Dec, 14 for Feb interview.

on Dec 22, we received a call from the embassy to check our email.

in the email they requested us to submit all the required documents (originals + copies) plus photos and medicals. and to be submitted to the consulate by first week of January, and we did.

Interview;

last Thursday we reach the embassy around 9:00 AM, went through security check, then entered to the visa section.

the officer called us, returned the original documents to us, paid the fees, then we wait for the CO to call us.

after 20 mins he called us, toke our fingerprint, then asked us to wait outside, then called us again after 10 mins.

he started with my wife ( principal) few questions, then my self. like how long you are together, where you work, how long you are living in Qatar, and you will move to the US.

That`s it. then he said done, we will call you by next week. By 11:30 we were out.

yesterday we go a call that our passports are ready to collect.

Today we received the passports and the envelopes. with validity of 6 month.

every thing was very smooth and the consulate staff are so kind and friendly.

willing to make the big move on July.

No sir, he is not current yet, the man appears to be from Ethiopia which has it's own Cut Offs ( March VB says: Ethiopia: 22,550 )

Please @meaza edit your post and cross ( X ) the last 3 numbers in your CN, for privacy and security.

Now, it appears that your CN will be current in the upcoming Visa Bulletin ( Visa Bulletin for April, May interviews ) so, can you tell us when you have sent your DS 260 forms ? if early, then you should expect a 2NL to be received in the last couple weeks of March..

My next question is how long does it generally take to have an interview after you received an e-mail a bout your interview date? Thanx...

I've never heard of anyone having to have anything attested like this or indeed at all. Follow the instructions for civil documents for your home country. The only general requirement for another country interview is the language/translation requirement.

All Documents should be attested from your homeland foreign ministry, and your home country embassy and foreign ministry of where you live now and.

I thought I would update everyone on behalf on mother in law.

She had her interview in Abu Dhabi a couple days back and it was very straight-forward.

Documents we brought:

Winning Letter

Application ( I think it's the printout of ds260, can't remember)

High School Diploma

Police Certificate from EU and UAE

Bank Statement

Medicals (my brother in law was on the application as well)

Passport Copies

Two Photographs for mother in law and brother in law)

The Whole process took about two hours. A few questions on current residence, but nothing too difficult. If the documents are in order, then it should be quite straightforward.

Today we had our interview, As illustrated earlier COs are so friendly and almost they seemed that they had the decision from studying your documents before they meet u.

He has asked us about our baby (how old is she ?) -as he doesn't know from the application- ?!?!?

when we've got married?

About my current job and experience...

Lucky we're informed that our visa is approved and to collect the passport on Thursday.

I submitted the forms on the 8th October

2. and how many weeks will be given for preparation when the date comes out.

1. The DS-260 will take between two to three months for process.

Guys I just called KCC last Thursday to check since the DV lottery check site is still show the first letter, so I called them and I surprised when I asked about my Application status she answered me your interview is already scheduled check the site it should be there, then I told her I just check the site and there is nothing, she told me wait few days but I can tell you that it is already scheduled on mid of November 2014, then after few hours we got the second letter and the email to notify us that there is update on the site, so THE INTERVIEW IS ALREADY SCHEDULED
