  1. thank you so much for responding. I have felt physically sick about this since we found out two days ago, he has felt really bad and didn't want to say anything to me. You've made me feel a lot better about the whole thing. thank you.

I'm going to take all the evidence we had for him, even though he might not be currently working, and also the information on the co-sponsor - and of course the I-134 for each of them.

    much appreciated. :)

  2. My fiancé has been working for a temp agency and was able to meet the poverty guidelines. However, having just come back from visiting him and filling in the ds 160 and notification of readiness and having had my medical, he has just found out the contract has ended and there is nothing in the pipeline right now. He hasn't much savings as we used it to live whilst I was there. I'm worried now, what if he doesn't get another placement before my interview? We have a co-sponsor lined up but does anyone have any idea how this will be viewed in the London embassy? We're both gutted about this. Will it be enough that we can show he has been working (bank statements & pay stubs) and also to have a co sponsor?

  3. arrggggg......it was our own fault and can't understand how I could have missed it!! I thought I had completed everything and then sent it over to my fiance for him to print and sign - and complete the rest of his personal details. However, at some point he either used an earlier version that wasn't complete, or, I didn't complete them...I choose to believe it was him  (only joking, but this checking and rechecking does have you wondering).

we missed off answering the questions in part 3, question 3, about convictions - still can't believe we missed them - oh well, now we wait! :clock:

  4. Hi everyone, I initially added this question to another topic but thought it might get buried.....decided it would be better to start a new one. Any help would be most appreciated....

the hard copy of the RFE was received on 20th June. My fiance posted it back to them on 23 June and I'm now a little concerned as I keep going on the USCIS website to see my status update, in the hopes that they may show they are reviewing it, but nothing is happening. I've asked him to check which address he sent it to and but I won't hear from him until later tonight. Would someone please confirm whether they let us know they have received it, or whether the next thing I hear from them will be whether or not our petition has been approved. I'm a little concerned that it may have gone astray and I won't know....

    thanks again

I mailed my Petition packet on 12 May and it took about 2 weeks to get the NOA1.
However my Question is why the USCIS site, where you check status, says that the Reciept # on my NOA1 is 'invalid or cannot be found'.

Anyone have any experiences like this? I am trying to be patient, but it is hard!:-)

Yes!! I'm having the same problem!!! I called and they have my receipt number on file... Asked the Rep as to why I can't access my file on line and she said to give it 30-45 days!!! for it to show... However I see ppl here that go on the next day and they can see their case! Very confused

  7. We have both been married before and although we thought we had no baggage, it's not until you are with someone you can trust and have faith in that you realise you may not have dealt with all quite like you thought you had. We both appreciate what we have and feel very blessed and lucky to have found each other. However, submitting the paperwork and taking it out of our hands, suddenly makes everything that much more real. We, neither of is, have cold feet, but we now realise that this is happening! We are going to have to get used to living in and sharing someone's space again - a scary thought! Wonderful and exciting, but scary too. I'm glad to hear I am not alone in having these thoughts and feelings at a time when everything is very exciting. We love each other wholeheartedly and can't wait to be together....we've just been there and done that and want to do all we can to ensure we are together forever, soul mates is exactly how I would describe us and I know these feelings of uncertainty will pass as we carry on this journey.

Very very excited for the future! ??

  8. Hi everyone, I'm new but am a May filer. We posted our pack on 05.29.14 and received the NOA1 on 05.27.14. We are at CSC.

I've been reading posts with interest - that's all we have left to do once the petition has left our hands, right? Although I am very pleased that we have CSC, I also feel a little guilty about feeling pleased as it does seem very unfair that there is such a difference between the processing times compared to TSC.

It does feel very good though that this now out of my hands, unless we get an RFE there is nothing more that we can do right now...aahhhh (sigh), it's a very stressful time trying to make sure everything is exactly right to send off!

Well, I wish everyone luck and love ;-) and I'll be sure to update regularly, x

  9. Thank you all for your very warm welcome. I do hope you are correct and that our petition is routed to CSC, however, if not, I will do my best to remain patient. I see this as the beginning of the rest of my life so am okay if it takes 3, r, 5, 8 months (although the least time the better!). I will update my timeline as soon a I hear anything...and will try my best to remain open minded ?

  10. Hi, im brand new to this, although i have been reading everyone's posts with interest. We just sent ours off on 20th of this month and am waiting to hear whether they've received it....with the holiday this weekend i know it will delay any communication back from them - so am not sure which centre is going to be dealing with our case yet. My aim is to hopefully be able to move at Christmas. By the sound of it this may be possible...keeping all my fingers and toes crossed. Im okay right now but i know there are going to be times in the coming months when my attitude may not be quite so genial....i apologise in advance for any steam blowing i may do....i have to say that for those of us who aren't 100% certain of what we're doing, this site is invaluable. Well, im sure we'll end up communicating, commiserating or celebrating at some point in the coming months whilst waiting for the wheels to move....(hopefully picking up speed and momentum). Good luck to you...
