I completed DS-261 on July 9. Website shows being completed. One thing I did do after I submitted the form was going back and clicking on completed link. It opened the competed form but I have not done anything else with it, I just closed it out.

I called NVC today, operator told me that system does not show DS-261 being submitted. She said supervisor will look into it. Any clue what this could be, anything to do with me clicking on the "completed" after I was done with submission?

May i ask when did you reopen your completed DS-261? Is it right after you submitted it? Does ceac still shows completed though?

You will not be sending the confirmation page after completion of DS-261. Bar-coded cover letter can be printed out after AOS payment.

You will receive first an email coming from NVC stating that your visa petition is eligible for further processing and you need to complete DS-261 form. Your AOS is available to pay as well. Did they ask for your email?

You will get it in an email (if you provided it) Or in the regular mail (if you didn't)

Where's the bar-coded sheet? Cant find it after paying AOS!!!Does the barcode will only show if the status of payment becomes PAID???

Did you reopened it after completing? If so, then how many days from the day you've submitted it? Because I also reopened my ds-261 like 2 hours after submission so I was worried after reading the stuff about reopening it but one of our friends here told me that it's fine for me. It's for the people who reopened it 2-3wks after their submission because it will start again the waiting time of their IV fee invoice. Also called NVC but it's not in their system yet since I submitted it just yesterday. Gonna call next week just to confirm.

Yes, AOS packet was scanned 6/5 and I actually received a checklist for not writing N/A at Place of Residence (same as mailing address) ... I knew that was coming...

Is this in I-864? Which part? Can't find it?

I have also read about this in Saylin's wiki but i can't figure out which part is this. Anyone please answer me!

-Although the I-864 instructions say if the answer is none or N/A, then to leave it blank, do NOT do this. I have seen countless people get checklists for leaving things blank, specifically the question asking for place of residence. Although it says to fill it out only if it's different from the mailing address, I have seen dozens and dozens of people getting checklists for leaving it blank.

You're fine. The concern is if you re-open it, say two weeks from now, it would put you at the end of the reviewing queue which is backed-up a bit. This week they started reviewing June 6th submissions!!!

I have a feeling they've stopped using it. You don't need it for the ds260 either. The sample looks like you do but you don't.

Now, I am worried because from Saylin's wiki it's indicated that DO NOT REOPEN DS-261 after submission because it will restart the waiting time of your IV bill invoice. In my case, can this be something to worry about. Reopened it like 2 hours after submission. I guess it won't be generated/accepted in that short span of time. Hope it's ok?

I was told DO NOT reopen the DS261 after you have submitted it because it will reset your waiting time for IV invoice.

Ohhh why is ds-261 doesn't have a box to fill out for BIN? In Saylin's screenshot there is a box requiring for it. Is it just me???

Can submission of ds-261 form will go through if you entered a wrong Beneficiary ID?

No I did not I just got the case and invoice number today. I signed in and the form was available for me to fill out plus the payments portal.

Guys I received my case and invoice number today after calling and I also filled out the ds261 form, submitted it and print confirmation sheet. What would be the next step after payment, won't pay today though.

You're misunderstanding this as well. The third criteria isn't requiring W2s, it's just saying the amount you're using to qualify has to come from a W2 (aka salary/wages), and not from any other source, such as a 1099 or something.

No, they're not the same. The 1040 is a tax form that is filed to the IRS. The tax transcript is a summary from the IRS after they've reviewed and fixed any errors on the 1040.

Then can we download the trancript online instead?

Are tax info, 1040 and tax transcript all the same? Because that's what they told my husband when he's requesting for the tax transcript in IRS office.

This can be a huge problem actually. You might receive RFE because of this but if you have corrected this then no worries. you can claim the supplemented marriage certificate after 2 months though.

I thought we're lucky that we got our case numbers earlier, seems that it's the same coz we have to receive first that email confirmation. in that case then basically we need to wait for a month from our case was received till we can pay for AOS lol
