    1.  No but they do not have to give the 221g until they make a decision 2. Yes

I received this email from consular:

Our office is waiting for certain clearances to further process your case. We understand your difficulty because of the delay in the processing. The timing for these clearances are generally based on the history of the case. Our office will contact you as soon as your case gets the clearance.

Is this mean we still on AP?

    Hmm have patience

Some of us waited much longer like a year and eight months before contacted and reaffirmed therefore have patience but keep pushing for answers because that helps tho you need to be told if embassy sent back case finally to USCIS which you wait till have a NOIR for reaffirmation hopefully.

Have patience but keep pushing for answers.

    Good luck

Thanks, I hope you will get your interview date soon.

  3. I was denied for not bonafide marriage.

The second interview went well. Consular asked a lot of questions, then she asks for documents and phone bills, but she didn't ask for any Skype calls so my husband didn't provide to her. I don't know if that's going to be an issue.

After the second interview, my lawyer kept sending emails to the embassy they don't responses to her emails, I don't know why but they did before the interview.

I did contact the senator office they did send an email to the Embassey on Jully the response was "our case still on administrative processing. We understand that patience is required, but we continue to work on this case. He will be notified for any additional requirements or progress."

I haven't contacted the embassy since July, I was told to contact them every two months, I'm going to start contacting them every month..I'm gone have my lawyer send an email to consular on Monday.

    1. Can they deny our case without given 221g?

    2. They took his passport is that good or bad?

  4. I have a question on a reaffirmed case. I file I130 for my husband 2014, He had his interview on June 2015 and given 221g. They kept us on AP for a year and return to USCIS.On July 2016 we received NOIR and denied again Sept 2016. The lawyer I had before he didn’t do a good job of putting our case together, for that reason we were denied. I hired a different lawyer she files the I290B Motion to Reopen. She did a great job on our case we were reaffirmed last year January 2017 we were so happy about our reaffirmed. The case was sent back to the consulate in Sri Lanka for a second Interview. The embassy received our reaffirmed case February 2017 we were back on AP whole year no movement at all until this year the CEAC says “expiring soon” The lawyer email the consulate let them know what's going on, consulate email the lawyer have my husband pick up the package and schedule him for second interview March of this year. Before the interview, he had to do another medical exam and police clearance and after the interview, we were back on AP again and kept his passport. I'm so confused we were on AP for a year and after the second interview AP again NO VISA😞 this is so depressing and heart-aching.

  10. Hello,

On 2014 my husband and i been on ap with uscis for almost year, then it got approve sent back NVC and then us embassy for an interview on June 9th 2015 after interviewed it was put on AP again since then nothing change only time it changes on ceac when it was inquirers done. On April 20th we got the bad news it was denied and sent back to USCIS. I call them on April 6th let them know I was coming to Sri-Lanka and I would like to make an appointment. Person who talk to me and told me when I’m there I can email them and set an appointment. I did that what they ask me to do. Soon after I send the email my husband got a call from the embassy to pick his rest of his documents. I felt that was kinder odd for them to do that when I got the appointment. They knew I was coming and yet they denied before I even got a chance to speak with them.

Anyone knows how long will this whole process going to take? Once again when it goes back to us consular for the second interview can they denied the Visa again? i been told that's possible?

  11. Good morning,

My husband had is interview on June 2015 hes been on AP for five months, I send an email to UE got a response saying case is pending administrative review.. I got the senator involved, they email us embassy got the similar email case is under administrative review, I don’t know what that means is? Last month I got an update still the same AP, should email the embassy again or should I call them? please help?

  12. What counselor ask to your husband can you please tell the detail or interview. After interview your husband got slip 221g

My husband had his interview on June 9th at the interview he didn’t ask for any documents, he gave him a yellow slip 221g he mark on top of the box: No further action is currently required on your part. An officer will contact you when a final decision has been made your case, or if further information is required:

consular kept his passport, our marriage certificate, and birth certificate..

month later embassy call my husband to provide the FB conversation log we had together, following week they call his uncle and talk him. Since then we haven’t heard anything…

  13. Im still here no visa, Im worried at the interview my husband said to the consular he doesn’t have anyone he’s lives himself since his parents pass away, but they call his uncle and ask him if he was living with him.. his uncle said he lives both places, is this going to be a problem since he didn’t mention that part to the consular, I don’t know if there investigating us, I don’t get it… can they denied the visa for that reason.

  14. Getting ready to look at flights! Will be Thursday or Friday at the latest as long as we can pick up visa in morning. I won't book flight till he has it in hand ;) (already had to change once...don't want to take any chances!)

& yes keep having hope! & it feels so good to be on the giving end of the good news!! Your time will come soon...keep watching that status...but not too close...mostly have faith!!

    Interview June 4th

    Submitted my w-2 same day

    Embassy received it June 5th

Congrats JennyLu,J please pray for us are waiting..

  15. From what I've heard the fact that they kept your husbands passport is another good sign. It's the hardest thing to be waiting and be given no information (other than "it's being reviewed" ?) but patience & pray can get you through...with a little help from all us vjers going through it or having been through it. Hang in there!!

Thank you JennyLu, I really appreciated, it’s really nice to have a VJ family supporting for each other, and I will praying for all us...

  16. ShaMarshie1723, there is really now way to know how long your case could be in AP. it could be days, weeks, months or years. But if they didnt ask you for anything it shouldnt be to long. They asked my husband for additional docs and we are now still waiting and it has been a month now. Hopefully we will all hear good news soon!

    JennyLu, any updates?

    JennyLu, any updates?

Thanks nadiah100885, I really hope that we all can get a good news by next week, consular has my husband passport and all other documents, so I am guessing they can keep it long has they want or do they have a time frame on that? When I call the embassy June 30th they tell me my case still on AP..its making me really sad and depress..

  17. Hello,

Can anyone please help me on this, my husband had his interview on June 9th us embassy sri-lanka, after the interview my husband ask the consular how long will take, he told him 3 or more weeks, and he got a 221g yellow slip and he mark on the box “no further action currently required on your part. An officer will contact you when a final decision has been made you case” I went on the ceac check the status it says AP on June 19th someone when in there nothing changes still on AP, I’m really worried why is it taking a it too long for them to issue his visa.. How long does AP satays on Ceac do they have a timeframe after the interview?

  18. Hi Janelle2002

My husband had has his interview on the June 9th, consular gave 221g yellow slip he marked on the box (No further action is currently required on your part.An officer will contact you when a final decision has been made your case) when I check the ceac your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Consular took his passport and all the other documents, I check ceac this morning someone went and change the date from 9th to 21st of June still AP. I don’t know what that means, if anyone can tell me what this mean is I really appreciated I am so confuse and worried I don’t know whats going to happen..

  19. no the dates changed every single time I called the embassy and they checked the status of the case. Today evening it has actually changed from 'ready' to 'administrative processing'. I've read thats a good sign for approved visas as it's the stage before 'issued' so at least I know something is happening. Hopefully it'll all be over this week.

I hope they tell you what's going on with yours as well. Good luck!

Oh that’s really great, Good luck to you too!!!
