hello, i was wondering if you had some brief explanations of peoples timelines. When i look i see the top line for the I-129F and NAO1/NAO2 and people have dates and check marks on them.

but then i see stuff like "Packet 3 and Packet 4" can you explain what these are for.

I'm just waiting to hear back on what to do next, they have received our I-129F but have heard nothing since. and i see people haven't even had NAO2's and they applied in Jan. when customs says 5 moths wait.

You think it would be easier with me being in the military and her coming from canada.

Is there a way to have the process transferred from one service center to another ? If cali is going so fast then why are all the other SC's not transferring them there ?

I am hearing looooong , over the 5 months wait times for TSC.

IT's a 6 month wait for an NOA2 from TSC. They are back logged. Please see my signature with the back log data.... twice as many petitions to approve...

is there a way to get it transferred ?

And yes we can get married in VA it is only 20 mins away and 1/2 the cost of NC. I just thought it to be unfair to her to have my family/friends there and no one from her side.

I get this completely. I don't really want any witnesses either at our courthouse wedding, because we aren't telling anyone about getting married early; we're having a larger wedding in October, and don't really want to tell the people traveling 1000's of miles that they're at the pretend wedding because we already got married.

Its kinda like that, her parents can't travel in january when we do it because its hard for them to get off that time of year. So she asked me and we agreed that if her parents can't see her get married then no one should. It's just on paper, we are having a big ceremony and reception back in canada a year and a half later (summer of 16) it makes since to me. and i don't want to show favoritism toward my family just because they live here.

seems like texas service center is taking forever. If you look at peoples timelines for Texas vs Cali it seems everyone who has a I-129F going through Texas no one is in NOA2 status. Mean while Cali and Transfers from Texas to Cali get approved within a month. Any insight ?

I know it is still early in the game, but, my bride to be does not want any witnesses at the Justice of the Peace wedding. I live in NC, are we required to get married in NC. They require 2 witnesses to the marriage and VA requires none. So i would like to get married in VA since I'm 20 mins away from there also.

any input ?

It is still early and we haven't even had the initial interview. But once Amanda comes to the US and we get married, how hard is the AoS to do on your own ? Already paid a lawyer to do everything up until she enters the US but they want $1500 to do the AoS on top of the $1070 USCIS wants. Should i try to complete it on my own. She is coming from Canada on a K1.

Does anyone have info on Canadian coming to America Visa approval. My fiancee and I are wondering; if/when her interview is and she is approved how long does it normally take to receive her visa and be able to travel into the US to get married.
