My wife and I are looking at traveling Space A to and from Canada.  Is this allowed on a green card?  I have been on the flight several times in the past and the customs agents usually just come out to the plane at the one stopping point in bound to the US and check our the crew/passengers declarations and passports.  But i am not sure how they would react to a Greencard.  We are married so it would just be one declaration card in my/family name.

My wife moved here from Canada the 1st week of January and has not worked since. She finally got here GC in Oct but still did not work (due to being to far along in her pregnancy with our first child) So since she did not work at all would i just file normally as single, married, married filling separately. Trying to get the max amount back ( as is everyone else) also can i just use turbo tax ? I know you guys hate breaking down each persons questions. Sorry in advance.

I am a US Citizen, my wife is going through the green card process. She has recently been approved for Temp. Work Authorization w/ Advanced Parole being granted. While we wait for the Green Card process to continue she became pregnant ( only a few weeks currently).

Is there anything we need to do/ inform USCIS of since we are married already and she is living on american soil ?

Ok so we send a check for $1070 along with all the forms. That $1070 is for the I-485 fee and biometrics correct ?

Also when filling these forms does she need to put her maiden name or my last name on them ?

My wife just moved here from Canada on a K1 VISA in January, we married 4 Feb. When completing the AoS are we required to pay any fee's ? I am AD Military. Also do I have to fill out an I-130 ?

I asked DEERS/ID card office on base today what my fiancee needs to bring, after we are married, in order to be enrolled as a dependent. They said she needs a social but since we are not married yet she doesn't have one or a green card. They said they can do it with her Foreign ID Number. Where do I find this ? Is it in her VISA info in her passport ?

Should I have applied for something as soon as she entered the US a few weeks back ?

How much time should we allow going through the PoE in Montreal (2nd choice Toronto) coming from St.John's NL, Can.

3hr45 mins enough time ? tickets are between 599 and 1400 depending on airline i just want enough time to get her through customs.

anyone have experience going through either of those airports? also to make it harder we are doing this on either the 3rd or 4th of January.

Usually if they cancel they give you a new date. You need to be calling them and find out whats up.

Of course they sent it right before they closed and tomorrow is a holiday. What reasons would they just simply cancel. I mean don't they think people have booked plane tickets for this stuff and now they have to pay to have it changed. Being in the military i know how often the gov't changes its mind. But if i cancel something i would also send the new dat if it had been rescheduled.

my fiancee in canada received a email stating her interview was cancelled... we did not cancel, every thing is paid and they have all requested documentation and online forms. why would they just cancel it with no explanation?

So my fiancé did the online interview appointment scheduling and she has been charged twice on her credit card once on 25 Oct for CA$305.47($265US) from CSC*US EMBASSY MRV and again on 29 OCT for CA$305.71($265US). How do we go about getting a refund for the extra charge ? She tried initially on the 25th and it said no interviews available even after she paid. then she logged in again on the 28th of Oct to see if interviews were available and she got one. Looks like it charged her twice though when she initially tried and again once she received an interview.

any help in dealing with double charges or a phone number/email to contact ?

She got hers yesterday too its Dec 1st 2014 in MTL

she has tried online and over the phone with nothing available. She has paid the K1 fee and received a receipt. She has not signed up for Loomis yet for the Passport/Visa shipping

That's really weird right after I paid it took me to the next step to pick an appt date.....maybe they ran out of appt spots or something. When I booked for oct 30, the next appt date after that was nearing the end of November. I wish I had more advice but to keep calling them bc you should have been able to book right away, my credit card processed right away.

When did you book for OCT 30th? how long after receving packet 4 did you pay/book ?

We have paid and there is nothing and the people on the phonw are as usless as can be when giving us info.

We are having a problem what she needs to do about her passport. Canada requires everyone to travel with their passport even inside of canada to use as proof of ID. How can she travel back home after the interview is they keep her passport and mail it back to her with the visa papers.

This is a K1 Visa being processed by MTL, Canada also

yes i have the same question for Montreal, we paid and it still won't allow to schedule an interview. Does it take a few business days to recognize the payment ? We got packet 4 today. tried calling the number to and the lady said nothing was available .

How long does it take you to get an open interview date ? We just paid the Fee after receiving packet 4. We are unable to get an appointment at this time and they can't tell us when one will become available

My fiancee is coming from NL, Canada she will either do her medical in Toronto or Montreal before her VISA interview in MTL. can anyone tell me what she will need or what to expect for her medical ? she has lived in canada her entire life (1990) so she should have a pretty straight fwd magical/shot record.

So we received the NOA2 in the mail this weekend... but like i said i also had the approval on the USCIS website then it changed back to a transferred status from 11 Aug 2014.... This is confusing the hell out of us. I called and they had no clue either and put in a "Help ticket" for the case. anyone else have a clue ?

i think it could be a glitch since i was approved on the 8th of sept and this new one reverts back to 11 aug when it was transferred to cali from texas. Hopefully i am still approved.

Why was it transferred to a local office if it was approved? Does this mean to say it was transferred from Cali Serv. Cent. to Montreal where she should be having her interview ?

actually looking at the dates now i thought it was sept 9th when i received it but it seems to be back dated, must be some sort of computer glitch ?

I just got one too but I will be put of the country visiting her when it come in the mail. Any clue where it's being transfered. Could the military helpline let me know what we need to do and where it's at ?
